■Vehicle customization
●When the speed linked door locking function and shift position linked door
locking function are both on, the door lock operates as follows .
• When shifting the shift position to any position other than P, all the doors
will be locked.
• If the vehicle is started with all the doors locked, the speed linked door locking function would not operate.
• If the vehicle is started with any door unlocked, the speed li nked door
locking function will operate.
● When the smart key system is off, smart door unlocking cannot be custom-
ized.
● When the doors remain closed after unlocking the doors and the automatic
door lock function is activated, the signals will be generated in accordance
with the operation signal (buzzer) and the operation signal (em ergency
flashers) settings.
■ In the following situations, customize mode in which the settin gs can be
changed through the multi-information display will automaticall y be
turned off.
● A warning message appears after the customize mode screen is di splayed.
● The vehicle begins to move while the customize mode screen is d isplayed.
NOTICE
■During customization
To prevent 12-volt battery discharge, ensure that the fuel cell system is
operating while customizing features.

National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) in addit ion to
notifying Toyota Moto r Sales, U.S.A., Inc. (Toll-free: 1-800-33 1-4331).
If NHTSA receives similar complaints, it may open an investigat ion,
and if it finds that a safety de fect exists in a group of vehic les, it may
order a recall and remedy campaign. However, NHTSA cannot
become involved in individual problems between you, your dealer ,
or Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Inc.

Seat belt instructions for Canadian owners

● Déroulez la sangle diagonale
de telle sorte qu’elle passe bien

plus bas possible sur les
hanches.

● Ne pas vriller la ceinture de sécurité.

adultes plus petites que la moy-
enne, avancez le guide confort
sur la ceinture de sécurité afin
d’écarter cette dernière du cou de
la personne.
Accompagnez de la main l’enrou-
lement de la ceinture, après vous
en être servi, et assurez-vous
qu’elle est convenablement
rangée.
Remettez le guide confort dans sa
position initiale.

Nettoyez avec un chiffon ou une éponge humectée d’eau savonneuse tiède.
Par ailleurs, vérifiez régulièrement que les ceintures ne sont pas effilochées,
entaillées, ou ne paraissent pas exagérément usées.

AVERTISSEMENT
■État et usure des ceintures de sécurité
Inspectez les ceintures de sécurité périodiquement. Contrôlez q u’elles ne
sont pas entaillées, effilochées, et que leurs ancrages ne sont pas desser-
rés. Ne pas utiliser une ceinture de sécurité défectueuse avant qu’elle ne
soit remplacée. Une ceinture de sécurité défectueuse n’apporte aucune
garantie de protection de l’occupant contre des blessures grave s, voire
mortelles.
