When the vehicle is approaching an off-rampor a fork in the road, the driver should steertoward the desired lane to indicate to PilotAssist the desired direction of travel.

Pilot Assist strives to keep the vehicle
in the center of the lane
When Pilot Assist provides steering assistance, itstrives to position the vehicle in the center of thelane between the lane markings. For the smooth-est driving experience possible, the driver shouldpermit the vehicle to find the optimal positioning.The driver should check that the vehicle is posi-tioned safely in the lane and can always adjustthe vehicle's position by applying more force tothe steering wheel.
If Pilot Assist does not position the vehicleappropriately in the lane, the driver shouldturn off Pilot Assist or switch to AdaptiveCruise Control.

Managing Pilot Assist speed

Automatic transmission
Pilot Assist can follow another vehicle at speedsfrom a standstill up to 200 km/h (125 mph).
The lowest speed that can be set for Pilot Assistis 30 km/h (20 mph). When following anothervehicle, ACC can monitor that vehicle's speedand slow your own vehicle down to a standstill,but it is not possible to set speeds lower than30 km/h (20 mph).
The highest possible speed that can be set is200 km/h (125 mph).

Starting the Park Assist Camera
The Park Assist Camera starts automaticallywhen reverse gear is engaged or can be startedmanually using one of the center display's func-tion buttons.

Camera view when manually starting
the camera
Start the Park Assist Camerausing this button in the centerdisplay's Function view.
The screen will first show themost recently used cameraview. However, each time theengine is started, the previous side view will bereplaced by the 360° view and a previously dis-played zoomed-in rear view will be replaced bythe regular rear view.

Automatically deactivating the camera
Front view switches off when the vehicle's speedreaches 25 km/h (16 mph) to help avoid dis-tracting the driver. It will be automatically reactiva-ted if the vehicle's speed falls below 22 km/h(14 mph) within 1 minute as long as the vehicle'sspeed has not exceeded 50 km/h (31 mph).
Other camera views switch off at 15 km/h(9 mph) and are not reactivated.

Factors the driver can control
The driver should be aware that the following fac-tors help conserve energy and improve drivingrange:
charging the battery regularly
preconditioning
Pure drive mode
climate control settings
speed and acceleration
the Hold function
tires and tire pressure.
The following table shows the approximate rela-tionship between constant speed and drivingrange. Driving at a lower constant speed helpsincrease the electric motor's driving range.

In certain situations, it can be useful to controlthe hybrid battery's charge level while driving.This is possible with the Hold and Charge func-tions.
Hold and Charge are available in all drivemodes. The functions will switch off if Pure drivemode is activated.

Function buttons for Hold and Charge
The functions can be activated in the center dis-play's Function view.

Hold
Battery level sustained forlater use.
This function retains the chargein the hybrid battery for theelectric motor and saves availa-ble electrical current for use ata later time, such as when driving in an urbanarea or residential neighborhood.
The vehicle will function as in normal hybrid driv-ing with a discharged battery - in addition toreusing energy from e.g. regenerative braking, thecombustion engine will be used more frequentlyto maintain the charge in the battery.

HomeLink®*8
HomeLink®9 is a programmable remote control,integrated in the vehicle electrical system, thatcan control up to three different devices (e.g.garage door opener, alarm system, outdoor andindoor lighting) and thereby replace the remotecontrols for these.

mirror. The HomeLink® panel consists of threeprogrammable buttons and an indicator light inthe mirror.

Follow these instructions to program
HomeLink®, reset all programming, or programindividual buttons.
NOTE
In some vehicles, the ignition must be on or in
the "accessory position" before HomeLink®
can be programmed or used. It can be a goodidea to put new batteries in the remote con-
trol being replaced by HomeLink® for fasterprogramming and better radio signal trans-
mission. The HomeLink® buttons should bereset before programming.

WARNING
While HomeLink® is being programmed, thegarage door or gate being programmed maybe activated. Make sure that no one is nearthe door or gate during programming. Whenprogramming a garage door opener, it isadvised to park outside of the garage.

1.Point the remote control at the HomeLink®
button to be programmed and hold it about2-8 cm (1-3 inches) from the button. Do not
obstruct the HomeLink® indicator light.
Note: Some remote controls are more effec-
tive at programming HomeLink® from a dis-tance of about 15-20 cm (6-12 inches). Trymoving the remote control closer or furtheraway if you are experiencing any difficultiesprogramming.
2. Press and hold both the remote control but-
ton and the HomeLink® button to be pro-grammed.
3. Do not release the buttons until the indicatorlight has stopped flashing slowly (about oncea second) and either flashes quickly (about10 times a second) or glows steadily.
>Steady glow: Indication that program-ming is complete. Press the programmedbutton twice to activate.
Flashing quickly: The device being pro-
grammed with HomeLink® may have asecurity function that requires an extrastep. Try pressing the programmed buttontwice to see whether the programmingworks. Otherwise, continue with the fol-lowing steps.
4. Locate the "training" button11 on thereceiver for the e.g. garage door opener. It isusually located near the antenna bracket onthe receiver.
5. Press and release the "training" button once.Programming must be completed within 30seconds after pressing the button.
6.Press and release the HomeLink® button tobe programmed. Repeat the press/hold/release sequence a second time. For somereceivers, the sequence may need to berepeated a third time.
>Programming is now completed and thegarage door, gate, etc. should now beactivated when the programmed button ispressed.

Programming individual buttons
To program an individual HomeLink® button:
1. Press and hold the desired button for about20 seconds.
2.When the indicator light on HomeLink®
starts flashing slowly, it is possible to pro-gram as usual.
Note: If the button you are reprogrammingdoes not program with a new device, it willreturn to the previously saved programming.

Resetting the HomeLink ®
buttons
It is only possible to reset all HomeLink® buttonsat once. It is not possible to reset individual but-tons. Individual buttons can only be reprogram-med.
–Press and hold the outer buttons (1 and 3)
on HomeLink® for about 10 seconds.
> When the indicator light goes from asteady glow to flashing, the buttons havebeen reset and are ready for reprogram-ming.

This SiriusXM Travel Link service provides infor-mation and guidance to service stations near thevehicle providing the type of fuel that you prefer/require for your vehicle.
From the SiriusXM Travel Link home screen, toshow fuel information:
–Tap the Fuel button to display the main fuelscreen.

NOTE

Search
Tap the magnifying glass icon. If the function issupported in the current context, a keyboard willappear on the screen. Enter the text of yourchoice and tap Search for detailed information ifavailable.

Tap for a list of service stations in the vicinity ofthe vehicle, with the nearest station at the top ofthe list.

Monthly:
Check cold tire pressure in all tires. Inspectthe tires for wear.
Check that engine coolant and other fluidlevels are between the indicated "min" and"max" markings.
Clean interior glass surfaces with a glasscleaner and soft paper towels.
Wipe driver information displays with a softcloth.
Visually inspect battery terminals for corro-sion. Corrosion may indicate a loose terminalconnector, or a battery near the end of itsuseful service life. Consult your Volvo retailerfor additional information.

As needed:
Wash the car, including the undercarriage, toreduce wear that can be caused by a buildup ofdirt, and corrosion that can be caused by salt res-idues.
Clean leaves and twigs from air intake vents atthe base of the windshield, and from other placeswhere they may collect.

Data transfer between vehicle andworkshop over Wi-Fi
Volvo workshops have a designated Wi-Fi net-work for secure data transfer between your vehi-cle and the workshop. Your visit to the workshopwill be easier and more effective when diagnos-tics information and software can be transferredover the workshop's network.
When you arrive at the workshop, your servicetechnician can connect your vehicle to the work-shop's Wi-Fi network to perform troubleshootingand download software. For this type of commu-nication, the vehicle only connects to a work-shop's network. It is not possible to connect thevehicle to another Wi-Fi network (e.g. your homenetwork) in the same way as to a workshop's net-work.

Connecting with remote key
Connection is usually managed by the servicetechnician, who will use the remote key buttons. Itis therefore important to bring a key with buttonswith you when you visit the workshop. Pressingthe lock button on the remote key three times willconnect the vehicle to the workshop's Wi-Fi net-work.
When the car is connected to a Wi-Fi network,
the symbol appears in the center display.

Fuse pliers are provided on the inside of the fusebox cover to assist in removing and insertingfuses.
There are also spaces for several extra fuses inthe distribution box in the engine compart-ment.

Positions
Fuses 1, 3-21, 23-36, 39-53 and 55-59 are"Micro" fuses.
Fuses 2-22, 37-38 and 54 are "MCase"fuses and should only be replaced by a work-
shop17.
