smoothly before you begin riding in cold
weather. If the control cables are frozen or
do not work smoothly, you could be unable
to control the ATV, which could lead to an
accident or collision. 1. Set the parking brake.
2. Turn the fuel cock to “ON”.
3. Turn the main switch to “ON” and the engine
stop switch to “RUN”.
4. Shift the transmission into neutral.
5. Use the starter (choke) in reference to the
figure:

2. Placer le robinet de carburant sur “ON”.
3. Mettre la clé de contact sur “ON” et le
coupe-circuit du moteur sur “RUN”.
4. Mettre la boîte de vitesses au point mort.
5. Utiliser le starter (choke) en se reportant à
l’illustration et aux informations suivantes:

“ON” (contacto) y el interruptor de parada
del motor a “RUN”.
4. Ponga la transmisión en punto muerto.
5. Accione el arrancador (estrangulador)
tomando como referencia la figura:

Position 1: Cold engine start-
ambient temperature below 5°C.
Position 2: Cold engine start-
ambient temperature at 0°C ~ 30°C
and warming up position.
Position 3: Cold engine start-
ambient temperature above 25°C
and warm engine start position.
6. Completely close the throttle lever and start
the engine by kicking the kick starter.
7. If the engine is started with the starter
(choke) in position 1, the starter (choke)
should be returned to position 2to warm up
the engine. If the engine is started with the
starter (choke) in position 2, keep the
starter (choke) in this position to warm up
the engine.

Position 1: Moteur froid –

6. Fermer complètement le levier d’accéléra-
tion et mettre le moteur en marche à l’aide
de la pédale de kick.
7. Si le moteur est mis en marche en plaçant le
starter sur la position 1, placer ensuite
celui-ci sur la position 2pour réchauffer le
moteur. Si le moteur est mis en marche sur
la position 2, conserver cette position pour
réchauffer le moteur.

motor.

EBU00180Starting a warm engine
To start a warm engine, refer to the “Starting a
cold engine” section. The starter (choke) should
not be used. The throttle should be opened
slightly.EBU00538Warming up
To get maximum engine life, always warm up
the engine before starting off. Never accelerate
hard with a cold engine! To see whether or not
the engine is warm, check if it responds to the
throttle normally with the starter (choke) turned
off.NOTE:
When the parking brake is used, engine speed
is limited to 2,300 r/min. Be sure the parking
brake is released before moving the throttle
lever. Otherwise, the engine will misfire, pre-
venting normal operation.

Afin de garantir la longévité du moteur, il est
indispensable de chauffer le moteur avant de
démarrer. Ne jamais accélérer brusquement
quand le moteur est froid! Le moteur a atteint sa
température normale de fonctionnement dès
qu’il répond immédiatement aux accélérations
avec le starter (choke) en position fermée.N.B.:
Lorsque le frein de stationnement est serré, le
régime du moteur est limité à 2.300 tr/mn.
S’assurer de desserrer le frein de stationnement
avant d’actionner le levier d’accélération. Igno-
rer cette consigne pourrait entraîner des ratés et
un fonctionnement anormal du moteur.

velocidad del motor se limita a 2.300 rpm. Asegú-
rese de que el freno de estacionamiento esté libe-
rado antes de mover la palanca del acelerador. De
lo contrario, el motor funcionaría mal y no podría
operar con normalidad.

This model has a 6-speed forward transmission.
The transmission allows you to control the
amount of power you have available at a given
speed or for starting, accelerating, climbing hills,
etc. To shift into neutral, return the throttle lever
to its original position, apply the clutch and
repeatedly depress the shift pedal until it stops.
When it stops, it will be in first gear. Raise the
pedal slightly to neutral.
