Parking brake lever
The parking brake lever is located at the right side
of the driver’s seat. Setting the parking brake lever
will help keep the vehicle from moving while
parked.
To set the parking brake, pull the lever up com-
pletely.
To release the parking brake, pull up on the lever,
press the release button, and then push the lever
all the way down.
Spring tension helps return the lever to the re-
leased position.TIPIf the parking brake lever is pulled up when the On-
Command drive knob is in the “DIFF UNLOCK”
position, the rear differential gear automatically
locks and the On-Command drive indicator “” is
displayed in the meter. When the parking brake is
released, the rear differential gear unlocks and the
On-Command drive indicator “” displays.

Levier de frein de stationnement
Le levier de frein de stationnement se situe à la droite du
siège du conducteur. Serrer le levier de frein de stationne-
ment afin d’empêcher tout déplacement inopiné du véhi-
cule quand il est garé.
Pour serrer le frein de stationnement, relever complète-
ment le levier.
Pour relâcher le frein de stationnement, tirer sur le levier,
enfoncer le bouton de dégagement, puis repousser le le-
vier tout à fait vers le bas.
La force de ressort facilite le retour du levier à sa position
relâchée.N.B.Si le levier de frein de stationnement est relevé lorsque le
bouton de commande de mode de conduite est à la posi-
tion “DIFF UNLOCK”, le différentiel arrière se bloque
automatiquement et l’indicateur de mode de conduite
“” s’affiche à l’écran. Une fois le frein de stationne-
ment relâché, le différentiel arrière se débloque et l’indi-
cateur de mode de conduite “” s’affiche.

Maneta del freno de estacionamiento
La palanca del freno de estacionamiento está situa-
da a la derecha del asiento del conductor. El freno de
estacionamiento impide que el vehículo se mueva
cuando se encuentra estacionado.
Para accionar el freno de estacionamiento, suba
completamente la palanca.
Para soltar el freno de estacionamiento, tire de la pa-
lanca hacia arriba, pulse el botón de desbloqueo y
baje completamente la palanca.
Un muelle ayuda a la palanca a volver a la posición
desfrenada.NOTASi sube la palanca del freno de estacionamiento
cuando el mando de la tracción On-Command se
encuentra en la posición “DIFF UNLOCK”, el diferen-
cial trasero se bloquea automáticamente y se mues-
tra el indicador de la tracción On-Command “”.
Cuando se quita el freno de estacionamiento, el dife-
rencial trasero se desbloquea y se muestra el indica-
dor de la tracción On-Command “”.

The drive select lever is used to shift the vehicle
into the low, high, neutral, and reverse positions.

push down on the seat.

Make sure the seats are securely latched. Al-

4. Pull the right and left seat lock levers upward
and tip the seat upright. WARNING! Be sure

Accelerator pedal
Check to see that the accelerator pedal operates
correctly. It must operate smoothly and spring
back to the idle position fully when released. Have
a Yamaha dealer repair as necessary for proper
operation.

Seat beltsMake sure that the seat belts are not frayed, torn,
stretched, or damaged. The seat belts must move
smoothly when pulled out and retract on its own
when released. The seat belts must also lock up
when quickly pulled out. The latch plate should
click securely into the buckle and release when the
release button is pushed firmly. Wash off any dirt
or mud that could affect operation. Have a
Yamaha dealer repair as necessary for proper op-
eration.
A crash can damage the restraint systems in your
vehicle. A damaged restraint system may not
properly protect the person using it, resulting in se-
rious injury or death in a crash. To help make sure
your restraint systems are working properly after a
crash, have them inspected and any necessary re-
placements made as soon as possible.
