HEATED WINDOWS AND
MIRRORS
Heated Rear Window
Note:Make sure the engine is runningbefore operating the heated windows.
Press the button to clear theheated rear window of thin iceand fog. The heated rear windowwill automatically turn off after a shortperiod of time. Start the engine before youswitch the heated rear window on.
Note:Do not use razor blades or othersharp objects to clean or remove decalsfrom the inside of the heated rear window.The vehicle warranty does not coverdamage caused to the heated rear windowgrid lines.
Heated Exterior Mirror (If Equipped)
When you switch the heated rear windowon, the heated exterior mirrors willautomatically turn on.
Note:Do not remove ice from the mirrorswith a scraper or adjust the mirror glasswhen it is frozen in place.
Note:Do not clean the mirror housing orglass with harsh abrasives, fuel or otherpetroleum-based cleaning products.
REMOTE START (If Equipped)
The remote start feature allows you topre-condition the interior of your vehicle.The climate control system works toachieve comfort according to your previoussettings.
Note:You cannot adjust the system duringremote start operation.
Turn the ignition on to return the systemto its previous settings. You can now makeadjustments normally, but you need to turncertain vehicle-dependent features backon, such as:
•Heated seats.
•Cooled seats.
•Heated steering wheel.
•Heated mirrors.
•Heated rear window.
You can adjust the default remote startsettings using the information displaycontrols. See Information Displays(page 92).
Automatic Settings
In hot weather, the system is set to 72°F(22°C). The cooled seats are set to high(if available, and selected to AUTO in theinformation display).
In moderate weather, the system eitherheats or cools (based on previoussettings). The rear defroster, heatedmirrors and heated seats do notautomatically turn on.
In cold weather, the system is set to 72°F(22°C). The heated seats are set to high(if available, and selected to AUTO in theinformation display). The rear defrosterand heated mirrors automatically turn on.

2. Continue pressing the control until itreaches the end of the seat track.
3.Continue pressing the control for abouttwo seconds. You will feel the seatbounce back slightly.
Power Lumbar (If Equipped)
The control is located on the outboard sideof the seat. Press the forward or rearwardside of the control for more or less support.
MEMORY FUNCTION (If Equipped)
WARNINGS
Before activating the seat memory,make sure that the area immediatelysurrounding the seat is clear ofobstructions and that all occupants areclear of moving parts.
Do not use the memory functionwhen your vehicle is moving.
This feature automatically recalls theposition of the following:
•Driver seat.
•Power mirrors.
•Power steering column.
•Optional power adjustable foot pedals.
The memory control is located on the leftside of the driver seat.
Saving a PreSet Position
1. Switch the ignition on.
2. Adjust the memory features to yourdesired position.
3. Press and hold the desired presetbutton until you hear a single tone.
You can save up to two preset memorypositions.
You can save a memory preset at any time.
Recalling a PreSet Position
Switch the ignition on.
Press and release the preset buttonassociated with your desired drivingposition. The memory features will moveto the position stored for that preset.
Note:You can only recall preset memoryposition when you switch the ignition off, orwhen you place the transmission in park (P)or neutral (N) if you switch the ignition on.
Note:If you enable Easy Exit, a memoryrecall when the ignition is off will move tothe easy exit position.

You can also recall a preset memoryposition by:
•Pressing the unlock button on yourremote control if it is linked to a presetposition.
•Unlocking the intelligent driver doorhandle if a linked key fob is present.
•Entering a personal entry code on theSecuricode keypad. See Locks (page53).
Note:Using a linked key fob to recall yourmemory position when the ignition is offmoves the seat and steering column to theEasy Entry position.
Note:Pressing any active memory featurecontrol - power seat, mirror (or steeringcolumn switch) (or any memory button)during a memory recall cancels theoperation.
Linking a PreSet Position to yourRemote Control or Intelligent AccessKey Fob
Your vehicle can save the preset memorypositions for up to two remote controls.
1.With the ignition on, move the memorypositions to the desired positions.
2. Press and hold the desired presetbutton for about five seconds. A tonewill sound after about two seconds.Continue holding until a second toneis heard.
3. Within three seconds, press the lockbutton on the remote control you arelinking.
To unlink a remote control, follow thesame procedure – except in step 3, pressthe unlock button on the remote control.
Note:If more than one linked remotecontrol or intelligent access key is in range,the memory function moves to the settingsof the first key to initiate a memory recall.
Easy Entry and Exit Feature (If
Equipped)
This feature adjusts the position of the seatand steering column to allow easier exitand entry to the vehicle.
The driver seat automatically moves 2inches (5 centimeters) rearward when thetransmission is in park (P) and you removethe key from the ignition or you switch theignition off.
The driver seat returns to the previousposition when you put the key in theignition or switch the ignition on.
You can enable or disable this feature inthe information display. See InformationDisplays (page 92).
REAR SEATS
Folding Down the Second Row40% Seat
WARNINGS
Use caution when folding theseatback to the flat back position asthe system will move forward whenyou lift the release handle.
Before returning the seatback to itsoriginal position, make sure thatcargo or any objects are not trappedbehind the seatback. After returning theseatback to its original position, pull on theseatback to make sure that it has fullylatched. An unlatched seat may becomedangerous in the event of a sudden stopor crash.
Make sure that the head restraint is in thedown position and no objects such asbooks, purses or briefcases are on the floorin front of the second row seats beforefolding them down.

To return the seatback to its originalposition, lift the seatback until it latchesinto place.
PowerFold™ Third Row Seat (If
Equipped)
Note:The power fold down seats operatefor 10 minutes after you switch the ignitionoff. The transmission must be in park (P)and the liftgate, or liftgate glass must beopen. Similar to the battery saver feature,the power third row seat disables 10 minutesafter you switch the ignition off.
Note:Be sure that the head restraints arefolded down before powering the third rowseat down.
The control buttons are located on theright-hand rear quarter trim panel(accessible from the liftgate area).

The heated seat module resets at everyignition run cycle. While the ignition is on,press the high or low heated seat switchto enable heating mode. When activated,they will turn off automatically when youturn the engine off.
CLIMATE CONTROLLED SEATS
(If Equipped)
Heated Seats
WARNING
Persons who are unable to feel painto the skin because of advanced age,chronic illness, diabetes, spinal cordinjury, medication, alcohol use, exhaustion,or other physical conditions, must exercisecare when using the seat heater. The seatheater may cause burns even at lowtemperatures, especially if used for longperiods of time. Do not place anything onthe seat that insulates against heat, suchas a blanket or cushion, because this maycause the seat heater to overheat. Do notpuncture the seat with pins, needles, orother pointed objects because this maydamage the heating element which maycause the seat heater to overheat. Anoverheated seat may cause seriouspersonal injury.
Note:Do not do the following:
•Place heavy objects on the seat.
•Operate the seat heater if water or anyother liquid spill on the seat. Allow theseat to dry thoroughly.
The heated seats will only function whenthe engine is running.
Press the heated seat symbol to cyclethrough the various heat settings and off.More indicator lights indicate warmersettings.
Cooled Seats
The cooled seats will only function whenthe engine is running.
Press the cooled seat symbol to cyclethrough the various cooling settings andoff. More indicator lights indicate coolersettings.
If the engine falls below 350 RPM whilethe cooled seats are on, the feature willturn itself off. You will need to reactivateit.
Climate Controlled Seat Air FilterReplacement
The climate controlled seat systemincludes air filters. You must replace themperiodically. See ScheduledMaintenance (page 372).

Locate the filters under each front seat andaccess them from the second-row footwellarea. Move the front seats all the wayforward and to the full up positions to easeaccess.
To remove a filter:
1. Switch the ignition off.
2. Press up on the outside rigid edge ofthe filter and rotate counterclockwiseonce the tabs are released, thenremove the filter.
To install a filter:
1. First, position the filter in its housingmaking sure that the far forward endis all the way up in the housing.
2. Push in on the center of the outsideedge of the filter and rotate up into thehousing until it clips into position.

1.With your vehicle parked outside of thegarage, turn your ignition to the onposition, but do not start your vehicle.
2. Hold your hand-held garage doortransmitter 2–6 in (5–14 cm) awayfrom the HomeLink button you wantto program.
3. Using both hands, simultaneously,press and hold the desired HomeLinkbutton and the hand-held transmitterbutton. DO NOT release either one untilthe HomeLink indicator light flashesslowly and then rapidly. When theindicator light flashes rapidly, bothbuttons may be released. The rapidflashing indicates successful training.
Note:You may need to use a differentmethod if you live in Canada or havedifficulties programming your gate operatoror garage door opener. See Gate Operator/ Canadian Programming.
4. Press and hold the HomeLink buttonyou programmed for two seconds, thenrelease. You may need to do this twiceto activate the door. If your garage doordoes not operate, watch the HomeLinkindicator light.
If the indicator light stays on, theprogramming is complete. No furtheraction is needed.
If the indicator light flashes rapidly for 2seconds and then turns to a constant light,the HomeLink button is not programmedyet. See Programming Your Garage DoorOpener Motor.

Note:You may need a ladder to reach theunit and you may need to remove the coveror lamp lens on your garage door opener.
1. Press the learn button on the garagedoor opener motor and then you have30 seconds to complete the next twosteps.
2. Return to your vehicle.
3.Press and hold the function button youwant to program for 2 seconds, thenrelease. Repeat this step. Dependingon your brand of garage door opener,you may need to repeat this sequencea third time.

12 Volt DC Power Point
WARNINGS
Do not plug optional electricalaccessories into the cigar lightersocket. Incorrect use of the cigarlighter can cause damage not covered bythe vehicle warranty, and can result in fireor serious injury.
Do not use a power point foroperating a cigar lighter. Incorrectuse of the power points can causedamage not covered by the vehiclewarranty, and can result in fire or seriousinjury.
Note:When you switch the ignition on, youcan use the socket to power 12 voltappliances with a maximum current ratingof 15 amps.
If the power supply does not work after youswitch the ignition off, switch the ignitionon.Note:Do not hang any accessory from theaccessory plug.
Note:Do not use the power point over thevehicle capacity of 12 volt DC 180 watts ora fuse may blow.
Note:Always keep the power point capsclosed when not in use.
Do not insert objects other than anaccessory plug into the power point. Thiswill damage the power point and blow thefuse.
Run the vehicle for full capacity use of thepower point.
To prevent the battery from running out ofcharge:
•Do not use the power point longer thannecessary when the vehicle is notrunning.
•Do not leave devices plugged inovernight or when you park your vehiclefor extended periods.
Locations
Power points may be in the followinglocations:
•On the lower instrument panel.
•Inside the center console.
•On the rear of the center console.
•In the rear cargo area.
110 Volt AC Power Point (If Equipped)
WARNING
Do not keep electrical devicesplugged in the power point wheneverthe device is not in use. Do not useany extension cord with the 110 volt ACpower point, since it will defeat the safetyprotection design. Doing so may cause thepower point to overload due to poweringmultiple devices that can reach beyondthe 150 watt load limit and could result infire or serious injury.
Note:The power point will turn off whenthe ignition is switched off or the batteryvoltage drops below 11 volts.
Use the power point for powering electricdevices that require up to 150 watts. It ison the rear of the center console.
Note:Depending on your vehicle, the powerpoint cover may open to the right or upward.
