slack and make sure the seat is
secure.Reverse this procedure to return the
seat to the upright position.
Make sure the seat is securely
latched bef ore driving.
When you are not using the
f astening strap, roll up the strap and
store it properly into the slit on the
seat-back.
Make sure all rear shoulder belts are
positioned in f ront of the rear seat-
backs.
In the center seating position of the
rear seat, be sure the detachable
anchor is latched securely bef ore
using the seat belt (see page ).
Make sure all items in the cargo area
are secured. Loose items can f ly
f orward and cause injury if you have
to brake hard. See
on page .

The seat belt in the rear center seat
is equipped with a detachable anchor.
This allows the center seat belt to be
unlatched when the right side of the
rear seat is folded.To unlatch the detachable anchor
bef ore f olding the seat-back, insert
the latch plate into the slot on the
side of the anchor buckle and allow
the seat belt to retract. Store the
detachable anchor and seat belt latch
plates in the retractor housing.When the seat-back is returned to its
upright position, latch the detachable
anchor by lining up the triangle
marks on the small latch plate and
anchor buckle, then inserting the
plate into the buckle. Tug on the seat
belt to verify that the detachable
anchor is securely latched. Make
sure the seat belt is not twisted.

Using the seat belt with the
detachable anchor unlatched
increases the chance of serious
injury or death in a crash.
Before using the seat belt,
make sure the detachable
anchor is correctly latched.

Both f ront seats are equipped with
seat heaters. The ignition switch
must be ON (II) to use them. Push
the heater switch to turn the power
on or of f . The pilot lamp lights and
remains on while the heaters are on.Do not use the seat heaters when the
engine is of f or when idling f or a
long period of time. They can drain
the battery, making your vehicle
hard to start.
Because of the sensors f or the side
airbag system, there is no heater in
the seat-back.

The driver’s door armrest has a
master power window control panel.
To open any of the passengers’ win-
dows, push down on the appropriate
switch and hold it until the window
reaches the desired position. To
close the window, pull back on the
window switch. Release the switch
when the window gets to the position
you want.
Your vehicle’s windows are electri-
cally-powered. Turn the ignition
switch to ON (II) to raise or lower
any window.
Each door has a switch that controls
its window. To open the window,
push the switch down and hold it.
Release the switch when you want
the window to stop. Close the
window by pulling back on the
switch and holding it.

cause serious injury.
Make sure your passengers are
away from the windows before
closing them.

The master control panel also con-
tains these extra features:
To open the driver’s
window f ully, push the window
switch f irmly down, then release it.
The window automatically goes
down all the way. To stop the
window f rom going all the way down,
pull back on the window switch
brief ly.
To close the driver’s window f ully,
pull back the window switch f irmly,
then release it. The window
automatically goes all the way up. To
stop the window f rom going all the
way up, push down on the window
switch brief ly. To open or close the driver’s window
partially, push down or pull back on
the window switch lightly and hold it.
The window will stop when you
release the switch.
The light inside the AUTO switch
comes on when you turn the ignition
switch to ON (II).
The MAIN switch controls power to
the passengers’ windows. When you
push in the MAIN switch, the
passengers’ windows cannot be
raised or lowered. The MAIN switch
does not af f ect the driver’s window.
To cancel this f eature, push on the
switch again. Keep the MAIN switch
pushed in when you have children in
the vehicle so they do not injure
themselves by operating the
windows unintentionally.

If your vehicle’s battery is
disconnected or goes dead, or the
driver’s window f use is removed, the
AUTO f unction will be disabled. The
power window system needs to be
reset af ter reconnecting the battery
or installing the f use. You should do
the f ollowing.Start the engine. Push down on
the driver’s window switch until
the window is f ully open.
Pull back on the driver’s window
switch to close the window
completely, then hold the switch
f or a second or two more.
If the power windows do not operate
properly af ter resetting, have your
vehicle checked by a Honda dealer.
Auto reverse stops sensing when the
window is almost closed. You should
always check that all passengers and
objects are away from the window
bef ore closing it. If the driver’s window runs into any
obstacle while it is closing
automatically, it will reverse
direction, and then stop. To close the
window, remove the obstacle, then
use the window switch again.

To tilt up the back of the moonroof ,
press and hold the center button
( ). To close the moonroof ,
press and hold the top of the switch
( ). To open the moonroof ,
press and hold the bottom of the
switch ( ). Release the switch
when the moonroof gets to the
desired position. Make sure
everyone’s hands are away f rom the
moonroof bef ore opening or closing
it.
The moonroof has two positions: it
can be tilted up in the back f or
ventilation, or it can be slid back into
the roof . Use the switch under the
lef t dashboard vent to operate the
moonroof . The ignition switch must
be ON (II).

Opening or closing the
moonroof on someone’s hands
or fingers can cause serious
injury.
Make sure all hands and fingers
are clear of the moonroof
before opening or closing it. If you try to open the moonroof in
below-f reezing temperatures, or when
it is covered with snow or ice, you can
damage the moonroof panel or motor.

Push the appropriate edge of the
adjustment switch to move the
mirrorright,left,up,ordown.
When you f inish, move the
selector switch to the center (off)
position. This turns of f the
adjustment switch so you can’t
move a mirror out of position by
accidentally bumping the switch.
Keeptheinsideandoutsidemirrors
clean and adjusted f or best visibility.
Be sure to adjust the mirrors bef ore
you start driving.
The inside mirror has day and night
positions. The night position reduces
glare f rom headlights behind you.
Flip the tab on the bottom edge of
the mirror to select the day or night
position.
Adjust the outside mirrors with the
adjustment switch on the driver’s
door armrest:
Turn the ignition switch ON (II).
Move the selector switch to L
(driver’s side) or R (passenger’s

To use the center table, pull up the
outside edge of the table until it
latches. To store it, pull the lever and
lower the table.
The outside mirrors are heated to re-
move fog and frost. With the ignition
switchON(II),turnontheheaters
by pressing the button. The light in
the button comes on as a reminder.
Press the button again to turn the
heaters off. Sitting on or getting under the table,
or putting heavy objects on the table,
may damage or deform it.
Do not put any items on the table
while driving. They may f all down or
f ly around when you go around
corners or brake hard.On EX and EX-L models in Canada

The center table has a beverage
holder f or the f ront passengers.The rear seat also has a beverage
holder in the center armrest. To use
it, pivot the armrest down.
To use the f ront beverage holder,
pull on the handle. Push the holder
