1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
2. Disconnect driver seat control unit and pedal adjusting switch.
3. Check continuity between driver seat control unit harness con- nector and pedal adjusting switch harness connector.
4. Check continuity between driver seat control unit harness con- nector and ground.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES >> GO TO 3
NO >> Repair or replace harness.
3. CHECK DRIVER SEAT CONTROL UNIT OUTPUT
1. Connect the driver seat control unit.
2. Turn ignition switch ON.
3. Check voltage between driver s eat control unit harness connec-
tor and ground.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES >> GO TO 4
NO >> Replace driver seat control unit.
4. CHECK PEDAL ADJUSTING SWITCH
Refer to ADP-58, "
Component Inspection".
Is the inspection result normal?
YES >> GO TO 5
NO >> Replace pedal adjusting switch.
5. CHECK PEDAL ADJUSTING SWITCH GROUND CIRCUIT
Check continuity between pedal adjusting switch connector M96 ter-
minal 1 and ground.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES >> GO TO 6
NO >> Replace or replace harness.
6. CHECK INTERMITTENT INCIDENT

Memory switch is equipped on the seat memory switch installed to the front door LH trim. The operation signal
is input to the automatic drive positioner control unit when the memory switch is operated.

1. CHECK FUNCTION
1. Select “MEMORY SW 1”, “MEMORY SW 2”, "SET SW" in “Data monitor” mode with CONSULT-III.
2. Check seat memory switch signal under the following conditions.
Is the indication normal?
YES >> INSPECTION END
NO >> Perform diagnosis procedure. Refer to ADP-59, "
DiagnosisProcedure".

1. CHECK MEMORY SWITCH CIRCUIT
1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
2. Disconnect automatic drive positioner control unit and seat memory switch.
3. Check continuity between automat ic drive positioner control unit
harness connector and seat memo ry switch harness connector.
4. Check continuity between automatic drive positioner control unit harness connector and ground.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES >> GO TO 2
NO >> Repair or replace harness.

Changeover switch has three positions (L, N and R).

1. Turn ignition switch OFF.

YES >> GO TO 5.
NO >> Replace automatic drive positioner control unit.
5. CHECK CHANGEOVER SWITCH
Check changeover switch.
Refer to ADP-62, "
CHANGEOVER SWITCH : Component Inspection".
Is the inspection result normal?
YES >> Refer to GI-38, "Intermittent Incident".
NO >> Replace door mirror remote control switch.
6. CHECK INTERMITTENT INCIDENT
Check intermittent incident.
