the warning light off, the car mu st be kept moving until
the regeneration proce ss is completed.
On average, the process las ts 15 minutes . The best con-
ditions to complete the regeneration proce ss are reached
driving the car at about 60 km/h with engine speed over
2000 rpm. When this warning light switches on, it does
not indicate a car failure and thu s it s hould not be taken
to a works hop. A dedicated message will appear on the
dis play when the warning light s witches on (for ver-

Activation
When the ring nut is turned to the AUTO pos ition the
external lights automatically s witch on depending on the
exterior brightne ss.
The headlight s can only be flashed with the s ensor on.
Deactivation
When the lights are switched off by the sensor, the dipped
beam headlight s and s ide lights are switched off and the
day lights are switched on (if activated).
The sens or is not capable of detecting the pre sence of fog
therefore, in thes e circumstances, the lights have to be
turned on manuall y.
FRONT FOG LIGHT S WITH
C ORNERING LIGHTS FUNCTION
When the dipped beam headlights are on and the speed is
below 40 km/h, if the s teering wheel rotation angle is large
or the direction indicators are on, a light (incorporated
in the fog light) will come on on the relevant side to im-
pr

ove vis ibility at night time. The function can be acti-
vated/deactivated via the di splay menu (s ee “Display”
paragraph in thi s chapter).
AUTOMATIC
HEADLIGHT S ENSOR (dusk sensor)
(for vers ions/markets , where provided)
It detects variation s in brightness outs ide the vehicle de-
pending on the light setting: the greater the sens itivity , the
less outs ide light needed to activate the exterior light s be-
ing turned on. The sens itivity of the dus k sens or may be
adjus ted, us ing the “S etup menu” on the ins trument pan-
el.
The daytime running lights are an alterna-
tive to the dipped beam headlights for driving
during the daytime in countries where it is
compulsory to have lights on during the day, and
they are also permitted in those countries where this
is not obligatory.
Daytime running lights cannot replace dipped beam
headlights when driving at night or through tunnels.
The use of daytime running lights is governed by
the highway code of the country in which you are
driving. Comply with the prescriptions.

This is an electronicall y controlled driving a ssistance de-
vice which allow s the vehicle to be driven at a cho sen speed
above 30 km/h on long stretches of dry, straight roads with
few variations (e.g. motorwa ys), without having to depre ss
the accelerator pedal.
It i s therefore not recommended to u se this device on ex-
tra-urban roads with traffic. Do not u se it in town.

The TPMS cannot indicate sudden tyre pres-
sure drops (for example when a tyre blows
out). In this case stop the car, braking with
care and avoiding sharp steering actions.
Replacing the normal tyres with winter tyres
and vice versa requires the inspection of the
TPMS, which should only be carried out by
a Lancia Dealership.
The TPMS requires the use of specific equip-
ment. Contact a Lancia Dealership to find out
which accessories are compatible with the
system (wheels, hub caps etc.). The use of other ac-
cessories may affect the normal operation of the sys-
tem.
Tyre inflation pressure may vary according
to outdoor temperature. The TPMS may tem-
porarily indicate insufficient pressure. In this
case, check the tyre pressures with the tyres cold
and, if necessary, restore the inflation values.
The tyre repair kit (Fix&Go Automatic) pro-
vided with the car is compatible with the
TPMS sensors; using sealants not equiva-
lent with that in the original kit may adversely af-
fect its operation. If sealants not equivalent with
the original one are used, it is recommended to
have the TPMS sensors checked by a qualified re-
pair centre.

1If the vehicle is equipped with the TPMS,
when a tyre is removed, it is advisable to re-
place the rubber gasket for the valve. Contact
a Lancia Dealership.
If the vehicle is equipped with the TPMS, tyre
and/or rim fitting/removal operations require
specific precautions. To avoid damaging the
sensors or fitting them incorrectly, tyre and/or rims
fitting/removal operations should be carried out on-
ly by specialists. Contact a Lancia Dealership.
Particularly strong radiofrequency interfer-
ence may cause the TPMS to operate incor-
rectly. This condition is indicated to the dri-
ver by the
nwarning light or symbol lighting up on
the display together with a dedicated message.
The message will disappear automatically as soon
as the interference ceases to disturb the system.

PARKING SENSORS
(for versions/markets where provided)
The parking s ensors are located in the rear bumper fig. 77
and their function i s to inform the driver, through an in-
termittent acous tic signal, of the pres ence of obstacles be-
hind the car.
A CTIVATION/DEAC TIVATION
The sens ors are automatically activated when revers e gear
i s engaged. A s the obs tacle behind the car gets closer, the
acous tic signal become s more frequent.
fig. 77L0E0059m
A COUS TIC SIGNAL
When revers e gear is engaged and there is an obstacle
behind the car an acou stic signal is activated and the sig-
nal varies as the dis tance of the ob stacle from the bumper
varies .
The frequency of the acoustic signal:
❍ increas es a s the dis tance between the car and the ob-
s tacle decreas es;
❍ becomes continuous when the dis tance between the car
and the ob stacle is less than around 30 cm and stops
immediately if the distance increas es;
❍ is cons tant if the dis tance is unchanged.
Detection distances
Centre operating radiu s 140 cm
S ide operating radiu s 60 cm
If several obs tacles ar

e detected by the sensors, only the
neares t one is considered.
