Observe the following precautions.
Failing to do so may result in the vehicle being unable to be driven safely and possibly
cause an accident.
●Do not use the sensor at speeds in excess of 6 mph (10 km/h).
●The sensors’ detection areas and reaction ti mes are limited. When moving forward or
reversing, check the areas surrounding the vehicle (especially the sides of the vehi-
cle) for safety, and drive slowly, using the brake to control the vehicle’s speed.
●Do not install accessories within the sensors’ detection areas.
NOTICE
■When using intuitive parking assist
In the following situations, the system may not function correctly due to a sensor mal-
function etc. Have the vehicle checked by your Lexus dealer.
●A buzzer does not sound when you tu rn the intuitive parking assist on.
●The intuitive parking assist operation disp lay flashes, and a buzzer sounds when no
obstacles are detected.
●If the area around a sensor co llides with something, or is subjected to strong impact.
●If the bumper collides with something.
●If the display shows continuously without a beep.
●If a display error occurs, first check the sensor.
If the error occurs even if there is no ice, sn ow or mud on the sensor, it is likely that the
sensor is malfunctioning.

Driving assist systems
◆ABS (Anti-lock Brake System)
Helps to prevent wheel lock when the brakes are applied suddenly, or if the brakes are
applied while driving on a slippery road surface
◆Multi Terrain ABS (Anti-lock Brake System)
Helps to prevent wheel lock when the brakes are applied suddenly, or if the brakes are
applied while driving on a slippery road su
rface, or in off-road conditions (such as
rough roads, sand and mud)
Vehicles with Multi-terrain Select system: The Multi Terrain ABS operates in synchro-
nization with the Multi-terrain Select
◆Brake assist
Generates an increase d level of braking force after the brake pedal is depressed
when the system detects a panic stop situation
◆VSC (Vehicle Stability Control)
Helps the driver to control skidding when swerving suddenly or turning on slippery
road surfaces
◆TRAC (Traction Control) for H4 position
Helps to maintain drive power and prevent the drive wheels from spinning when start-
ing the vehicle or accelera ting on slippery roads
To keep driving safety and performance, the following systems operate auto-
matically in response to various drivin g situations. Be aware, however, that
these systems are supplementary and shou ld not be relied upon too heavily
when operating the vehicle.

◆Active TRAC (Traction Control) for L4 position*
Helps to maintain drive power and prevent the 4 wheels from spinning when starting
the vehicle or accelerating on slippe
ry roads, or in off-road conditions
*: The function only works in vehicles with Multi-terrain Sele ct when Multi-terrain
Select is switched on
◆Hill-start assist control
Helps to prevent the vehicle from rolling back ward when starting on an incline or slip-
pery slope
◆KDSS (Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System)
KDSS helps to enhance ride comfort and hand ling response by using a hydraulic con-
trol system to control the su spension stabilizer bars in response to road surface and
driving conditions during co rnering or off-road driving
◆Trailer Sway Control
Helps the driver to control trailer sway by selectively applying brake pressure for indi-
vidual wheels and reducing driving torque when trailer sway is detected.
The slip indicator light will flash while
