Do not use the HomeLink
universal transmitter with
any garage door opener that lacks the safety stop and
reverse feature as required by Federal Safety
Standards. This includes any garage door opener
model manufactured before April 1, 1982.
CAUTION
When programming or operating the garage door
opener, make sure there is no one around the moving
door. It is dangerous if someone is caught.
(b) Operating the garage door opener
Push the appropriate button to activate the garage door
opener. The indicator light comes on. The garage door
opener continues to send the signal for up to 20 seconds
as long as the button is pushed.
(c) Erasing the garage door opener memory
Push and hold down the 2 outside buttons for about 20
seconds until the indicator light flashes. All memorized

portion of the console box.
The cup holder is designed for holding cups or
drink±cans securely in its holes.

drink±cans on the cup holder, as such item may be
thrown about in the compartment and possibly injure
people in the vehicle during sudden braking or an
accident.
To reduce the chance of injury in case of an accident

closed when not in use.

To use the cup holder, push the cup holder portion
of the center armrest in the rear seat.
The cup holder is designed so that cups or drink±cans
fit snugly in the holes.

PENLIGHT

The penlight is in the tool box on the right side of the
trunk.
Battery insertion: Insert the batteries into the
penlight. (The penlight terminals have no + or ± end,
but be sure to insert both batteries facing the same
direction.)
To turn the penlight on, turn the penlight head.
To turn it off, turn the penlight head further in the same
direction or turn it in the reverse direction.FLOOR MAT

Use a floor mat of the correct size.
If the floor carpet and floor mat have a hole, then it is
designed
for use with a locking clip. Fix the floor mat with
locking clip into the hole in the floor carpet.

carpet. If the floor mat slips and interferes with the

LUGGAGE STOWAGEPRECAUTIONS
When stowing luggage or cargo in the vehicle,
observe the following:
Put luggage or cargo in the trunk when at all possible.
Be sure all items are secured in place.
Be careful to keep the vehicle level. Placing the
weight as far forward as possible helps maintain
vehicle balance.
For better fuel economy, do not carry unnecessary
weight.
CAUTION
Do not place anything on the filler panel behind the
rear seatback. Such items may be thrown about and
possibly injure people in the vehicle during sudden
braking or an accident.
Do not drive with objects left on top of the instrument
panel. They may interfere with the driver's field of
view. Or they may move during sharp vehicle
acceleration or turning, and impair the driver's
control of the vehicle. In an accident they may injure
the vehicle occupants.
