The rubber mats at the bottom of the front cup holders can be removed.

■Items unsuitable for the cup holder
Do not place anything other than cups or aluminum cans in the cup holders. Other items may be thrown out of the holder s in the event of an accident or sudden braking, causing injury. If possible , cover hot drinks to prevent burns.

When closing the trunk, do not leave the luggage mat lever hooked on the edge of the trunk. The luggage mat may get damaged.

To set the visor in the forward posi-
tion, flip it down.
To set the visor in the side position,
flip down, unhook, and swing it to the
side.
To use the side extender, place the
visor in the side position, then slide it
backward.
Slide the cover to open.
The light turns on when the cover is
opened.
If the vanity lights remain on when the power switch is turned off, the lights will go off
automatically after 20 minutes.

An assist grip installed on the ceiling
can be used to support your body while
sitting on the seat.
NOTICE
●To avoid damaging the power outlet, close the power outlet lid when the power outlet is not in use. Foreign objects or liquids th at enter the power outlet may cause a short circuit.
●To prevent 12-volt battery discharge, do no t use the power outlet longer than neces- sary when the hybrid system is off.
Assist grips
WARNING
Do not use the assist grip when getting in or out of the vehicle or rising from your seat.
NOTICE
To prevent damage to the assist grip, do not put a heavy load on the assist grip.

7-1. Maintenance and care
●Working from top to bottom, liberally apply water to the vehicle body, wheel
wells and underside of the vehicle to remove any dirt and dust.
●Wash the vehicle body using a sponge or soft cloth, such as a chamois.
●For hard-to-remove marks, use car wash soap and rinse thoroughly with
water.
●Wipe away any water.
●Wax the vehicle when the waterproof coating deteriorates.
If water does not bead on a clean surface, apply wax when the vehicle body is cool.
■Self-restoring coat
The vehicle body has a self-restoring coating that is resistant to small surface scratches caused in a car wash etc.
●The coating lasts for 5 to 8 years from when the vehicle is delivered from the plant.
●The restoration time differs depending on the depth of the scratch and outside tem-perature.
The restoration time may become shorter when the coating is warmed by applying warm water.
●Deep scratches caused by keys, coins, etc. cannot be restored.
●Do not use wax that contains abrasives.
■Automatic car washes
●Fold the mirrors before washing the vehicle. Start washing from the front of the vehicle.
Make sure to extend th e mirrors before driving.
●Brushes used in automatic car washes may scratch the vehicle body and damage the paint.
■High pressure car washes
●Do not allow the nozzles of the car wash to come within close proximity of the windows.
●Before using the car wash, check that the fuel filler door on your vehicle is closed prop-
erly.
