nThe windshield wiper de-icer can be operated when
The “ENGINE START STOP” switch is in IGNITION ON mode.
CAUTION
nWhen the windshield wiper de-icer is on
Do not touch the lower part of the windshield or the side of the front pillars, as the
surfaces can become very hot and burn you.
This feature is used to prevent ice from building up on the windshield and
wiper blades.
Without navigation system
Turns the windshield wiper de-
icer on/off
The windshield wiper de-icer
will automatically turn off after

lIf the portable player is behind the seat or in the glove box or console box
lIf metal is covering or touching the portable player
The Bluetooth® audio system enables you to enjoy music played on a por-
table digital audio player (portable player) from the vehicle speakers via
wireless communication.
This audio system supports Bluetooth®, a wireless data system capable of
playing portable audio music without cables. If your portable player does
not support Bluetooth®, the Bluetooth® audio system will not function.
Vehicles with a navigation system
Owners of models equipped with a navigation system should refer to
the “Navigation System Owner's Manual”.

Hands-free system for mobile phones∗
The hands-free system is a function that allows you to use your mobile
phone without touching it.
This system supports Bluetooth® mobile phones. Bluetooth® is a wireless
data system that allows the mobile phone to wirelessly connect to the
hands-free system and make/receive calls.

nWhen the battery is disconnected
The time display will automatically be set to 1:00.
The clock is displayed when the “ENGINE START STOP” switch is in
ACCESSORY or IGNITION ON mode. Perform the following steps to
adjust the clock.

Outside temperature display
nIf the temperature does not appear
The system may be malfunctioning. Take your vehicle to your Lexus dealer.
nDisplay
In the following situations, the correct outside temperature may not be displayed, or
the display may take longer than normal to change:
lWhen the vehicle is stopped, or moving at low speeds (less than 16 mph [25
km/h])
lWhen the outside temperature has changed suddenly (at the entrance/exit of a
garage, tunnel, etc.)
The temperature display shows within the range of -40°F (-40°C) and
122°F (50°C).

Multi-display light control (vehicles without a navigation system)
nInstrument panel linked brightness control
When the headlight switch is turned on, the brightness of the multi-display will be
reduced in accordance with the brightness of the instrument panel. (→P. 1 6 7 )
The brightness of the multi-display can be adjusted to four levels.
