cle when driving, you could be distracted from th

to lose control of theve hicle. #

try in which you are driving.
R Ifyo u use thevo ice control system in an emer-
ge ncy your voice can change and your tele-
phone call, e.g. an emer gency call, can
th ereby be unnecessarily dela yed.
R Familiarise yourself with thevo ice control sys-
te m functions before starting the journe y.
Using the MBUX Voice Assistant, vehicle func-
tions and various areas of the MBUX multimedia
system can be operated byvoice input. The MBUX Vo
ice Assistant is operational appr oximately half a
minute aTer switching on the ignition and can be
operated from all seats. Further information and
ex amples of voice commands can be found in the
Digital Owner's Manual.
Yo u can use the MBUX Voice Assistant tooperate

You can activate or deactivate Interior Assis-
ta nt functions, e.g. Light. The settings are
sa ved in your cur rent user pro/le and are
seat-speci/c. Viath e user pro/le they are also
av ailable in ano ther vehicle with the MBUX
Interior Assistant. This means that you only
ha ve tomake the settings once and can take
th em with youto theot her vehicle.
% You can switch the Interior Assistant front and
re ar camera on and o. using FrontandRear .
The selected camera settings (on/o.) are not
sa ved in the user pro/le and only apply tothe
cur rent vehicle. If youch ange toano ther vehi-
cle with the MBUX Interior Assistant, please
ch eck the settings and adjust them if neces-
sar y.
The MBUX Interior Assistant is equipped with
front and rear cameras.
% Alternativel y,a con/guration with front cam-
era only is also available.
The front camera consists of two cameras that
support the driver and the front passenger.
The rear camera consists of two cameras that
support the leT and right rear seat passen gers. The MBUX Interior Assistant
records theve hicle
occupants via 3D laser cameras. The cameras of
th e front camera are located in theove rhead con-
trol panel. The cameras of there ar camera are
located in thero of bo ws.
The Assistant de tects interactions of theve hicle
occupants via the cameras. It interpr etsth e natu-
ra l hand, head and body mo vements of theve hi-
cle occupants either in cont ext or at their explicit
re qu est. The Assistant can thus automatically trig-
ge rve hicle interior functions and assist appropri-
ately tothe situation. 1

The Assistant supports vehicle and inf otainment

The Assistant recognises vehicle occupants

functions automaticall y,appropriate tothe sit-
uation.

R The cameras may heat up during operation. As
are sult the cameras may switch o. temp ora-
ri ly , particular lyduring longer periods of oper-
ation and at high outside temp eratures.
Do not touch or co verth e cameras. Wait until
th e cameras ha vecooled down and are availa-
ble again.
The Interior assistant unavailable. Notifica-
tion to follow. message appears.
Yo ure ceive a message when the camera is
av ailable again.
R The front or rear camera is co vered, dirty, fog-
ge d up or scratched.
Wa it until the camera has cooled down before
cleaning the camera co ver.

Clean the outside of the camera co ver with a
dry or damp cotton clo th. Do not use micro/-
