NISSAN recommends theuse ofunleaded
premium gasolinewithanoctane ratingofat
least 91AKI (Anti-Knock Index)number (Re-
search octane number 96).
If unleaded premiumgasolineisnot available,
you may useunleaded regulargasoline withan
octane ratingofatleast 87AKI number
(Research octanenumber 91),but you may
notice adecrease inperformance.
For NISMO RSmodels:
Use unleaded premiumgasolinewithanoctane
rating ofatleast 91AKI (Anti-Knock Index)
number (Research octanenumber 96).
If unleaded premiumgasolineisnot available,
unleaded regulargasoline withanoctane rating
of atleast 87AKI number (Research octane
number 91)may betemporarily used,butonly
under thefollowing precautions:
. Have thefuel tank filled onlypartially with
unleaded regulargasoline, andfillup with
unleaded premiumgasolineassoon as
possible.
. Avoid fullthrottle drivingandabrupt accel-
eration. Use
unleaded premiumgasolineformax -
imum vehicle performance.
CAUTION
. Using afuel other thanthatspeci-
fied could adversely affecttheemis-
sion control system, andmay also
affect warranty coverage.
. Under nocircumstances shoulda
leaded gasoline beused, because
this willdamage thethree-way cat-
alyst.
. Donot use E-15 orE-85 fuelinyour
vehicle. Your vehicle isnot designed
to run onE-15 orE-85 fuel.Using E-
15 orE-85 fuelinavehicle not
specifically designedforE-15 orE-
85 fuel canadversely affectthe
emission controldevices andsys-
tems ofthe vehicle. Damage caused
by such fuelisnot covered bythe
NISSAN newvehicle limitedwar-
ranty.
. U.S. government regulationsrequire
ethanol dispensing pumpstobe
identified byasmall, square, orange and
black labelwiththecommon
abbreviation orthe appropriate per-
centage forthat region.
