supply exists at time control unit terminal
1.)
LIGHT WARNING CHIME
With ignition switch in the OFF position, driver’s door open, and lighting switch in 1ST or 2ND position,
warning chime will sound. A battery positive voltage is supplied
from lighting switch terminal12or daytime light control unit terminal6
to time control unit terminal10.
Ground is supplied

System Description
WIPER OPERATION
The wiper switch is controlled by a lever built into the combination switch.
There are three wiper switch positions:
LO speed
HI speed
INT (Intermittent).
With the ignition switch in the ON or START position, power is supplied
through 20A fuse (No.located in the fuse block)
to wiper motor terminal6and3.
Low and high speed wiper operation
Ground is supplied to wiper switch terminal17through body groundsE11andE37.
When the wiper switch is placed in the LO position, ground is supplied
Through terminal14of the wiper switch
to wiper motor terminal2.
With power and ground supplied, the wiper motor operates at low speed.
When the wiper switch is placed in the HI position, ground is supplied
Through terminal16of the wiper switch
to wiper motor terminal1.
With power and ground supplied, the wiper motor operates at high speed.
Auto stop operation
With wiper switch turned OFF, wiper motor will continue to operate until wiper arms reach windshield base.
When wiper arms are not located at base of windshield with wiper switch OFF, ground is provided
from terminal14of the wiper switch
to wiper motor terminal2, in order to continue wiper motor operation at low speed.
Ground is also supplied
through terminal13of the wiper switch
to front wiper relay terminal3
through terminal4of the front wiper relay
to wiper motor terminal5
through terminal4of the wiper motor, and
through body groundsE11andE37.
When wiper arms reach base of windshield, wiper motor terminals
5and3are connected instead of
terminals
5and4. Wiper motor will then stop wiper arms at the PARK position.
Intermittent operation
With variable intermittent
The wiper motor operates the wiper arms at a set interval of approximately 2 to 20 seconds. This feature is
controlled by the combination switch wiper amplifier.
When the wiper switch is placed in the INT position, ground is supplied
to front wiper relay terminal5
from wiper switch terminal13
through body groundsE37andE11.
to wiper motor terminal2
through the wiper switch terminal14
to wiper switch terminal13
through front wiper relay terminal3
The desired interval time is input
to front wiper relay terminal1
from wiper switch terminal20.
The wiper motor operates at low speed at the desired time interval.

WIPER OPERATION
Without variable intermittent
The wiper motor operates the wiper arms at an interval of approximately 7 seconds. This feature is controlled
by the combination switch wiper amplifier.
When the wiper switch is placed in the INT position, ground is supplied
to front wiper relay terminal5
from wiper switch terminal13
to wiper motor terminal2
through the wiper switch terminal14
to wiper switch terminal13
through front wiper relay terminal3
WASHER OPERATION
With the ignition switch in the ON or START position, power is supplied
through 10A fuse (No.21, located in the fuse block)
to washer switch terminal5.
When the lever is pulled to the WASH/F position, ground is supplied
to washer motor terminal2
from terminal18of the wiper switch
through terminal4of the wiper switch, and
through body groundsE37andE11.
Power is supplied
from terminal3of the washer switch
to washer motor terminal1.
With power and ground supplied, the washer motor operates.
When the lever is pulled to the WASH position for one second or more, the wiper motor operates at low speed
for approximately 3 seconds to clean windshield. This feature is controlled by the combination switch (wiper
amplifier) in the same manner as the intermittent operation.
