System Description
Power is supplied at all times
from 40A fusible link (Lettere , located in the fusible link and fuse box)
through circuit breaker-1
to power window relay.
With ignition switch in ON or START position, power is supplied
to power window relay.
Ground is supplied to power window relay
through body groundsM6,M28andM26.
The power window relay is energized and power is supplied
through power window relay.
to power window main switch terminal12,
to passenger side power window sub-switch terminal5,
to rear power window sub-switch LH terminal5,
to rear power window sub-switch RH terminal5.
MANUAL OPERATION
Driver’s door
Ground is supplied
to front power window main switch terminals2
through body groundsB18andB27.
WINDOW UP
When a driver side switch in the power window main switch is pressed in the up position,
power is supplied
to driver side power window regulator terminal1
through power window main switch terminal3.
Ground is supplied
to driver side power window regulator terminal2
through power window main switch terminal4.
Then, the motor raises the window until the switch is released.
WINDOW DOWN
When a driver side switch in the power window main switch is pressed in the down position,
power is supplied
to driver side power window regulator terminal2
through power window main switch terminal4.
Ground is supplied
to driver side power window regulator terminal1
through power window main switch terminal3.
Then, the motor lowers the window until the switch is released.

Ground is supplied
to power window main switch terminal2

Operation by main switch.
Power is supplied
through power window main switch (6,10)
to passenger side power window sub-switch (3,1).
The subsequent operations are the same as those outlined under“Operation by sub-switches”.
Operation by sub-switches
Power is supplied
through passenger side power window sub-switch (2,4)
to passenger side power window regulator (1,2).
Ground is supplied
to passenger side power window regulator (2,1)
through passenger side power window sub-switch (2,4)
to passenger side power window sub-switch (1,3)
through power window main switch (6,10).
Then, the motor raises or lowers the window until the switch is released.
REAR DOOR LH

Operation by sub-switches
Power is supplied
through rear power window sub-switch RH (2,4)
to rear power window regulator RH (1,2).
Ground is supplied
to rear power window regulator RH (2,1)
through rear power window sub-switch RH (4,2)
to rear power window sub-switch RH (1,3)
through power window main switch (16,15)
Then, the motor raises or lowers the window until the switch is released.
AUTO OPERATION
The power window AUTO feature enables the driver to open or close the driver’s window without holding
the window switch in the respective position.
When the AUTO switch in the main switch is pressed and released, the driver’s window will travel to the
fully open or closed position.
POWER WINDOW LOCK
The power window lock is designed to lock-out window operation to all windows except the driver’s door
window.
When the lock switch is pressed to lock position, ground of the passenger side switch, rear RH switch and
rear LH switch in the power window main switch is disconnected. This prevents the power window motors
from operating.
