to BCM terminal 11.
Ground is supplied
to BCM terminal 52
to combination meter terminals 10, 11 and 12, and
to unified meter and A/C amp. terminals 29 and 30
through grounds M71 and M72,
to IPDM E/R terminals 38 and 60
through grounds E1 and E31.
PARKING, LICENCE PLATE AND TAIL LAMPS OPERATION
When the lighting switch is in 1ST position, BCM detects the LIGHTING SWITCH 1ST POSITION (ON) by
BCM combination switch reading function. And then, BCM sends position light request signal (ON) through
CAN communication.
When receiving position light request signal (ON), IPDM E/R turns ON tail lamp relay in IPDM E/R. And then,
parking, license plate and tail lamps go ON. IPDM E/R supplies power
through IPDM E/R terminal 22
to front combination lamp RH and LH terminals 7
to license plate lamp RH and LH terminals 1 and
to rear combination lamp RH and LH terminals 3.
Ground is supplied at all times
to front combination lamp RH and LH terminals 4
through grounds E1 and E31,
to license plate lamp RH and LH terminals 2
through grounds B214 and B217,
to rear combination lamp RH and LH terminals 2
through grounds M71 and M72 (with rear view camera)
through grounds B16 and B17 (without rear view camera).
With power and ground supplied, the parking, license plate and tail lamps illuminate.
Unified meter and A/C amp. receives position light request signal (ON) through CAN communication, make tail
lamp indicator go ON in combination meter.
COMBINATION SWITCH READING FUNCTION
Refer to BCS-3, "COMBINATION SWITCH READING FUNCTION" .
EXTERIOR LAMP BATTERY SAVER CONTROL
When any of the 1ST/2ND position with exterior lamp ON, the ignition switch is turned to OFF. The driver's
door is opened to get out of the car and then closed, BCM turns OFF exterior lamp with door lock operation of
the remote keyless entry system or Intelligent Key system in order to prevent battery from running by forget-
ting about turning OFF the exterior lamp.
This setting can be changed by CONSULT-II. Refer to LT- 1 9 , "
WORK SUPPORT" .

SWITCH OPERATION
When the key switch and key lock solenoid (key switch) is ON (key is inserted), power is supplied (without
Intelligent Key system)
through the key switch and key lock solenoid terminal 4
to BCM terminal 37.
With power is supplied, BCM detects that the key is inserted.
When the ignition knob switch, key switch and key lock solenoid (key switch) is ON (key is inserted), power is
supplied (with Intelligent Key system)
through ignition knob switch, key switch and key lock solenoid terminal 8
to BCM terminal 37.
With power is supplied, BCM detects that the key is inserted.
When the ignition knob switch, key switch and key lock solenoid (ignition knob switch) is ON (ignition knob
switch is pushed), power is supplied (with Intelligent Key system)
through ignition knob switch key switch and key lock solenoid terminal 2
to Intelligent Key unit terminal 27.
With power is supplied, Intelligent Key unit detects that the ignition knob switch is pushed. Intelligent Key unit
sends ignition knob switch signal (ON) to BCM through CAN communication.
