CHANGING A FUSE
Procedure for replacing a faulty fuse
with a new fuse to rectify a failure of the
c o r r e s p o n d i n g f u n c t i o n .
Access to the tools
T h e e x t r a c t i o n p l i e r s a n d t h e s p a r e f u s -
es are installed on the back of the fascia
f u s e b o x c o v e r .
T o g a i n a c c e s s t o t h e m :
turn the screw a quarter of a turn to
the left,
u n c l i p t h e c o v e r b y p u l l i n g a t t h e t o p
right,
r e m o v e t h e c o v e r c o m p l e t e l y ,
r e m o v e t h e p l i e r s . Changing a fuse
Before changing a fuse, the cause of
t h e f a i l u r e m u s t b e i d e n t i fi e d a n d r e c t i -
fi e d .
I d e n t i f y t h e f a u l t y f u s e b y c h e c k i n g
t h e c o n d i t i o n o f i t s fi l a m e n t .
Use the special pliers to extract the
f u s e f r o m i t s h o u s i n g .
A l w a y s r e p l a c e t h e f a u l t y f u s e w i t h a
f u s e o f t h e s a m e r a t i n g .
Check the correspondence between
the number etched on the box, the
rating etched on the fuse and the
t a b l e s b e l o w .
