PRACTICAL INFORMATION
Parking the vehicle
Immobilise the vehicle where it
does not block traffi c: the ground
must be level, stable and non-slip-
pery ground.
Apply the handbrake, switch off the
ignition and engage fi rst gear * to
lock the wheels.
If necessary, place a chock under
the wheel diagonally opposite the
wheel to be changed.
It is imperative that you ensure that
the occupants get out of the vehicle
and wait where they are safe.
Never go underneath a vehicle
raised using a jack; use an axle
stand.
Removing the wheel
List of operations

 Remove the chromed bolt cover from
each of the bolts using the tool 3 .

 Fit the anti-theft socket 5 on the
wheelbrace 1 to unlock the anti-theft
bolt.

 Unlock the other bolts using the
wheelbrace 1 only.

 Place the jack 2 in contact with one
of the two front A or rear B locations
provided on the underframe, which-
ever is closest to the wheel to be
changed.

 Extend the jack 2 until its base plate
is in contact with the ground. Ensure
that the centreline of the jack base
plate is directly below the location A
or B used.

 Raise the vehicle until there is suf-
fi cient space between the wheel and
the ground to admit the spare (not
punctured) wheel easily.

 Remove the bolts and store them in
a clean place.

 Remove the wheel.

After changing a wheel
To store the punctured wheel in the
boot correctly, fi rst remove the cen-
tral cover.
When using the "space-saving"
type spare wheel, do not exceed
50 mph (80 km/h).
Have the tightening of the bolts and
the pressure of the spare wheel
checked by a PEUGEOT dealer
without delay.
Have the punctured wheel repaired
and replace it on the vehicle as
soon as possible.
Fitting the wheel
List of operations

 Put the wheel in place on the hub
using the centring guide 4 .

 Screw in the bolts by hand to the
stop.

 Pre-tighten the anti-theft bolt using
the wheelbrace 1 fi tted with the anti-
theft socket 5.

 Pre-tighten the other bolts using the
wheelbrace 1 only.

 Lower the vehicle fully.

 Fold the jack 2 and detach it.

 Lock the anti-theft bolt using the
wheelbrace 1 fi tted with the anti-
theft socket 5.

 Lock the other bolts using the wheel-
brace 1 only.

 Refi t the chromed bolt covers on
each of the bolts.

 Store the tools in the box.

CHANGING A BULB
Procedure for replacing a faulty bulb
with a new bulb without the use of
tools.
Front lights
Model with halogen lights

1. Direction indicators
(PY 21 W amber).

2. Dipped headlamps (H7-55 W).

3. Main beam headlamps (H1-55 W).

4. Daytime * /side lights (P21/5 W).

5. Fog lamps (H8-35 W).
1. Direction indicators

Model with xenon lights and
directional headlamps
In certain climatic conditions (low
temperature, humidity), the pres-
ence of condensation on the in-
side of the headlamp and light
glass is normal ; it disappears
a few minutes after the lights are
switched on.

 Handle the bulbs using a dry
cloth.
The headlamps are fi tted with poly-
carbonate lenses, coated with a
protective varnish:

 do not clean them with a dry
or abrasive cloth or using a
detergent or solvent prod-
uct,

 use a sponge and soapy water,

 when using a high pressure
washer on stubborn dirt, do not
spend too long on the head-
lamps, lights and their sur-
rounds to avoid damaging their
varnish and their seals.

Changing main beam headlamp
bulbs

 Remove the protective plastic cover
by pulling on the tab.

 Disconnect the bulb connector.

 Compress the springs to release the
bulb.

 Remove the bulb and change it
To refi t, carry out these operations in re-
verse order.
Changing daytime/side light bulbs

 Remove the protective plastic cover
by pulling on the tab.

 Disconnect the bulb connector.

 Turn the bulb holder a quarter of a
turn and extract it.

 Pull the bulb and change it.
To refi t, carry out these operations in re-
verse order.
Changing direction indicator bulbs
Amber or silver coloured bulbs,
such as the direction indicators,
must be replaced with bulbs of
identical specifi cations and colour.

 Turn the bulb holder a quarter of a
turn and extract it.

 Pull the bulb and change it.
To refi t, carry out these operations in re-
verse order.
When refi tting, close the plastic
cover carefully to guarantee the
sealing of the headlamp. Changing dipped headlamp bulbs

 Remove the protective plastic cover
by pulling on the tab.

 Disconnect the bulb connector.

 Compress the springs to release the
bulb.

 Extract the bulb and change it.
To refi t, carry out these operations in re-
verse order.

Changing integrated direction
indicator side repeaters

 Insert a screwdriver towards the
centre of the repeater between the
repeater and the base of the mirror.

 Tilt the screwdriver to extract the re-
peater and remove it.

 Disconnect the repeater connector.
To refi t, carry out these operations in re-
verse order.
Contact a PEUGEOT dealer to obtain
replacement repeaters. Changing fog lamp bulbs

 Turn the wheel fully towards the in-
side for easy access to the fl ap.

 Open the access fl ap, located in the
wheelarch.

 Disconnect the bulb holder connector.

 Turn the bulb holder a quarter of a
turn and extract it.

 Pull the bulb and change it.
To refi t, carry out these operations in re-
verse order.
To replace these bulbs you may
also consult a PEUGEOT dealer.

Rear lights

1. Brake/side lights (P21/5 W).

4. Direction indicators (P21 W). Changing bulbs
These fi ve bulbs are changed from out-
side the boot:

 remove the two light fi xing nuts,

 extract the light carefully from the
outside,

 disconnect the light connector,

 press the four tabs and remove the
bulb holder,

 turn the bulb a quarter of a turn and
change it.
To refi t, carry out these operations in re-
verse order.
If the vehicle is fi tted with the JBL
audio system, on the right-hand
side, fi rst remove the three fi xing
bolts, then move the box.
 on the right-hand side; remove the
access fl ap,

 on the left-hand side; turn the fi xing
bolt a quarter of a turn and remove
the storage box cover,

 unclip the storage box,

Changing third brake light bulbs
(4 bulbs W 5 W)

 Unclip the tailgate upper trim from
left to right.

 Unscrew the two light fi xing nuts A .

 Unclip the light's central pin.

 Extract the light from the outside.

 Disconnect the bulb holder connec-
tor and the wash-wipe pipe.

 Unclip the bulb holder from the light
by pressing on the two tabs B .

 Pull the bulb and change it.
To refi t, carry out these operations in re-
verse order.
Do not apply force to the light when
tightening the nuts. Changing the number plate light
bulbs (W 5 W)

 Insert a thin screwdriver into one of
the outer holes of the lens.

 Push it outwards to unclip.

 Remove the lens.

 Pull the bulb and change it.

These fi ve bulbs are changed from out-
side the boot:

 unclip the light connector,

 separate the fi ve tabs and remove
the bulb holder,

 turn the bulb a quarter of a turn and
change it.

 open the boot,

 unscrew the two light fi xing bolts,

 extract the light carefully pulling it
from the bottom and pivoting it to-
wards the outside,
To refi t, carry out these operations in re-
verse order.
Take care to engage the light in its guides
keeping it in line with the vehicle.

Changing the number plate light
bulbs (W 5 W)

 Insert a thin screwdriver into one of
the outer holes of the lens.

 Push it outwards to unclip.

 Remove the lens.

 Pull the bulb and change it. Changing the third brake light
(SW - 4 bulbs W 5 W)

 Remove the two light fi xing nuts A .

 Take out the light from the outside.

 Disconnect the connector and the
screenwash pipe from the light.

 Turn the bulb holder corresponding
to the faulty bulb a quarter of a turn.

 Pull the bulb and change it.
To refi t, carry out these operations in
reverse order.
Do not force the light when tightening
the nuts. Changing the third brake light
(SW - diodes)
On the versions with opening rear
screen, for the replacement of this type
of diode light, contact a PEUGEOT
dealer.

al equipment connected exceeds

Installing electrical accessories
Your vehicle's electrical system is
designed to operate with standard
or optional equipment.
Before installing other electrical equip-
ment or accessories on your vehicle,
contact a PEUGEOT dealer.
CHANGING A FUSE
Procedure for replacing a faulty fuse
with a new fuse to rectify a failure of the
corresponding function.
Access to the tools
The extraction pliers and the spare fus-
es are installed on the back of the fascia
fuse box cover.
To gain access to them:

 turn the screw a quarter of a turn to
the left,

 unclip the cover by pulling at the top
right,

 remove the cover completely,

 remove the pliers. Changing a fuse
Before changing a fuse, the cause of the
failure must be identifi ed and rectifi ed.

 Identify the faulty fuse by checking
the condition of its fi lament.

 Use the special pliers to extract the
fuse from its housing.

 Always replace the faulty fuse with a
fuse of the same rating.

 Check the correspondence between
the number etched on the box, the
rating etched on the fuse and the ta-
bles below.
