VENTILATION 1. Windscreen de-icing or demisting vents.

4. Air outlet to front footwells. Advice on operation 
Place the air flow control at a level sufficient to ensure a good renewal of air in the passenger compartment.
 For perfectly even air distribution, take care not to obs-truct the exterior air intake grilles and the vents. Checkthat the passenger compartment filter is in good condi-tion.

HEATING AIR CONDITIONING
1. Air intake
"Recirculated inside air" position.
This permits recirculation of the airinside the vehicle. Recirculation permits isolation of the passenger compartment from exter-nal odours and smoke. Used simultaneously with the air conditioning, recirculation permitsimprovement of the air conditioningperformance at cold settings. When the recirculation is used in ahumid climate, there is a risk of mis-ting of the windows.
"Outside air intake" position.
As soon as possible, place control 1
in this position to avoid possible mis-ting of the windows and deterioration
of the air quality. 2. Air flow adjustment
Turn the control from theOFF position to the MAX
position to obtain an air flow
sufficient to ensure your
comfort.
3. Temperature adjustment
To be adjusted to your requirements.

4. Air distribution adjustment
Windscreen and side win- dows (demisting-de-icing).
To quickly de-ice or demist the wind-screen and side windows: Ð set the temperature and air flow controls to maximum,
Ð close the centre vents,
Ð place the exterior air intake control 1 in the "Outside air intake" posi-
tion,
Ð switch on the air conditioning by pressing button 6.
Windscreen, side windows and footwells. Footwells. Footwells and central vents. Centre and side vents. Demisting the rear hinged door windows and the mirrors With the engine running, pressing the button once demists the rear hin-ged door windows and the mirrors.
This switches off automatically after a few minutes. It is possible to stop demisting by pressing the button. Pressing the button again resumes demisting. Important precaution Operate the air conditioning system for 5 to 10 minutes, once or twice amonth, to keep it in perfect working
order. If the system does not produce cold
air, do not use it and contact a
PEUGEOT dealer. Note:
to optimise the operation of
the air conditioning, leave the vents open. 5. Additional heating system rear air blower control
This is linked with the air flow adjustment 2.
6. Air conditioning control The air conditioning is designed to
operate in all seasons. In summer, itenables the temperature to be lowe-
red and in winter, above 0 ¡C, it
increases the effectiveness of thedemisting. Press the switch, the indi-cator light comes on.
The air conditioning does notoperate while the air flow adjust-ment control is in the minimumposition. Note: it is quite normal that the
condensation created by the air conditioning results in a flow ofwater under the vehicle when it is
stationary.

PROGRAMMABLE HEATING
(Webasto)* The programmable heating is provi-
ded to operate with the engine off. Itpermits heating of the passengercompartment, de-icing of the win-dows and pre-heating of the coolantcircuit to provide an optimum opera-ting temperature when the engine isswitched on.
* According to destination. Control panel/digital programmer The programmable heating system's control panel is located to the left ofthe instrument panel. 1.
Heating cycle indicator light.
2. Screen lighting.
3. Display of the number of the selected programme.
4. Time display button.
5. Time setting buttons.
6. Selection of the stored program-me.
7. Heating immediate start-up but-ton.
8. Time setting and display indicatorlight.
TIME DISPLAY Press button 4.
The time display indicator light 8
comes on and the time is displayed for approximately ten seconds. SETTING THE CLOCK Press button 4. The screen and the
setting indicator light 8come on.
Within ten seconds, press one of the buttons 5until the correct time is dis-
played:
Ð press button ">"to move the clock
on,
Ð press button "<"to move the clock
back.
Note: continuous pressing of buttons
">" or "<" scrolls through the digits
more quickly.

IMMEDIATE OPERATION Before switching on the programmable heating, on the vehicle's heating/ventilation control panel, check that:
Ð the temperature adjustment control is in the "Hot air" position,
Ð the air flow adjustment control is in position
2. Press button

The screen and the heating cycle indicator light 1come on and
remain on throughout the period ofoperation.
To switch the heating off, press button 7.
The screen and the heating cycleindicator light 1switch off.

PROGRAMMED OPERATION Note:
before setting the program-
mable heating, ensure that the clock
is set correctly. Operation of the heating can be pro- grammed between one minute and24 hours in advance. Note: you can store three different
start-up time settings and program- me one deferred start-up. Note: if you wish to switch on the
heating at a set time every day, you must reprogramme the stored time
each day.
Press button 6. The screen comes
on. The segments "A"or the previous
stored time and the preselection number "B"are displayed for ten
seconds. Note: to display the other preselec-
ted times, press button 6several
times within ten seconds until the required preselection number "B"
appears.
To set the start-up time, press one of the buttons 5within ten seconds. The programming is stored when:
Ð the start-up time and the preselec-
tion number "B" disappear,
Ð the screen lighting switches off.

Cancelling a programme
To clear a programmed start-up time, press button
6briefly.
The screen lighting switches off andthe preselection number "B" disap-
pears. Recalling a programme Press button 6several times until the
required preselection number "B"
appears. Note: after ten seconds, the time
disappears but remains programmed while the screen lighting and the pre-selection number "B" remain. SERVICING
At least once a year, before winter, have the programmable heating sys-
tem checked by a PEUGEOT dealer. Servicing and repairs should only be
carried out by a PEUGEOT dealer.
Use genuine replacement parts only.
The programmable hea- ting system is fitted with athermal safety devicewhich cuts off combustion
in the event of over-
heating due to a lack of coolant. Inthis case, top up the coolant andpress the programme selectionbutton before switching the hea-ting on again. In the case of a coolant leak,
contact a PEUGEOT dealer.
To avoid inhaling poisonous fumes and asphyxiation, the pro-grammable heating must not beused in an enclosed area, evenfor short periods (areas not fittedwith an exhaust gas extractionsystem). Always switch off the program- mable heating when filling withfuel to avoid any risk of fire orexplosion. The programmable heating sys- tem is supplied from the vehicle'sfuel tank. Before use, ensure thatthe quantity of fuel remaining issufficient.

FRONT SEATS Driver and passenger (single) seats Note: the two-seat passenger bench
seats cannot be adjusted.
1. Head restraint height adjustment
To raise or lower the head restraint press the lug sliding it atthe same time.
To remove the head restraint, place it in the top position, pressthe lug and pull it upwards.
To put it back in position, locate the stems of the restraint in theholes, taking care to keep themin line with the seat back.
2. Seat lumbar adjustment (driver's seat)
Turn the knob to obtain the cor- rect position.

The adjustment is correct when the upper edge of thehead restraint is level withthe top of the head.

3. Seat back angle adjustmentTurn the knob to obtain the cor- rect seat back angle.
4. Seat height adjustment (driver's seat) The height can be adjusted at the front and at the rear: Ð Front height adjustment: lift thelever at the front of the seat,
Ð Rear height adjustment: lift the lever at the rear of the seat.
5. Forwards-backwards adjustmentLift the control and slide the seat forwards or backwards.
6. Armrest (driver's seat) This can be folded down and isadjustable.
To adjust it, turn the knob under the end of the armrest. Heated seats The temperature is regulated auto- matically in relation to the passengercompartment temperature.
