symbolgoesoutafteraboutsevensecondsif
theAirbagsystem1isworkingcorrectly.Aswellasthewarning
symbol,amessageappearsin
theinformationdisplay.Ifthe
warningsymbolmalfunctions,
thewarningtrianglecomeson
andthemessageSRS

appearsinthedisplay.

switchinthisposition,personstallerthan
140cmcansitinthefrontpassengerseat,

SwitchforSRSinOFFposition.OFF=Airbag(SRS)isdeactivated.Withthe
switchinthisposition,childreninachildseat
oronaboostercushioncansitinthefront
passengerseat,butneverpersonstallerthan
140cm.
WARNING!
Donotallowanyonetositinthefrontpas-
sengerseatifthetextmessageintheroof
panelindicatesthattheairbag(SRS)is
deactivatedandtheairbagwarningsym-
bolisdisplayedinthecombinedinstru-

extinguishexceptthesymbols
forafaultinthecar’semissions
systemandforlowoilpressure.Certainsymbolsmayhaveno
function,dependingonthecar’sspecifica-
tions.

READbutton,ordisappearautomatically
after2minutes.

oneofthesystems.Thetext"ANTI-SKID
SERVICEREQUIRED"isshowninthe
display.
–Stopthecarinasafeplaceandswitchoff
theengine.Restarttheengine.
Ifthewarningsymbolgoesout,thefault
wastemporaryanditisnotnecessaryto
visitaworkshop.
Ifthewarningsymbolremainslit,driveto
anauthorisedVolvoworkshoptohavethe
systemchecked.
WARNING!
Undernormaldrivingconditions,the
DSTCsystemimprovesthecar’sroad
safety,butthisshouldnotbetakenasa
reasontoincreasespeed.Alwaysfollow
theusualprecautionsforsafecornering
anddrivingonslipperysurfaces.

isaccompaniedbyamessageinthedisplay.
Onceyouhavereadandunderstoodthe
message,presstheREADbutton(A).
Messageswhichhavebeenreadarecleared
fromthedisplayandstoredinthecar’s
memory.Faultmessageswillremaininthe
memoryuntilthefaulthasbeenremedied.
Veryseriousfaultmessagescannotbe
erasedfromthedisplay.Theyremaininthe
displayuntilthefaultisremedied.
Messagesstoredinthememorycanberead
again.PresstheREADbutton(A)tosee
storedmessages.Scrollthroughthemessagesstoredinthememorybypressing
theREADbutton.PresstheREADbuttonto
returnreadmessagestothememory.
Ifawarningmessageinterruptswhenyouare
inthetripcomputermenusorwishtousethe
telephone,youmustfirstacknowledgethe
