The lever returns to its startingposition whenever it is released.
If after signaling a turn or a lanechange the arrows flash rapidly ordo not come on, a signal bulb couldbe burned out. If equipped with LEDturn signals, see your dealer.
Replace any burned out bulbs. If abulb is not burned out, check thefuse. SeeFuses0390.
Turn Signal On Chime
If the turn signal is left on for morethan 1.2 km (0.75 mi), a chimesounds at each flash of the turnsignal. The message TURNSIGNAL ON will also appear in theDriver Information Center (DIC). Toturn the chime and message off,move the turn signal lever to the offposition.
Fog Lamps
If equipped, the control is on thecenter of the exterior lamp control,to the left of the steering column.
The ignition must be in the ON/RUNposition for the fog lamps tocome on.
#:Press to turn the fog lamps onor off. A light will come on in theinstrument cluster.
When the fog lamps are turned on,the parking lamps automaticallyturn on.
When the headlamps are changedto high beam, the fog lamps go off.When the high-beam headlamps areturned off, the fog lamps will comeon again.
Some localities have laws thatrequire the headlamps to be on withthe fog lamps.
Auxiliary
Roof-Mounted Lamp
If equipped, this button includeswiring provisions for a dealer or aqualified service center to install anauxiliary roof lamp.
This button is on the overheadconsole.
When the wiring is connected to anauxiliary roof-mounted lamp,pressing the bottom of the buttonwill activate the lamp and illuminatean indicator light at the bottom of

mirrors turn on if the shift lever is inthe R (Reverse), N (Neutral),or P (Park) position.
Dome Lamps
There are dome lamps in theoverhead console and the headliner,if equipped.
To c h a n g e t h e d o m e l a m p s e t t i n g s ,press the following:
OFF :Turns the lamps off, evenwhen a door is open.
DOOR :The lamps come onautomatically when a door isopened.
ON :Turns all dome lamps on.
Reading Lamps
There are reading lamps in theoverhead console and the headliner,if equipped. To operate, the ignitionmust be in the ACC/ACCESSORYor ON/RUN position, or usingRetained Accessory Power (RAP).
Pressmornnext to each reading
lamp to turn it on or off.

Lighting Features
Entry Lighting
Some exterior lamps and the interiorlamps turn on briefly at night, or in
areas with limited lighting, whenK
is pressed on the Remote KeylessEntry (RKE) transmitter. When adoor is opened, the interior lampscome on if the dome lamp control isin the DOOR position. After about30 seconds the exterior lamps turnoff. Entry lighting can be disabledmanually by changing the ignitionout of the OFF position, or by
pressing the RKE transmitterQ
button.
This feature can be changed. See“Ve h i c l e L o c a t o r L i g h t s”underVehicle Personalization0160.
Exit Lighting
Some exterior lamps and the interiorlamps come on at night, or in areaswith limited lighting when the key isremoved from the ignition. Theexterior and interior lamps remainon for a set amount of time and then
automatically turn off. The interiorlamps do not come on if the domelamp control is in the Off position.
The exterior lamps turn offimmediately by turning the exteriorlamps control off.
This feature can be changed. SeeVehicle Personalization0160.
Battery Load
Management
The vehicle has Electric PowerManagement (EPM), whichestimates the battery's temperatureand state of charge. It then adjuststhe voltage for best performanceand extended life of the battery.
When the battery's state of chargeis low, the voltage is raised slightlyto quickly bring the charge back up.When the state of charge is high,the voltage is lowered slightly toprevent overcharging. The voltmetergauge or the voltage display on theDriver Information Center (DIC),if equipped, may show the voltage
moving up or down. This is normal.If there is a problem, an alert will bedisplayed.
The battery can be discharged atidle if the electrical loads are veryhigh. This is true for all vehicles.This is because the generator(alternator) may not be spinning fastenough at idle to produce all thepower that is needed for very highelectrical loads.
Ahighelectricalloadoccurswhenseveral of the following are on, suchas: headlamps, high beams, foglamps, rear window defogger,climate control fan at high speed,heated seats, engine cooling fans,trailer loads, and loads plugged intoaccessory power outlets.
EPM works to prevent excessivedischarge of the battery. It does thisby balancing the generator's outputand the vehicle's electrical needs.It can increase engine idle speed togenerate more power, wheneverneeded. It can temporarily reducethe power demands of someaccessories.

Normally, these actions occur insteps or levels, without beingnoticeable. In rare cases at thehighest levels of corrective action,this action may be noticeable to thedriver. If so, a DIC message mightbe displayed and it is recommendedthat the driver reduce the electricalloads as much as possible. SeeBattery Voltage and ChargingMessages0150.
Battery Power Protection
This feature shuts off the dome andreading lamps, if they are left on formore than 10 minutes after theignition is turned off. The cargolamp shuts off after 20 minutes. Thisprevents the battery fromrunning down.

The infotainment system has built-infeatures intended to help avoiddistraction by disabling somefunctions when driving. Thesefunctions may gray out when theyare unavailable. Many infotainmentfeatures are also available throughthe instrument cluster and steeringwheel controls.
Before driving:
.Become familiar with theoperation, faceplate buttons, andscreen buttons.
.Set up the audio by presettingfavorite stations, setting thetone, and adjusting thespeakers.
.Set up phone numbers inadvance so they can be calledeasily by pressing a singlebutton or by using a single voicecommand if equipped withBluetooth phone capability.

Theft-Deterrent Feature
TheftLock®is designed todiscourage theft of the vehicle'sradio by learning a portion of theVehicle Identification Number (VIN).The radio does not operate if it isstolen or moved to a differentvehicle.

Connecting a USB Storage
Device or iPod/iPhone
To c o n n e c t a U S B s t o r a g e d e v i c e ,connect the device to the USB port.
To c o n n e c t a n i P o d / i P h o n e , c o n n e c tone end of the device’scabletotheiPod/iPhone and the other end tothe USB port.
The iPod/iPhone charges while it isconnected to the vehicle if thevehicle is in ACC/ACCESSORY orON/RUN. SeeIgnition Positions0268.Whenthevehicleisturnedoff, the iPod/iPhone automaticallypowers off and will not charge ordraw power from the vehicle'sbattery.

Audio System Information
The infotainment system can playthe music files contained in the USBstorage device or iPod/iPhoneproducts.
Using MP3/WMA/OGG/WAV Files
.Music files with .mp3, .wma,.ogg, and .wav file nameextensions can be played.
.MP3 files that can be played: Bitrate: 8 kbps to 320 kbps.Sampling frequency: 48 kHz,44.1 kHz, 32 kHz, 24 kHz,22.05 kHz, and 16 kHz.
.Files with a bit rate above128 kbps will result in higherquality sound.
.ID3 Tag information for MP3files, such as the album nameand the artist, can be played.
.To d i s p l a y a l b u m t i t l e , t r a c k t i t l e ,and artist information, the fileshould be compatible with theID3 Tag V1 and V2 formats.
Using USB Storage Devices andiPod/iPhone
.Use a USB or flash memory typestorage device. Do not connectusing a USB adaptor.
.Do not connect and reconnectthe USB device repeatedly in ashort time, as this may causestatic electricity and problemsusing the device.
.Use a USB device with a metalconnecting terminal.

.Connection with i-Stick TypeUSB storage devices may befaulty due to vehicle vibration.
.Do not touch the USBconnecting terminal.
.Only USB storage devicesformatted in FAT16/32 or exFATfile systems are recognized.NTFS and other file systems arenot recognized.
.The time it takes to process fileswill depend on the USB storagedevice type and capacity, andthe type of files stored.
.Some USB storage device filesmay not be compatible.
.Up to two USB devices and oneiPod can be played through aUSB hub. All devices may not besupported, depending on theperformance of the USB hub.If there is not enough powersupply, it may not operatenormally.
.Do not disconnect the USBstorage device while it is playing.This may cause damage to theproduct or affect theperformance of the USB device.
.Disconnect the USB storagedevice when the ignition isturned off. If the ignition is turnedon while the USB device isconnected, the USB device maybe damaged or may not operatenormally.
.USB storage devices can onlybe connected for playing music,viewing photo files,or upgrading.
.Do not use the USB terminal tocharge USB accessoryequipment. The heat generatedmay cause performance issuesor damage.
.Music files to which Digital RightManagement (DRM) is appliedcannot be played.
.USB storage device that are incapacity with a limit of 5,000files, such as music, photo,video, 15 stages of folder
structure. Normal usage cannotbe guaranteed for a storagedevice that exceeds this limit.The iPod/iPhone can play allmusic files that are supported.The music file lists will onlydisplay up to 5,000 files on thescreen. These files are sorted inalphabetical order.
.Some iPod/iPhone productmodels may not support theconnectivity or functionality ofthis product.
.Only connect the iPod/iPhonewith connection cablessupported by iPod/iPhoneproducts. Other connectioncables cannot be used.
.The iPod/iPhone may bedamaged if it is connected to thevehicle with the ignition on.When not in use, disconnect theiPod/iPhone.
.When the iPod/iPhone isconnected to the USB port byusing the iPod/iPhone cable, theBluetooth music is notsupported.

destination entry and voice keypad,can be completed in a singlecommand. If the task takes morethan one command to complete, thefirst command would be to indicatethe kind of task that is to beperformed. The system replies withprompts that lead through a dialogto enter the necessary information.
Voice recognition can be used whenthe ignition is on or when RetainedAccessory Power (RAP) is active.SeeRetained Accessory Power(RAP)0271.
Using Voice Recognition
Voice recognition becomes availableonce the system has beeninitialized. This begins when theignition is turned on. Initializationmay take a few moments.
1. Pressgon the steering wheel
control to activate voice
recognition, or selectgon the
infotainment screen on thecenter stack.
.If voice recognition isstarted from the steeringwheel control, the
instrument cluster displaysthe selections and visualdialog content.
.If voice recognition isstarted from theinfotainment screen, theselections and visual dialogcontent are displayed onboth the center stackdisplay and the instrumentcluster display.
2. The audio system mutes andthe system plays a promptfollowed by a beep.
3. Wait until after the beepcompletes, then clearly speakone of the commandsdescribed in this section.
Pressgto interrupt any voice
recognition system prompt. Forexample, if the prompt seemsto be taking too long to finish,
pressgagain and the beep
should happen right away.
There are two voice prompt modessupported:
.Long verbal prompts: The longerprompts provide moreinformation regarding thesupported actions.
.Short prompts: The shortprompts provide simpleinstructions about what can bestated.
If a command is not spoken, thevoice recognition system says ahelp prompt.
Prompts and Screen Displays
While a voice recognition session isactive, there will be correspondingbuttons on screens displayed.Manual interaction in the voicerecognition session is permitted.Interaction during a voice sessionmay be completed entirely usingvoice commands, or someselections may expedite a session.If a selection is made using amanual control, the dialog willprogress in the same way as if theselection was made through a voicecommand. Call Waiting
Call waiting must be supported onthe cell phone and enabled by thewireless service carrier.
.Pressgto answer an incoming
call when another call is active.The original call is placedon hold.
.Pressgagain to return to the
original call.
.To i g n o r e t h e i n c o m i n g c a l l , n oaction is required.
.Pressito disconnect the
current call and switch to the callon hold.
Three-Way Calling
Three-way calling must besupported on the cell phone andenabled by the wireless servicecarrier.
1. While on a call, pressg.
2. Say“Three-way call.”
3. Use the“Dial”or“Call”command to dial the number ofthe third party to be called.
4. Once the call is connected,
pressgto link all callers
together.
Ending a Call
Pressito end a call.
Transferring a Call
Audio can be transferred betweenthe Bluetooth system and the cellphone.
The cell phone must be paired andconnected with the Bluetoothsystem before a call can betransferred. The connection processcan take up to two minutes after theignition is turned to ON/RUN.
To Transfer Audio from theBluetooth System to a Cell Phone
During a call with the audio in thevehicle:
1. Pressg.
2. Say“Transfer Call.”
To Transfer Audio to the BluetoothSystem from a Cell Phone
During a call with the audio on the
cell phone, pressg.Theaudio
transfers to the vehicle. If the audiodoes not transfer to the vehicle, usethe audio transfer feature on the cellphone. See your cell phonemanufacturer's user guide for moreinformation.
Voice Pass-Thru
Voice pass-thru allows access to thevoice recognition commands on thecell phone. See your cell phonemanufacturer's user guide to see ifthe cell phone supports this feature.

Air Delivery Mode Controls :

the direction of the airflow. Anindicator light comes on in theselected mode button.
Y:Air is directed to the instrumentpanel outlets.
\:Air is divided between theinstrument panel and floor outlets.
[:Air is directed to the flooroutlets, with some air directed to thewindshield and side window outlets.
-:This mode clears the windowsof fog or moisture. Air is directed tothe windshield, floor outlets, andside window vents.
0:Press to clear the windshieldof fog or frost more quickly. Air isdirected to the windshield and theside window vents. The systemautomatically forces outside air intothe vehicle and the air conditioningcompressor will run, unless theoutside temperature is close tofreezing.
Do not drive the vehicle until all thewindows are clear.

@:Press to turn on recirculation.An indicator light comes on. Air isrecirculated to quickly cool theinside of the vehicle. It can also beused to help reduce outside air andodors that enter the vehicle.
8:If equipped, press to turn theoutside air mode on. An indicatorlight on the button comes on toshow that outside is on. Whenselected, air from outside thevehicle circulates throughout thevehicle. The recirculation modecannot be used with the outsideair mode.
f:If equipped, press to turn theheated mirrors on or off. SeeHeated Mirrors049.
A/C :Press to turn the airconditioning system on or off. Anindicator light comes on to showthat the air conditioning is enabled.If the fan is turned off, the airconditioner will not run. The A/Clight will stay on even if the outsidetemperatures are below freezing.
Rear Window Defogger
K:If equipped, press to turn therear window defogger on or off. Anindicator light on the button comeson to show that the rear windowdefogger is on.
The rear window defogger onlyworks when the ignition is in ON/RUN. The defogger turns off if theignition is turned to ACC/ACCESSORY or LOCK/OFF.
If equipped with heated outsidemirrors, they turn on when the rearwindow defogger button is on. Theyhelp to clear fog or frost from thesurface of the mirrors.
Caution
Using a razor blade or sharp
object to clear the inside rear
window can damage the rear
window defogger. Repairs would
not be covered by the vehicle
warranty. Do not clear the inside
rear window with sharp objects.
