MONOCHROME DISPLAY
This provides the following information:
- the time,
- t h e a u d i o e q u i p m e n t d i s p l a y s ( r e f e r t o the "Audio and Telematics" section).
Setting the time
The digital clock can be set in automatic
mode or in manual mode .
Selecting the Setting
Select the automatic mode or the
manual mode as follows:
Press button A "PWR" to switch on
the audio system.
Access the setting mode by pressing
button B "TUNE" for approximately
2 seconds.
Press button B "TUNE" several
times to scroll through the various
menus and select the CT menu
(clock time).
The order of the menus is the follow-
ing: AF/CT/REG/TP-S/PTY display
l a n g u a g e / S C V / P H O N E / F u n c t i o n s
setting mode OFF.
Automatic mode
This mode permits automatic setting of
the local time using the signal from the
RDS stations.
The symbol
"CT" appears on the display.
Manual mode
This mode permits manual setting of
t h e t i m e u s i n g t h e a u d i o e q u i p m e n t b u t -
tons.
It can also be used when the "Automat-
ic mode" displays an inaccurate time,
when the local RDS stations are broad-
casting from a different time zone.

Advice on operation
In hot weather, in order to obtain in-
tense ventilation, it is advisable to
use vents 1 and 4 o n l y .
I f , w h e n t h e v e h i c l e h a s b e e n p a r k e d
in the sun for a long time, the interior
t e m p e r a t u r e r e m a i n s v e r y h i g h , d o
n o t h e s i t a t e t o v e n t i l a t e t h e p a s s e n -
g e r c o m p a r t m e n t f o r a f e w m i n u t e s . Switch off the air conditioning
when the climatic conditions
p e r m i t .

Automatic operation
S e t t h e t e m p e r a t u r e c o n t r o l d i a l 3 to
t h e t e m p e r a t u r e r e q u i r e d .
P l a c e t h e a i r fl o w c o n t r o l d i a l 2 in
the "AUTO" p o s i t i o n .
Place the air distribution adjustment
dial 1 in the "AUTO" p o s i t i o n . When the engine is cold, to avoid an
excessive distribution of cold air, the
v e n t i l a t i o n w i l l r e a c h i t s o p t i m u m l e v e l
g r a d u a l l y .
On entering the vehicle, the interior
t e m p e r a t u r e m a y b e m u c h c o l d e r ( o r
w a r m e r ) t h a n t h e c o m f o r t t e m p e r a -
t u r e . T h e r e i s n o n e e d t o c h a n g e t h e
t e m p e r a t u r e d i s p l a y e d i n o r d e r t o
r e a c h t h e c o m f o r t r e q u i r e d r a p i d l y .
The automatic regulation of the air

FUEL TANK Opening the cap may trigger an air
intake noise. This vacuum, which is
completely normal, is caused by the
sealing of the fuel circuit.
T o fi l l t h e t a n k s a f e l y :
it is imperative that the engine is
switched off,
pull the control A located at the
bottom right of the driver’s seat to
r e l e a s e t h e f u e l fi l l e r fl a p ,
o p e n t h e f u e l fi l l e r fl a p B ,
turn the cap C to the left,
W h e n y o u h a v e fi l l e d t h e t a n k :
r e fi t t h e c a p , i n s e r t i n g t h e u p p e r p a r t

screw in the cap to the right,
c l o s e t h e fl a p .
E n s u r e t h a t t h e f u e l fi l l e r fl a p i s c l o s e d
correctly.
remove the cap C ,
fi l l t h e t a n k , b u t do not continue af-
ter the 3rd cut-off of the nozzle ;
this could cause malfunctions.
Low fuel level
Filling
A l a b e l , a f fi x e d o n t h e i n s i d e o f t h e fl a p ,
reminds you of the type of fuel to be
used in relation to your engine.
More than 5 litres of fuel must be
added in order to be registered by the
fuel gauge. When the tank minimum lev-
el is reached, this indication
appears on the instrument
p a n e l d i s p l a y . W h e n i t fi r s t
comes on, approximately
10 litres of fuel remain.
The symbol fl a s h e s s l o w l y (approxi-
mately once per second).
When the symbol begins to
fl a s h r a p i d l y (approximately
twice per second), there is not
much fuel remaining in your tank
(approximately 5 litres).
I t i s e s s e n t i a l t o fi l l t h e t a n k t o a v o i d
running out of fuel.
This symbol indicates that the
fuel tank cap is located on the
left-hand side of the vehicle.

TO CHILD SEATS
Intermediate longitudinal position
CITROËN recommends that chil-
dren should travel in the rear seats
o f y o u r v e h i c l e :
- "rearwards-facing" up to the
age of 2,
- "forwards-facing" over the age
o f 2 . When a "rearwards-facing" child
seat is installed on the
front
passenger seat , it is essential
that the passenger airbag is deacti-
v a t e d . O t h e r w i s e , the child would
risk being seriously injured or
k i l l e d i f t h e a i r b a g w e r e t o i n fl a t e .
INSTALLING A CHILD SEAT USING A THREE POINT SEAT BELT
When a "forwards-facing" child seat is
installed on the front passenger seat ,
adjust the vehicle's seat to the interme-
diate longitudinal position with the seat
back upright and leave the passenger
a i r b a g a c t i v a t e d .

vehicle seat back and cushion, indi-

referred to as the TOP TETHER , in-

Some also have an upper strap which
is attached to the ring B .
To attach this strap, remove the vehi-
c l e s e a t ' s h e a d r e s t r a i n t . T h e n fi x t h e
hook on the ring B and tighten the up-
p e r s t r a p .

Gear lever positions
N: neutral.
With your foot on the brake, select this
position to start.
R: reverse gear.
With the vehicle stationary, keep your
foot on the brake pedal and push the
gear lever upwards.
D: automated mode.
Move the lever downwards to select
this mode.
+/-: sequential mode with manual gear
changing.
Functions of the steering wheel controls
+: manual gear changing in sequential
mode.
Press behind the "+" steering wheel
control to change up.
-: manual gear changing in sequential
mode.
Press behind the "-" steering wheel
control to change down.

"CVT" GEARBOX
The six-speed automatic gearbox of-
fers a choice between the comfort of
automatic regulation or the pleasure of
manual gear changing.
This gearbox enables you to access
two driving modes:
- an automated mode for automatic
control of the gears by the gearbox
and therefore without any action on
the part of the driver,
- a sequential mode for manual changing of the gears by the driver
using the steering wheel controls or
the gear lever.
It consists of the following controls:
- a gear lever 1 on the centre console
for selecting the driving mode, reverse
gear and neutral or for changing gear
in sequential mode,

"DCS" GEARBOX
The six-speed robotised gearbox of-
fers a choice between the comfort of
automatic regulation or the pleasure of
manual gear changing.
This gearbox enables you to access
three driving modes:
- a manual mode for changing of the
gears by the driver using the steer-
ing wheel controls or the gear lever,
- a " Normal " automatic mode for
economical control of the gears
(everyday use),
- a " Sport " automatic mode which
permits a more dynamic style of
driving, with improved acceleration
and optimised engine braking. When you move the lever in the gate
to select a position, the corresponding
indicator light or message is displayed
on the instrument panel.

D. Drive (Automatic mode).
NORMAL. Normal mode.
SPORT. Sport mode.
