General points relating to child seats
For maximum safety, please observe the following r ecommendations:

n   accordance   with   European   regulations,

ll children under the age of 12 or less
than one and a half metres tall must
travel in approved child seats suited to
their weight ,
  on   seats   fitted   with   a   seat

elt   or   ISOFIX   mountings*,

tatistically, the safest seats in your
vehicle for carr ying children are the
rear seats,

hild weighing less than 9 kg must
travel in the rear ward facing position
both in the front and in the rear. CITROËN recommends

Rearward facing
When a rear ward facing child seat is installed on a rear passenger seat ,
  move   the   vehicle's

ront   seat   for wards   and   straighten   the   backrest

o   that   the   rear ward   facing   child   seat   does   not

ouch   the   vehicle's   front   seat.
Forward facing
When a for ward facing child seat is installed on a rear passenger seat ,

ront   seat   for wards   and   straighten   the   backrest

o   that   the   legs   of   the   child   in   the   for ward

acing   child   seat   do   not   touch   the   vehicle's

ront seat.
Ensure
  that   the   seat   belt   is   correctly

ightened.   For   child   seats   with   a   support

eg,   ensure   that   the   support   leg   is   in

table   contact   with   the   floor.

The TOP TETHER is used to secure the upper s

This
  ISOFIX   mounting   system   ensures   fast,

eliable   and   safe   fitting   of   the   child   seat   in   your

ehicle.
The ISOFIX child seats
  are   fitted   with

wo latches   which   are   secured   easily   on   the

wo   rings   A.
Some
  also   have   an   upper strap   (or   top   tether)

hich   is   attached   to   ring   B. When
  installing   an   ISOFIX   child   seat   on   the

ight   hand   rear   seat,   before   securing   the   seat,  
f

irst   move   the   centre   rear   seat   belt   towards   the  
m

iddle   of   the   vehicle,   so   as   to   not   inter fere   with  
t

he   operation   of   the   seat   belt.
The   incorrect   installation   of   a   child   seat  i
n   a   vehicle   compromises   the   child's  
p

rotection   in   the   event   of   an   accident.
