SUN VISOR
Component which protects against sun-
light from the front or the side.
Version without Zenith windscreen
ILLUMINATED GLOVE BOX
This can be used to hold a water bottle.
Its lid has a location for storing the vehicle's
handbook pack.
To open the glove box, raise the
handle.
It is lit when the lid is opened.
It houses the front passenger airbag de-
activation switch A .
I f t h e v e h i c l e i s fi t t e d w i t h a i r c o n d i t i o n -
ing, it provides access to the ventilation
nozzle B , distributing the same condi-
tioned air as the vents in the passenger
compartment.
CENTRE ARMREST
Comfort and storage system for the
driver and front passenger.
Storage
For access to the closed storage
box, lift the lever to open the lid.
For access to the open storage box
below the armrest, lift the complete
armrest towards the rear.
These can be used for portable devices
(mobile phone, MP3 player...) which
can be connected to the USB port/Jack
socket or charged from the12 V socket
in the centre console.
Version with Zenith windscreen

This connection box, consisting of a
JACK socket and a USB port, is located
on the centre console.
It permits the connection of portable
equipment, such as a digital audio player
of the iPod ®
or USB stick type.

wma, wav...) which are transmitted to
your audio equipment and played via the
vehicle's speakers.
Y o u c a n m a n a g e t h e s e fi l e s u s i n g t h e
steering wheel controls or the audio

them on the multifunction screen.
When it is in use, the portable
equipment charges automatically.

To connect a 12 V accessory (max
power: 120 Watts), remove the cover
and connect a suitable adaptor.

STORAGE DRAWER
The storage drawer is located under the
front passenger's seat.
Opening
Raise the front of the drawer and
pull it.
Removal
Bring the drawer to the end of its
travel.
Press the ends of the slides.
Raise the drawer and pull it fully.
Refitting
Engage the drawer in its slides.
At the end of its travel, press on the
top of the drawer to secure it.
Do not place heavy objects in
the drawer.
MATS
Removable component which protects
the carpet against exterior dirt.
Fitting
W h e n fi t t i n g t h e m a t f o r t h e fi r s t t i m e ,
o n t h e d r i v e r ' s s i d e , u s e o n l y t h e fi x i n g s
provided in the wallet attached.
The other mats are simply placed on
the carpet.
Removal
To remove the mat on the driver's side:
move the seat as far back as pos-
sible,
u n c l i p t h e fi x i n g s ,
remove the mat. Refitting
T o r e fi t t h e m a t o n t h e d r i v e r ' s s i d e :
position the mat correctly,
r e fi t t h e fi x i n g s b y p r e s s i n g ,
check that the mat is secured correctly.
To avoid any risk of jamming of
the pedals:
- only use mats which are s u i t e d t o t h e fi x i n g s a l r e a d y
present in the vehicle; it is
imperative that these are
used,
- n e v e r fi t o n e m a t o n t o p o f another.

Rear shelf
To remove the shelf:
unhook the two cords,
raise the shelf slightly, then unclip it
on each side. Hooks
The hooks permit the securing of
shopping bags.
Luggage retaining net
Hooked onto the stowing rings, this en-
ables you to secure your luggage to the
bottom of the boot. Storage box
Raise the boot carpet to gain access
to the storage box.
This has areas for storing a temporary
puncture repair kit, a box of spare bulbs,
a fi r s t a i d k i t , t w o w a r n i n g t r i a n g l e s , . . .

CHILD SAFETY
CITROËN recommends that
children should travel in the rear
seats of your vehicle:
- "rearwards-facing" up to the
age of 2,
- "forwards-facing" over the
age of 2. * The rules for transporting children are
s p e c i fi c t o e a c h c o u n t r y . R e f e r t o t h e
current legislation in your country.
GENERAL POINTS RELATING
TO CHILD SEATS
A l t h o u g h o n e o f C I T R O Ë N ' s m a i n c r i -
teria when designing your vehicle, the
safety of your children also depends on
you.
F o r m a x i m u m s a f e t y , p l e a s e f o l l o w
these precautions:
- in accordance with European reg- ulations, all children under the
age of 12 or less than one and a
half metres tall must travel in ap-
proved child seats suited to their
weight , o n s e a t s fi t t e d w i t h a s e a t
b e l t o r I S O F I X m o u n t i n g s * ,
- statistically, the safest seats in
your vehicle for the transportation
of children are the rear seats,
- a child weighing less than 9 kg
must travel in the "rearwards-fac-
ing" position both in the front and
in the rear. INSTALLING A CHILD SEAT
USING A THREE POINT SEAT
BELT
"Rearwards-facing"
When a "rearwards-facing" child seat is
installed on the
front passenger seat ,
it is essential that the passenger airbag
i s d e a c t i v a t e d . O t h e r w i s e , the child
would risk being seriously injured or
k i l l e d i f t h e a i r b a g w e r e t o i n fl a t e . "Forwards-facing"
When a "forwards-facing" child seat is
installed on the
front passenger seat ,
a d j u s t t h e v e h i c l e ' s s e a t t o t h e i n t e r m e -
diate longitudinal position with the seat
back upright and leave the passenger
airbag activated.
