DOORS
After unlocking the vehicle using the
remote control or the key, pull the
door handle. From inside
Pull on the front door control to open
the door; this unlocks the vehicle
completely.
Pull on the rear door control to open
the door; this unlocks the door con-
cerned only. Closing
When a door is not closed correctly:
- when the engine is run-
ning , this warning lamp
comes on, accompanied
by a message on the mul-
tifunction screen for a few
seconds,
- when the vehicle is moving (speed
higher than 6 mph (10 km/h)), this
warning lamp comes on, accompa-
nied by an audible signal and a mes-
sage on the multifunction screen for
a few seconds.

ACCESS If the vehicle is locked from the out-
s i d e , t h e r e d i n d i c a t o r l a m p fl a s h e s
and button A is inactive.
In this case, use the remote
control or the key to unlock the
vehicle.
If one of the doors is open, the auto-
matic central locking does not take
place.
If the boot is open, the automatic
central locking of the doors is active.
Manual centralised control
System which provides full manual
locking or unlocking of the doors from
the inside.
Locking
Press button A to lock the vehicle.
The red indicator lamp on the button
comes on. Automatic centralised control
System which provides full automatic
locking or unlocking of the doors and
the boot while driving.
You can activate or deactivate this
function. Activation
Press button A for more than
two seconds.

Unlocking
Above 6 mph (10 km/h), press but-
ton A to unlock the doors and the
boot temporarily.
If one of the doors is open, central
locking from the inside does not
take place.

Press button A again to unlock the
vehicle.

When the speed exceeds 6 mph
(10 km/h), the doors and the boot lock
automatically.
Deactivation
Press button A again for more than
two seconds.

Emergency control
System which locks or unlocks the
doors mechanically in the event of a
malfunction of the battery or of the cen-
tral locking.
Insert the key in the lock, located on
the edge of the door, then turn it one
eighth of a turn . Opening

handle and raise the tailgate.
BOOT
- when the engine is running ,
this warning lamp comes on,

of the lock to unlock the tailgate.

Insert the key in the lock, then turn it
to the right.

PANORAMIC SUNROOF
System which consists of an area of
panoramic tinted glass to increase the
light and visibility in the passenger com-
p a r t m e n t . I t i s fi t t e d w i t h 2 i n d e p e n d e n t
manual blinds to help maintain a com-
fortable temperature. Closing
Rear blind
Pull the blind forwards until it
locks in.
Front blind
Pull the blind rearwards until it
locks in.
Opening
Raise the blind's handle and release.

Additions of fuel must be of at least
5 litres, in order to be taken into
account by the fuel gauge.
The key cannot be removed from
t h e l o c k u n t i l t h e c a p i s r e fi t t e d .
O p e n i n g t h e fi l l e r c a p m a y c r e a t e a
noise a caused by an inrush of air.
This vacuum is entirely normal, re-
sulting from the sealing of the fuel
system.
FUEL TANK
Fuel tank capacity: approximately
50 litres (petrol) or 48 litres (Diesel).
Low fuel level Filling
A l a b e l a f fi x e d t o t h e i n s i d e o f t h e fl a p
reminds you of the type of fuel to be
used depending on your engine.
When the fuel tank minimum
level is reached this warning
lamp comes on on the instru-
m e n t p a n e l . W h e n i t fi r s t c o m e s
on there remains approximately
5 litres of fuel in the tank.
You must refuel as soon as possible to
avoid running out of fuel.
If you run out of fuel (Diesel), refer also
to the "Checks" section. T o fi l l t h e t a n k i n c o m p l e t e s a f e t y :
the engine must be switched off,
o p e n t h e f u e l fi l l e r fl a p ,
insert the key in the cap, then turn it
to the left,
remove the cap and hook it onto
the clip located on the inside of the
fl a p ,
fi l l t h e t a n k , but do not continue
after the 3rd cut-off of the pump ;
this could cause malfunctions.
W h e n y o u h a v e fi l l e d t h e t a n k :
put the cap back in place,
turn the key to the right, then remove
it from the cap,
c l o s e t h e fl a p .

Quality of the fuel used
for petrol engines
The petrol engines are perfectly com-
patible with E10 type petrol biofuels
(containing 10 % ethanol), conforming
to European standards EN 228 and
EN 15376.
E85 type fuels (containing up to 85 %
ethanol) are reserved exclusively for ve-
hicles marketed for the use of this type
of fuel (BioFlex vehicles). The quality of
the ethanol must comply with European
standard EN 15293.
For Brazil only, special vehicles are
marketed to run on fuels containing up
to 100 % ethanol (E100 type). Quality of the fuel used for
Diesel engines
The Diesel engines are perfectly com-
patible with biofuels which conform to
current and future European standards
(Diesel fuel which complies with stan-
dard EN 590 mixed with a biofuel which
complies with standard EN 14214)
available at the pumps (containing up
to 7 % Fatty Acid Methyl Ester).
The B30 biofuel can be used in cer-
tain Diesel engines; however, this use
is subject to strict application of the
special servicing conditions. Consult a
CITROËN dealer.
The use of any other type of (bio) fuel
(vegetable or animal oils, pure or dilut-
ed, domestic fuel...) is strictly prohibited
(risk of damage to the engine and fuel
system).
MISFUEL PREVENTION
M e c h a n i c a l d e v i c e w h i c h p r e v e n t s fi l l i n g
the tank of a Diesel vehicle with petrol. It
avoids the risk of engine damage that can
r e s u l t f r o m fi l l i n g w i t h t h e w r o n g f u e l .

Operation

VISIBILITY
LIGHTING CONTROLS
System for selection and control of the
various front and rear lamps providing
the vehicle's lighting.
Main lighting
The various front and rear lamps of the
vehicle are designed to adapt the driver's
visibility progressively according to cli-
matic conditions:
- sidelamps, to be seen,
- dipped beam headlamps to see without dazzling other drivers,
- main beam headlamps to see clearly when the road is clear.
Additional lighting
O t h e r l a m p s a r e i n s t a l l e d t o f u l fi l t h e
requirements of particular conditions of
visibility:
- a rear foglamp to be seen from afar,
- front foglamps for even better for- ward vision.
Programming
Various automatic lighting control
modes are also available according to
the following options:
- guide-me-home lighting,
- automatic illumination of headlamps. Model without AUTO lighting

Manual controls
The lighting commands are issued di-
rectly by the driver by means of the
ring
A and the stalk B .
A. Main lighting mode selection ring,
with:
lamps off,
sidelamps only,
B. Stalk for switching headlamps by
pulling: dipped headlamps/main
beam headlamps.
In the lamps off and sidelamps modes,
the driver can switch on the main beam
headlamps temporarily ("headlamp
fl a s h " ) b y m a i n t a i n i n g a p u l l o n t h e
stalk. dipped headlamps or main
beam headlamps.
Displays
Lighting of the corresponding indicator

VISIBILITY
Model with rear foglamp only rear foglamp
To switch on the foglamp, turn the
ring C forwards.
When the lighting is switched off au-
t o m a t i c a l l y ( w i t h A U T O m o d e l ) , t h e f o -
glamp and the dipped headlamps will
remain on.
To switch off all of the lighting, turn
the ring C rearwards. In good or rainy weather, by both day
and night, the front foglamps and the
rear foglamp are prohibited. In these
situations, the power of their beams
may dazzle other drivers.
Do not forget to switch off the front
foglamps and the rear foglamp when
they are no longer necessary.
Lighting on buzzer
When the ignition is switched off,
all of the lamps switch off automati-
cally, unless "guide-me-home lighting"
is activated.
If the lighting is switched on manu-
ally after switching off the ignition,
there is an audible signal when a
front door is opened to warn the
driver that they have forgotten to
switch off the vehicle's lighting, with
the ignition off.

C. fog lamps selection ring.
The fog lamps operate with the dipped
and main beam headlamps. When the lighting is switched off auto-
m a t i c a l l y ( w i t h A U T O m o d e l ) o r w h e n
the dipped headlamps are switched off
manually, the foglamps and sidelamps
will remain on.
Turn the ring rearwards to switch
off the foglamps, the sidelamps will
then switch off.
