This is a removable lamp, fitted in the side of the  boot,  which  can  be  used  to  illuminate  the Â
b
oot  or  as  a  torch.
Operation
This torch operates with ni MH type
rechargeable b atteries.
It
 has  a  battery  life  of  approximately  45  minutes Â
a
nd  charges  while  you  are  driving.
Use
F Extract the  torch  from  its  location  by  pulling  i
t  from  the  front.

ress  the  switch,  located  on  the  back,  to Â

witch  the  torch  on  or  off.

nfold  the  support,  located  on  the  back,  to Â
s
et  down  and  raise  the  torch;  for  example, Â
w
hen  changing  a  wheel.
Storing
F Put the  torch  back  in  place  in  its  location  s
tarting  with  the  rear.

f  you  have  forgotten  to  switch  off  the  torch, Â

his  switches  it  off  automatically.

 the  torch  is  not  engaged  correctly, Â

In an emergency, press this button for more than 2
 seconds.  Flashing  of  the  green  LED  and  a  voice Â
message
 confirm  that  the  call  has  been  made  to  the Â
"
C ITR o Ë n  Localised  Emergency  Call"  service*.
Pressing

button  again  immediately  cancels  the  request. Â
The

CITROËN Localised Assistance Call
When the ignition is switched on, the green LED  comes  on  for  3  seconds  indicating that
 the  system  is  operating  correctly.
If
 the  orange  LED  flashes:  there  is  a
 system
 fault.
If
 the  orange  LED  is  on  continuously:  the
 backup
 battery  must  be  replaced.
In
 either  case,  contact  a  CITROËN  dealer.

Operation of the systemThe green LED remains on (without flashing) when communication is established.
 It  goes  off  at  the  end  of  communication.
This
 call  is  dealt  with  by  the  "C
ITR o Ë n  Localised  Emergency  Call" Â
centre
 which  receives  locating  information  from  the  vehicle  and  can Â
send
 a  detailed  alert  to  the  appropriate  emergency  services.  In  countries Â
in
 which  the  team  is  not  operational,  or  when  the  locating  service  has Â
been
 expressly  declined,  the  call  is  dealt  with  directly  by  the  emergency Â
services
 (112)  without  the  vehicle  location.
If
 an  impact  is  detected  by  the  airbag  control  unit,  and Â
independently
 of  the  deployment  of  any  airbags,  an  emergency  call Â
is
 made  automatically.
