Tank capacity: approximately 71 litres.
The boot automatically locks when the
vehicle is moving at a speed of over
6 mph (10 km/h), even if automatic cen-
tral locking is deactivated. It is unlocked
when a door is opened or when the cen-
tral locking button is pressed (speed
lower than 6 mph (10 km/h)).

DRIVING SAFELY
Stop & Start
Going into engine STOP mode
The "ECO"
warning lamp comes
on in the instrument panel and
the engine goes into standby:
- with the 6-speed electronic gear-
box system
; at speeds below 4 mph
(6 km/h), press the brake pedal or
put the gear lever into position N
.
Going into engine START mode
You can deactivate the system at any
time by pressing the "ECO OFF"
button;
the button's warning lamp comes on.
The system is reactivated automati-
cally every time you start the engine
with the key.
Before refuelling or doing anything
under the bonnet, you must switch off
the ignition with the key. The "ECO"
warning lamp goes
off and the engine restarts:
- with the gear lever in position A
or
M
, release the brake pedal,
- or with the gear lever in position N
and the brake pedal released, move
to position A
or M
,
- or engage reverse.
In certain circumstances, the STOP
mode may not be available; the "ECO"
warning lamp fl ashes for a few sec-
onds, then goes off.
In certain circumstances, START mode
may be invoked automatically; the
"ECO"
warning lamp fl ashes for a few
seconds, then goes off.

You can activate/deactivate the parking
sensors by pressing button B
. When
the parking sensors are inactive, the
warning lamp in button B
comes on.
Parking sensors
(visual and audible)
Parking space sensor
You can select the "Parking space sen-
sor" by pressing button A
, with the direc-
tion indicator activated on the side of the
space to be measured, a speed lower
than 12 mph (20 km/h) and at a distance
of less than 1.5 metres from the space.
The fi xed illumination of the warning
lamp indicates that the function is se-
lected.

Use of this system is recommended on
motorways and dual carriageways, and
operates only at speeds above 50 mph
(80 km/h).
Pressing button C
activates the system,
the warning lamp in the button comes on.
Lane departure warning system
The system does not alert you if one
of your direction indicators is operating
and for approximately 20 seconds after
the direction indicator has stopped.

Dynamic
stability
control
(ESP/ASR)
fl ashing. The ESP/ASR regulation is
active. The system optimises traction and
improves the directional stability of the
vehicle.
fi xed, accompanied
by an audible signal
and a message
in the instrument
panel screen.
Unless it has been
deactivated with the indicator
lamp in the button on, the
ESP/ASR system has a fault. Have it checked by a CITROËN dealer or
a qualifi ed workshop.
Engine
autodiagnosis
system
fi xed. The emission control system
has a fault. The warning lamp should go off when the
engine is started.
If it does not go off, contact a CITROËN
dealer or qualifi ed workshop without delay.
fl ashing. The engine management
system has a fault. Risk of destruction of the catalytic converter.
Have it checked by a CITROËN dealer or
a qualifi ed workshop.

The parking brake can be released
manually using the emergency release
procedure.

Warning lamp

Diesel engine
pre-heating
fi xed. The ignition switch is at the
2nd position (ignition on).
Wait until the warning lamp has switched
off before starting.
The duration for which the warning lamp is
on is determined by the climatic conditions.
Parking
brake
fi xed. The parking brake is applied or not
properly released. Release the parking brake to switch
off the warning lamp, keeping your
foot on the brake pedal.
Observe the safety
recommendations.
For further information on the
parking brake, refer to the "Driving"
section.
fl ashing. The parking brake is not fully
applied or is released.
Passenger's
airbag
system
fi xed. The control switch, located in the
glove box, is in the " ON
" position.
The passenger's front airbag is
activated.
In this case, do not install a rear-
facing child seat. Turn the control switch to the " OFF
"
position to deactivate the front
passenger's airbag.
In this case you can install a rear-facing
child seat.
Stop & Start
fi xed. When the vehicle stops (red lights,
traffi c jams, ...) the Stop & Start
system has put the engine into
STOP mode. The warning lamp goes off and the
engine restarts automatically in
START mode, as soon as you want
to move off.
fl ashes for a few
seconds, then
goes off. STOP mode is temporarily
unavailable.

START mode is invoked
automatically. Refer to "Driving - § Stop & Start"
for special cases with STOP mode
and START mode.

Deactivation indicator lamps
If one of the following indicator lamps comes on, this confi rms that the corresponding system has been switched off intentionally.
This is may be accompanied by an audible signal and a message on the multifunction screen.

In this case you can install a

rear-facing position.
ESP/ASR
fi xed. The button, located in the
middle of the dashboard, is
pressed. Its indicator lamp
is on.
The ESP/ASR is deactivated.
ESP: electronic stability
programme.
ASR: anti-skid regulation. Press the button to activate the ESP/ASR.
Its indicator lamp switches off.
The ESP/ASR system is activated
automatically when the vehicle is started.
If deactivated, the system is reactivated
automatically from approximately 30 mph
(50 km/h).

It lists the active alerts by displaying

Select language
This menu allows you to select the
language used by the screen display:
(Français, English, Italien, Portugais,
Espagnol, Allemand, Néerlandais,
Turc, Polonais, Russe).
Display confi guration
This menu allows you to choose a
colour scheme for the screen, adjust
the brightness, set the date and time
and choose the units for distance
(km or miles), fuel consumption
(l/100 km, mpg or km/l) and tempe-
rature (°Celsius or °Fahrenheit).
Speech synthesis setting
This menu allows you to set the volume
for navigation instructions and to chooses
the type of voice (male or female).
When setting the time, you can
choose to "Synchronise minutes
with GPS"
, so that the minutes
are set automatically by satellite
reception.

COMFORT
Control via the manual controls
It is possible to adjust one or more
functions manually, while leaving the
other functions in automatic mode.

Press one of the controls, with
the exception of that which regu-
lates the temperature 2

in discomfort (temperature, humidity,
odour, condensation) and may not
provide optimum comfort.
To return to automatic mode, press
the "AUTO"

3. Air distribution adjustment

4. Air conditioning
The air conditioning will only oper-
ate when the engine is running. The
air blower control (air fl ow adjust-
ment) must be active to obtain air
conditioning.

In certain cases, the

to clear the win-
dows quickly. The indicator lamp
comes on. The "OFF"
symbol is displayed in
the multifunction screen.
This action switches off the screen
and the indicator lamps.
It deactivates all of the system's
functions, with the exception of the
rear screen demisting.
The temperature-related comfort is
no longer controlled (temperature,
humidity, odour, condensation).
Avoid driving for too long with the air
conditioning off. In order to be effective, the air condi-
tioning must be used with the windows
closed.
Deactivating the air conditioning may
result in discomfort (temperature,
humidity, odour, condensation).
The indicator lamps corresponding
to the distribution chosen come on:
- Windscreen and front side win-
dows.
- Front ventilation (central and
side vents and air diffusion grille
if open) and rear ventilation.
- Front and rear footwells.
Simultaneous display of the distribu-
tion of air to the windscreen and side
windows and of front and rear ventila-
tion is not possible. The air fl ow level is indicated by the
progressive illumination of the bars
in the control panel screen 9
.
To prevent condensation and dete-
rioration of the quality of the air in
the passenger compartment, ensure
that an adequate fl ow of air is main-
tained.
