Battery Procedure for charging your battery when it is flat or for star ting the engine using another battery.
The battery is located under the bonnet. To gain access to it: open the bonnet using the interior release lever, then the exterior safety catch, secure the bonnet stay,
remove the plastic cover by pulling on its grip for access to the two terminals, unclip the fusebox to remove the battery, if necessary.
Access to the battery
Connect the red cable to the positive terminal (+) of the flat battery A , then to the positive terminal (+) of the slave battery B .
Starting using another
battery
After refitting the battery, the Stop & Start system will only be active after a continuous period of immobilisation of the vehicle, a period which depends on the climatic conditions and the state of charge of the battery (up to about 8 hours).
The presence of this label, in par ticular with the Stop & Star t system, indicates the use of a 12 V lead-acid battery with special technology and specification, for which the involvement of a CITROËN dealer is required when replacing or disconnecting the battery. Failure to obser ve this recommendation may cause premature wear of
the battery.

Pressing this button again immediately cancels the request. The green indicator lamp goes off.
T h e g r e e n i n d i c a t o r l a m p r e m a i n s o n ( w i t h o u t fl a s h i n g ) w h e n communication is established. It goes off at the end of commun ication.
This call is dealt with by the CITROËN Emergency team which re ceives locating information from the vehicle and can send a detailed alert to the appropriate emergency services. In countries in which the team is no t operational, or when the locating service has been expressly refused, t h e c a l l i s d e a l t w i t h d i r e c t l y b y t h e e m e r g e n c y s e r v i c e s ( 1 1 2 ) w i t h o u t t h e vehicle location.
If an impact is detected by the airbag ECU, and independently of any triggering of the airbags, an emergency call is made automatically.

When the ignition is switched on, the green indicator lamp comes on for 3 seconds indicating that the system is operating correctly.

If the orange indicator lamp is on c o n t i n u o u s l y : t h e b a c k u p b a t t e r y m u s t b e replaced.
In both cases, consult a CITROËN dealer.

9Practical information
Towing a trailer...
Your vehicle cannot be fitted with a towbar. The space occupied by the spor t diffuser prevents this.
Tyres
Driving in winter conditions
The 215/40 R18 89W tyres fitted as standard are not suitable for sever winter conditions.
CITROËN recommends that you use suitable winter tyres during periods of very cold weather.
If you want to fit snow chains or anti-slip covers to your vehicle, contact a CITROËN dealer for advice on the models recommended for your vehicle.
