The following are taken apart:
- air-filter;
- accelera tion cable;
- injection ramp ( see Chapter Injec-

The electric connectors are uncoupled: - atmospheri c pressure sensor;
- air tempera ture sensor;
- step-by-step engine;
- clapper potentiometer.
The fuel supply conduits are taken apart (bot h going- and return);
The clapper c ommand lever is uncoupled and the body of the clapper is taken off;
The screws and screw-nuts fixing the intake collector a re taken apart .
RE-MOUNT ING
The fittings of the intake collector are re placed;
The same steps are taken as in the case of the dismantling, only in the reverse order.

PUMP SUPPLY
AIM:
To avoid accidental fire s owing to fuel leaks, which can be caused by an accident.
F
UNCT IO NING:
The shock-sensor lies in the engine compartment: it is mounted on the left-side shock-
absorber column. Du ring a shock, the ball of the sensor goes out of its slot, a nd thus achieves the breaking
of the electri c c ircuit be tween the relay commanding the petrol-pump and t he pe trol-pum p
itself.
PLACING B ACK THE SH OCK-SENSOR IN OPERAT IONAL MO DE
     In order to resume the functioning of t he shock-sensor it will suffice to press its top,
and thus replace the ball in its former position. BREAKING FUEL SUPPLY

DIAGNOS TICATION
S pecial device: CLIP - SAGEM-TECHNIC TESTER which measures the battery
voltage and the intensity absorbed by the starter.
ANOMALOUS FUNCTIONING THAT CAN BE SETTLED
-Battery failure –contact drop on the starter when starting the engine.
-Blocked starter (t he absorbed curre nt is very high);
Coupling relay defect (the current absorbed is very weak).
In order to do the measurements one must carry t he engine in starter mode, thus pre -
venting the engine to run.
To do t hat, the revolution sensor (located in the c lutch cra nkcase) should be t aken apart .
Remark: After doing these tests, erase the possible defects memorized
by the calculator with the tester.

The system is made up of:
- electronic control  unit;
- double ignition coil;
- four sparking plugs;
- spark plugs.
  DES CRIPT IO N OF FUNCT IO NING PRINCI PL E
Accordi ng to the data received from
various sensors, but essentially according
to the revolution ratio and the load of t he
engine, the electronic control uni t will de-
termine the ignition advance; it will also
identify the cylinders that are set at the
upper center point and, consequently, will
command the re spective coil. This c auses the spark at the level of the
two cylinders t hat are at the upper center
point, thus interrupting the m ass-setting of
the respective coil. T
