LOADING
Fiat Ulysse Van has been designed
and approved for particular maxi-
mum weights:
– kerb weight
– payload
– total weight
– maximum weight on front axle
– maximum weight on rear axle
– towable weight.
Attain to each of these limits and
never exceed them.
Other stratagems can improve the
driving safety, travelling comfort and
vehicle life:
– distribute the load in a uniform
way. Should you need to concen-
trate the load in just one area,
choose the intermediate area
between the two axles;– remember that the lowest is the
load, the lowest is the vehicle centre
of gravity, thus making driving safer;
therefore always put the heaviest
goods in a lower position;
– remember that vehicle dynamic
behaviour is influenced by the load
carried: in particular, braking distances
become higher especially at high
speeds
fig. 6
F0B0405m
In the event of sharp brak-
ing or accidental bumps, a
sudden load movement might cre-
ate dangerous situations for the
driver and the passenger: before
moving off, secure the load by
means of the hooks provided for
the purpose. To fasten the load,
use cables, ropes or belts suitable
for the weight of the material to
be fastened.
