1Add 8 oz. (236 ml) of Additive Friction Modifier XL-3 or equivalent meeting FordSpecification EST-M2C118–A for complete refill of limited slip Ford axles. Ford designrear axles contain a synthetic lubricant that does not require changing unless you submergethe axle in water.2Ford recommends using Motorcraft (Ford) DOT 3 LV High Performance Motor VehicleBrake Fluid, Motorcraft (Ford) DOT 4 LV High Performance Motor Vehicle Brake Fluid orequivalent meeting WSS-M6C65-A1 or WSS-M6C65-A2. Use of any fluid other than therecommended fluid may cause degraded brake performance and not meet the Fordperformance standards. Keep brake fluid clean and dry. Contamination with dirt, water,petroleum products or other materials may result in brake system damage and possiblefailure.3Add the coolant type originally equipped in your vehicle.4Ford has designed your engine to use Motorcraft engine oils or equivalent oils that meetFord’s specification. Playing Video from Your Device
To access and play video from your device,your vehicle's transmission must be inposition P with the ignition in accessorymode. See Starting and Stopping theEngine (page 132).

A/V Inputs
WARNINGS
Driving while distracted can result inloss of vehicle control, crash andinjury. We strongly recommend thatyou use extreme caution when using anydevice that may take your focus off theroad. Your primary responsibility is the safeoperation of your vehicle. We recommendagainst the use of any handheld devicewhile driving and encourage the use ofvoice-operated systems when possible.Make sure you are aware of all applicablelocal laws that may affect the use ofelectronic devices while driving.
For safety reasons, do not connector adjust the settings on yourportable music player while yourvehicle is moving.
Store the portable music player in asecure location, such as the centerconsole or the glove box, when yourvehicle is moving. Hard objects maybecome projectiles in a crash or suddenstop, which may increase the risk of seriousinjury. The audio extension cable must belong enough to allow the portable musicplayer to be safely stored while yourvehicle is moving.
Your A/V inputs allow you to connect anauxiliary audio/video source (such as agaming systems or a personal camcorder)by connecting RCA cords (not included)to these input jacks. The jacks are yellow,red and white and are located eitherbehind a small access door on theinstrument panel or in your center console.
You can also use the A/V inputs as anauxiliary input jack to play music from yourportable music player over your vehicle'sspeakers. Plug in your 1/8 inch (3.5millimeter) RCA adapter into the two leftA/V input jacks (red and white).
Press the lower left corner of thetouchscreen, and then select A/V In.
To use the auxiliary input jack feature,make sure that your portable music playeris designed for use with headphones andthat it is fully charged. You also need anaudio extension cable with stereo male1/8-inch (3.5 millimeter) connectors at oneend and a RCA jack at the other.
1.Switch off the engine, radio andportable music player. Set the parkingbrake and put the transmission inposition P.
2.Attach one end of the audio extensioncable to the headphone output of yourplayer and the other end into theadapter in one of the two left A/V inputjacks (white or red) inside the centerconsole.

For maximum vehicle performance, keepthe following information in mind whenadding accessories or equipment to yourvehicle:
•When adding accessories, equipment,passengers and luggage to yourvehicle, do not exceed the total weightcapacity of the vehicle or of the frontor rear axle (GVWR or GAWR asindicated on the Safety ComplianceCertification label). Ask an authorizeddealer for specific weight information.
•The Federal CommunicationsCommission (FCC) and CanadianRadio TelecommunicationsCommission (CRTC) regulate the useof mobile communications systemsthat are equipped with radiotransmitters, for example, two-wayradios, telephones and theft alarms.Any such equipment installed in yourvehicle should comply with FederalCommunications Commission (FCC)and Canadian RadioTelecommunications Commission(CRTC) regulations and should beinstalled only by an authorized dealer.
•An authorized dealer needs to installmobile communications systems.Improper installation may harm theoperation of your vehicle, particularlyif the manufacturer did not design themobile communication systemspecifically for automotive use.
•If you or an authorized Ford dealer addany non-Ford electrical or electronicaccessories or components to yourvehicle, you may adversely affectbattery performance and durability. Inaddition, you may also adversely affectthe performance of other electricalsystems in the vehicle.
AUXILIARY SWITCHES
The auxiliary switchboard on the centerconsole makes aftermarket customizationeasier, with four prewired switchesattached to the power distribution box forelectrical accessories.
These switches are labeled AUX 1,AUX2,AUX 3 and AUX 4. They will onlyoperate while the ignition is in the onposition, whether the engine is running ornot. It is, however, recommended that theengine remain running to maintain abattery charge when using the switchesfor an extended duration or higher currentdraws. When switched on by the operatorthey provide 10 amps, 15 amps or 30 ampsof electrical battery power for a variety ofuses.
The switches control relays and fuses thatare located under the hood in the auxiliaryswitch pass through circuits. See Fuses(page 223).
