Voice Control Operation
Your vehicle has a voice control syst em that allows hands-free operation.
The voice control system uses the (tal k) and (back) buttons on the steering
wheel and a microphone near the map lights on the ceiling.
To achieve optimum voice recognition when using the voice control system:
• Make sure the correct screen is displa yed for the voice command that you are
using.
The system recognizes only certain commands.
Available voice commands:

•Close the windows and moonroof*.
• Adjust the dashboard and side vents so air does not blow onto the microphone
on the ceiling.
• Speak clearly in a clear, natural speaking voice without pausing between words.
• Reduce any background noise if possible. The system may misinterpret your
command if more than one person is speaking at the same time.

When you press the button, a helpful prompt asks
what you would like to do. Press and release the
button again to bypass this prompt and give a
command.

FeaturesWhen the (talk) button is pressed,
available voice commands appear on the
screen.
For a complete list of commands, say “Voice
Help” after the beep.
The system only reco gnizes the commands
on the following pages, at certain screens.
Free-form voice commands are not
recognized.
■Voice Portal Screen
These commands can only be used when a
phone is connected. When the system
recognizes a Phone command, the screen
will change to the dedicated phone voice
recognition screen.

The system only rec ognizes contact names
stored in the phonebook of your phone. If a
full name is registered in the first name
field, the system will recognize the first
name and last name as one contact name.
Phone commands are not available if using
Apple CarPlay.
When the system recognizes an Audio
command, the screen will change to the
dedicated audio voice recognition screen.

When you select an RDS-capable FM station, the RDS
automatically turns on, and the frequency display
changes to the station name. However, when the
signals of that station become weak, the display

■To Change the Tune Mode1Playing SiriusXM ® Radio*
In the channel mode, all available channels are
selectable. In the categor y mode, you can select a
channel within a ca tegory (Jazz, Rock, Classical, etc.).
There may be instances when SiriusXM ® Radio does
not broadcast all the data fi elds (artist name, title).
This does not indicate a problem with your audio
system.
SiriusXM ® Radio stations load in ascending order,
which can take about a minute. Once they have
loaded you will be able to scroll up or down to make
your selections.
Switching the Audio Mode
Roll up or down the left se lector wheel to select
Audio or select the audio source icon on the screen.

Tune Start:
When you change to a preset channel, a song being
played on that channel restarts from the beginning
with this function. This can be turned on or off by the
following procedure.
1. Select Settings .
2. Select Tune Start .
3. Select ON or OFF .
To change a category, select Category icons, or
select More and then select Category List.

To store a channel:
1. Tune to the selected channel.
2. Select and hold the preset number fo r the station you want to store.
■Multi-channel preset (for music channels only)
You can store up to 10 of your pref erred music channels per preset.
1. Tune a station.
2. Select and hold the preset number you
want to add a music channel.
3. Select Add to TuneMix or Create
TuneMix .
u A message appears if there are no
available presets.

You can store 12 SiriusXM ® channels into the preset
memory.
1 Multi-channel preset (for music channels only)
TuneMix:
The multi-channel preset function can be turned on
or off by the following procedure.
1. Select Settings .
2. Select TuneMix.
3. Select ON or OFF .
When you want to replac e the channel, select
Replace preset .
If you want to delete a channel, select Edit TuneMix,
and then select the channel you want to delete.
