B340E01A-AAT Headlight Flasher To flash the headlights, pull the switch lever toward you, then release it. The headlights can be flashed even thoughthe headlight switch is in the "OFF" position. HXDFL351
To turn them "ON" again you must simply turn the ignition key to the "ON"position. B340F01A-GAT Daytime Running Lights (If installed) Your Hyundai is equipped with day- time running lights. The daytime run- ning lights are used to improve visibil- ity for oncoming traffic. Your vehicledaytime running lights are designed to remain on continuously when the en- gine is operating even though the head-light switch is in the "OFF" position. However, the daytime running lights will be off while the parking brake isapplied.
B340D01A-AAT High-beam Switch To turn on the headlight high beams, push the lever forward (away from you). The high beam indicator light will come on at the same time. For lowbeams, pull the lever back toward you.
B340G01LZ-GAT Auto Light (If installed)

To operate the automatic light feature, turn the barrel on the end of the multi- function switch. If you set the multi-function switch to "AUTO", the tail lights and headlights will be turned automatically on or off according toexternal illumination conditions. NOTE: Switch on car light manually in foggy, cloudy and rainy conditions.

-Push "H" to advance the hour
indicated.
MIN -Push "M" to advance the
minute indicated.
RESET - Push "R" to reset minutes to
":00" to facilitate resetting the clock to the correct time. When this is done:
Pressing "R" between 10 : 30 and 11 :29 changes the readout to 11 : 00.Pressing "R" between 11 : 30 and 12 : 29 changes the readout to 12 : 00. Push the "R" buttion for 5 seconds to display a 12- or 24-hour clock (If in- stalled).
HAZARD WARNING SYSTEM
B370A01A-AAT The hazard warning system should be used whenever you find it necessaryto stop the car in a hazardous location. When you must make such an emer- gency stop, always pull off the road asfar as possible. The hazard warning lights are turned on by pushing in the hazard switch.This causes all turn signal lights to blink. The hazard warning lights will operate even though the key is not inthe ignition. B410A01A-AAT (If installed) The instrument panel lights can be made brighter or dimmer by turning the instrument panel light control knob. B420A02A-AAT For the cigarette lighter to work, the key must be in the "ACC" position or the "ON" position.To use the cigarette lighter, push it all the way into its socket. When the element has heated, the lighter willpop out to the "ready" position. Do not hold the cigarette lighter pressed in. This can damage the heating ele-ment and create a fire hazard. If it is necessary to replace the ciga- rette lighter, use only a genuine Hyundaireplacement or its approved equiva- lent.

The front ashtray may be opened by pushing and releasing the ashtray lid. To remove the ashtray to empty orclean it, lift the metal ash receptacle upward and pull it out. The ashtray light will only illuminate when the exter-nal lights are on (If installed).

These supply 12V electric power to operate electric accessories or equip-ment only when the key is in the "ON" or "ACC" position. CAUTION:

o Do not use the power outlet to

B450A01E-AAT Front Drink Holder The front drink holder for holding cups is located on the right side of the parking brake.
B530A01A-AAT Always engage the parking brake be- fore leaving the car. This also turns onthe parking brake indicator light when the key is in the "ON" or "START" position. Before driving away, be surethat the parking brake is fully released and the indicator light is off.
o To engage the parking brake, pull
the lever up as far as possible.
o To release the parking brake, pull up the lever and press the thumb button. Then, while holding the but- ton in, lower the brake lever. B530A01E
B440A01E-AAT Rear Ashtray The rear ashtray may be opened by pulling the lid out by its top edge. To remove the ashtray to empty or clean it, press down on the spring-loaded tabinside the ashtray and lift the ashtray upward and pull it all the way out.

B460B03E-AAT OPERATING THE SUNROOF SYSTEMOpening or Closing the Sunroof

The sunroof can be electrically opened or closed with the ignition key in the "ON" position. The sunroof is moved to its fully open position by pushing andholding the "OPEN" button. Release the button when the sunroof reaches the desired position. To close, pressand hold the "CLOSE" button.

Listed below are the examples of proper switch settings. For loading conditionsother than those listed below, adjust the switch position so that the beam level may be the nearest as the condi-tion obtained according to the list. B470A02S-AAT SUNSHADE The sunshade can be opened and closed by sliding it forward or rearwardwhen the sunroof is closed. The sun- shade will be opened automatically when the sunroof is opened, but itmust be closed manually.

B490A03E-AAT Interior light The interior courtesy light has a switch of three positions. The three positions are:
oDR In the "DR" position, the interior cour-tesy light comes on when any door is opened regardless of the ignition key position. The light goes out when thedoor is closed. B490B01ENOTE: If your vehicle is equipped with the delay-out interior light, the light goes out gradually within 6 sec-onds after the door is closed.
oON In the "ON" position, the light stays on at all times.

SPECTACLE CASE
B491A02F-GAT (If installed) The spectacle case is located on the front overhead console. Push the end of the cover to open thespectacle case.
WARNING:
Do not open the spectacle case while the vehicle is moving. The rear view mirror of the vehicle canbe blocked by an open spectacle case. HXDOM241

It is op-erated by the control lever in the bot- tom front corner of the window. Before driving away, always checkthat your mirrors are positioned so you can see behind you, both to the left and right sides, as well as directly behindyour vehicle.
