The instrument panel lights can be made brighter or dimmer by turning the instrument panel light control knob.
For loading conditions other than thoselisted, adjust the switch position sothat the beam level may be the nearest as the condition obtained according to the list.

When the outside air temperature is very low, or when it is necessary to warm up the engine, then turn the knobclockwise to that point at which the engine runs smoothly, and then, once the warming up is completed, fully turnthe knob counterclockwise. CAUTION:
Never attempt to adjust the vehicleduring driving by using the control knob.

25FRONT FOG LIGHT SWITCH
C250A02P-GAT (If installed) The front fog light is turned on by pushing the switch located in the in- strument panel. To turn the front foglight off, push the switch again. The indicator becomes illuminated when the fog light switch is turned on.The operation of the rear fog light is identical to the front fog light. (If installed) NOTE: The lights will only function when the headlights are in use. C250A01PFRONT DOOR EDGE WARNING LIGHT
B620A01S-AAT (If installed) A red light comes on when the front door is opened. The purpose of this light is to assist when you get in or out and alsoto warn passing vehicles. B620A01SHIGH-MOUNTED REAR STOP LIGHT
B550A01Y-AAT (Minibus/Van) (If Installed) In addition to the lower-mounted rear stoplights on either side of the car, the high mounted rear stoplight in the cen-ter of the rear window or installed in the rear spoiler also comes on when the brakes are applied. B550A01P

B370A01A-AAT The hazard warning system should be used whenever you find it necessary to stop the car in a hazardous location.When you must make such an emer- gency stop, always pull off the road as far as possible.The hazard warning lights are turned on by pushing in the hazard switch. This causes all turn signal lights toblink. The hazard warning lights will operate even though the key is not in the ignition.To turn the hazard warning lights off, push the switch a second time. The front/rear window defroster is actu- ated in connection with the front window defroster. The window defroster is turned on by pushing in the switch. To turn thedefroster off, pushing in the switch a second time. The front/rear window defroster automatically turns itself offafter about 20 minutes. To restart the defroster cycle, push in the switch again after it has turned itself off. CAUTION:
Do not clean the inner side of thefront/rear window glass with an abra- sive type of glass cleaner or use a scraper to remove the foreign depos-its from the inner surface of the glass as this may cause damage to the defroster elements.

NOTE: The engine must be running for the front/rear window defroster to oper- ate.

CAUTION:
o Use when the engine is running and remove a plug from the poweroutlet after using the electric ap- pliance. Using when the engine stops or remaining the electricappliance with plugged in for many hours may cause the bat- tery to be discharged. HSRFL500
B420A02A-AAT For the cigarette lighter to work, the key must be in the "ACC" position or the"ON" position. To use the cigarette lighter, push it all the way into its socket. When theelement has heated, the lighter will pop out to the "ready" position. Do not hold the cigarette lighter pressedin. This can damage the heating ele- ment and create a fire hazard. If it is necessary to replace the ciga-rette lighter, use only a genuine Hyundai replacement or its approved equiva- lent.

B480A01E-AAT Map Light (Minibus) (If installed) The two map light buttons are located on both sides of the front overheadconsole. Push in the map light button to turn the light on or off. This light produces a spot beam for convenientuse as a map light at night or as a personal light for the driver and the passenger.

The three positions are:
o DR (

In the DR ( ·) position, the interior
courtesy light comes on when any door is opened regardless of the igni-tion key position. The light goes out when the door is closed. NOTE: If your vehicle is equipped with the delay-out interior light, the light goes out gradually within 6 sec-onds after the door is closed.
oON In the "ON" position, the light stays on at all times.
CAUTION:
Do not leave the switch in this posi- tion for an extended period time when the vehicle is not running. o OFF In the "OFF" position, the light stays off at all times even though a door is open.

ON : The light illuminates.
OFF : The light goes out.

DOOR : The light illuminates when theslide door and/or the tailgate is opened and goes out when it closed.

B470A01S-AAT SUNSHADE (Minibus) (If installed) The sunshade can be opened and closed by sliding it forward or rearward when the sunroof is closed. The sunshade will open automatically when the sunroofis opened, but it must be closed manu- ally.

WARNING:
o Do not close a sunroof if anyone's hands, arms or body are between the sliding glass and the sunroof sash, as this could result in injury.
o Do not place your head or arms out of the sunroof opening at anytime.
o While the vehicle is moving, al- ways keep the head, hands andother parts of the body of all occu- pants away from the roof opening.Otherwise, you could be seriously injured if the vehicle stops sud- denly or if the vehicle is involvedin an accident. CAUTION:
o Do not open the sunroof in se- verely cold temperature or whenit is covered with ice or snow.
o Periodically remove any dirt that
may have accumulated on theguide rails.
o After washing the car or after there
being rain, be sure to wipe off anywater that is on the sunroof before operating it.

Never adjust the sunshade while driving. In case of closing the rear sunroof, itstops at a half position before full clos-ing. Therefore, release the button and then press and hold it again to close it completely.

B460E01P-GAT REAR SUNROOF The rear sunroof can be electrically opened or closed. To open or to close, press and hold the button located onthe center of the roof panel. Release the button when the sunroof reaches the desired position. As a precautionwhen closing , it stops at a half position before fully closing. Therefore, release the button and then press it again toclose it completely. B460E01PManual Operation of Sunroof If the sunroof does not electrically op- erate:
1. Remove the plastic cover in the roof
panel.
2. Insert the hexagonal head wrench in to the socket. This wrench can be founded in the tool bag at the rightcorner of the vehicle.
3. Turn the wrench clockwise to open

1. Remove the rectangular plasticcover in the front of the roof panel.
2. Insert the hexagonal head wrench
into the socket. This wrench can be found in the tool bag at the right corner of the vehicle.
3. Turn the wrench clockwise to open

To reduce glare or to shut out direct rays of the sun, turn the sunvisordown to block the annoyance.
