B350B01O-GAT Windshield Washer Operation To use the windshield washer, pull the wiper/washer lever toward the steer- ing wheel. When the washer lever is operated, the wipers automaticallymake two passes across the wind- shield. The washer continues to oper- ate until the lever is released. B350B01FCNOTE:
o Do not operate the washer more
than 15 seconds at a time or when the fluid reser- voir is empty.
o In icy or freezing weather, be sure the wiper blades are notfrozen to the glass prior to oper-ating the wipers.
o In areas where water freezes in
winter, use windshield washerantifreeze.
Mist Wiper Operation If a single wipe is desired in mist, push the windshield wiper and washer con- trol lever upwards. B350B02FC
WINDSHIELD WIPER AND WASHER SWITCH
B350A01A-AAT The windshield wiper switch has three positions:
1. Intermittent wiper operation
2. Low-speed operation
3. High-speed operation NOTE: To prevent damage to the wiper system, do not attempt to wipe awayheavy accumulations of snow or ice. Accumulated snow and ice should be removed manually. Ifthere is only a light layer of snow or ice, operate the heater in the de- frost mode to melt the snow or icebefore using the wiper. B350A01FC

1. :The washer fluid will be sprayed
onto the rear window and the wiper operates while the rearwindow wiper barrel is placed in this position.
2.OFF
3.INT : To use the intermittent wiper
feature, place the rear windowwiper barrel in the "INT" posi-tion.
4.ON : When the point indicates "ON",
the rear window wiper operatescontinuously.

B370A01A-AAT The hazard warning system should be used whenever you find it necessary to stop the car in a hazardous location.When you must make such an emer- gency stop, always pull off the road as far as possible.The hazard warning lights are turned on by pushing in the hazard switch. This causes all turn signal lights toblink. The hazard warning lights will operate even though the key is not in the ignition.To turn the hazard warning lights off, push the switch a second time. The washer fluid reservoir supplies
fluid to the windshield washer sys- tem.
A good quality washer fluid should be
used to fill the washer reservoir. Thefluid level should be checked more frequently during inclement weather or whenever the washer system is inmore frequent use. The capacity of the washer reservoir
is 3.0 liters (3.2 U.S. quarts).

CAUTION:
o Do not operate the wipers on dry glass. This can result in more rapid wear of the wiper blades and may scratch the glass.
o Keep the blade rubber out of contact with petroleum productssuch as engine oil, gasoline, etc.
G080A02A-AAT The wiper blades should be carefully
inspected from time to time and cleaned to remove accumulations ofroad film or other debris. To clean the wiper blades and arms, use a clean sponge or cloth with a mild soap ordetergent and water. If the wipers continue to streak or smear the glass, replace them with genuine Hyundaireplacement parts or their equivalent. HEF119
