HOW TO SELECT MENUS ON THE
SCREEN
Vehicle functions are viewed on the display
screen in menus. Whenever a menu selection is
made or menu item is highlighted, different
areas on the screen provide you with important
information. See the following for details.
1. Header:
Shows the path used to get to the current
screen. (i.e. push SETTING button > choose
ªComfort & Conv.º menu item.)
2. Menu Selections:
Shows the options to choose within that
menu screen. (i.e. Auto Interior Illumination,
etc.)
3. UP/DOWN Movement indicator:
Shows that the INFINITI controller may be
used to move UP/DOWN on the screen and
select more options.
4. Screen Count:
Shows the number of menu selections avail-
able for that screen (i.e. 1/9).
5. Footer/Information Line:
Provides more information (if available)
about the menu selection currently high-
lighted. (i.e.
Cabin lighting when un-
locking doors.)
HOW TO USE STATUS BUTTON
To display the status of the audio, climate
control system, fuel consumption and naviga-
tion system (if so equipped), push the STATUS
button. The following information will appear
when the STATUSbutton is pushed.
Audio !Audio and Climate control system !
Audio and fuel consumption !Audio and Navi-
gation system (if so equipped) !Audio
HOW TO USE BRIGHTNESS CONTROL
AND DISPLAY ON/OFF BUTTON
Push the ªOFF º button to switch the
display brightness to the daytime mode or the
nighttime mode, and to adjust the display
brightness using the INFINITI controller while
the indicator is displayed at the bottom of the
screen.
The display brightness can also be adjusted
using the brightness UP button (+) or bright-
ness DOWN button (2) (models without naviga-
tion system).
Push and hold the ª
OFF º button for more
than 2 seconds to turn the display off. Push the
button again to turn the display on.

HOW TO USE DISP BUTTON (models
without navigation system)
Push theDISPbutton to show the display
setting screen. (See ªDisplay settingsº later in
this section.)
HOW TO USE TRIP BUTTON (models
without navigation system)
Push the TRIPbutton to show the trip computer
display. (See ªTrip Computer informationº later
in this section.)
HOW TO USE FUEL ECON BUTTON
(models without navigation system)
Push the FUEL ECON button to show the fuel
economy information. (See ªFuel Economy infor-
mationº later in this section.)
HOW TO USE INFO BUTTON
The display screen shows vehicle and naviga-
tion (if so equipped) information for your con-
venience.
The information shown on the screen should be
a guide to determine the condition of the ve-
hicle. See the following for details.
Vehicle information display
1. Push the INFObutton on the control panel.
2. Choose an item using the INFINITI control- ler and push the ENTERbutton.
3. After viewing or adjusting the information on the following screens, push the BACK
button to return to the INFORMATION
menu.

Fuel Economy information
The distance to empty, average fuel economy
and current fuel economy (shown on the right
side bar) will be displayed for reference.
To reset the Average Fuel Economy, use the
INFINITI controller to highlight the ªResetº key
and push the ENTERbutton.
If the ª Viewº key is highlighted with the
INFINITI controller and the ENTERbutton is
pushed, the average fuel consumption history
will be displayed in graph form along with the
average for the previous Reset-to-Reset period.
The unit can be converted between ªUSº and
ªMetricº. (See ªHOW TO USE SETTING BUTTONº
later in this section.)
For models without the navigation system, the
information can be displayed by pushing the
FUEL ECON button on the control panel.
Tire Pressure information
The tire pressure will be displayed for refer-
ence.
The pressure indication ª** psiº on the screen
means that the tire pressure is being measured.
After a few driving trips, the pressure for each
tire will be displayed.
In case of low tire pressure, LOW PRESSURE
information will be displayed on the screen.
Check the pressure for all tires.
Tire pressure rises and falls depending on the
heat caused by the vehicle's traveling condition
and the temperature.

Others information (models with

Select theªOthersºkey and push the ENTER
button to show ªVoice Recognitionº and ªNavi-
gation Versionº.
Voice Recognition information
(models with navigation system)
When you use the INFINITI Voice Recognition
system for the first time or if you do not know
how to operate it, you can display the voice
command list or user guide for confirmation.
(See ªINFINITI VOICE RECOGNITION SYSTEM
(models with navigation system)º later in this
section for the details.)
Command List :
Displays a list of voice commands that the
system can recognize. User Guide :
Displays a simplified operation manual of the
voice recognition system and how to use the
voice commands.
Navigation Version information
(models with navigation system)
The version of the navigation system will be
displayed.

Precision Phased Audio (if so equipped) :
When this item is turned to ON, super high pitch
sound and super low pitch sound are empha-
sized and midrange sound is played naturally.
Speed Sensitive Vol. (if so equipped) :
Sound volume is increased according to the
vehicle speed. Choose the effect level from OFF
(0) to 5.
Display settings
The following display will appear when pushing
theSETTING button, selecting ªDisplay º key
with the INFINITI controller and pushing the
ENTER button.
For models without the navigation system, the
setting screen can be displayed by pushing the
DISP button on the control panel.
Display :
To turn off the screen, push the ENTERbutton
and turn the ªDisplayº indicator off. The other
method is to push and hold the ª
OFF º
button for more than 2 seconds. When any mode button is pushed with the
screen off, the screen turns on for further
operation. The screen will turn off automatically
5 seconds after the operation is finished.
To turn on the screen, set this item to the ON
position, or push the ª
OFF
º button.
Brightness/Contrast/Background Color :
To adjust the brightness and contrast of the
screen, select the ª BrightnessºorªContrast º
key and push the ENTERbutton.
Then, you can adjust the brightness to ªDarkerº
or ªBrighterº, and the contrast to ªLowerº or
ªHigherº using the INFINITI controller.

er's Manual.

Rear Display settings (if so equipped)
The following display will appear when pushing
theSETTING button, selecting the ªRear Dis-
playº key with the INFINITI controller and push-
ing the ENTERbutton.
Rear Display :
To open the rear display, push the ENTER
button. The rear display is flipped down auto-
matically. To close the rear display, push the
ENTER button and turn the ªOKº indicator off.
The rear display will be closed automatically
when the ignition switch is pushed to the LOCK
position. The rear display can be also opened or closed
using the remote controller. (See ªINFINITI MO-
BILE ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEM (MES)º later in
this section.)
Volume and Beeps settings (models
with navigation system)
The following display will appear when pushing
the
SETTING button, selecting the ª Volume and
Beeps º key with the INFINITI controller and
pushing the ENTERbutton.
Guidance Vol. :
To adjust the guidance voice volume louder or
softer, select the ªGuidance Volumeº and ad-
just it with the INFINITI controller.
You can also adjust the guidance voice volume
by turning the VOLUME control knob while voice
guidance is being announced.

Guidance Voice :
When this item is turned to ON, you will hear
voice guidance in the navigation (if so
equipped) operation or in other operations.
Ringer Vol./Incoming Call/Outgoing Call :
For the details of these items, see

tion.
Button Beeps :
When this item is turned to ON, you will hear a
beep sound when you use a button.
Beeps settings (models without
navigation system)
The following display will appear when pushing
the SETTING button, selecting the ª Beepsº key
with the INFINITI controller and pushing the
ENTER button.
Button Beeps :
When this item is turned to ON, you will hear a
beep sound when you use a button.
Phone settings (models with
navigation system)
For the details of ªPhoneº settings, see

Clock settings (models with
navigation system)
The following display will appear when pushing
the SETTING button, selecting the ªClock º key
with the INFINITI controller and pushing the
ENTER button.
On-screen Clock :
When this item is turned to ON, a clock is
always displayed in the upper right corner of
the screen.
This clock will indicate the time almost exactly
because it is always adjusted by the GPS sys-
tem.

Clock Format :
Choose either the 12-hour clock display or the
24-hour clock display.
Offset Adjust :
Adjust the time by increasing or decreasing per
minute.
Daylight Saving Time :
Turn this item to ON for daylight saving time
application.
Time Zone :
Choose the time zone from the following

c Mountain
c Central
c Eastern
c Atlantic
c Newfoundland
c Hawaii
c Aleutian
c Alaska

Select the ªOthers º key and push the ENTER
button to show ªComfort & Conv.º, ªVoice Rec-
ognitionº and ªLanguage/Unitsº.Comfort & Conv. settings
The following display will appear when pushing
the SETTING button, selecting the ªComfort &
Conv. º key* with the INFINITI controller and
pushing the ENTERbutton. This key does not
appear on the display until the ignition switch is
pushed to the ON position.
* For models with the navigation system, select
the ªOthers º key to show the Comfort & Conv.
º key.
Auto Interior Illumination :
When this item is turned to ON, the interior
lights will illuminate if any door is unlocked.

Auto Headlights Sensitivity (if so equipped) :
Adjust the sensitivity of the automatic head-
lights higher (right) or lower (left).
Auto Headlights Off Delay (if so equipped) :
Choose the duration of the automatic headlight
off timer from 0, 30, 45, 60, 90, 120, 150 and
180 second periods.
Selective Door Unlock :
When this item is turned to ON, only the driver's
door is unlocked first after the door unlock
operation. When the door handle request
switch on the driver's or front passenger's side
door is pushed to be unlocked, only the corre-
sponding door is unlocked first. All the doors
can be unlocked if the door unlock operation is
performed again within 5 seconds.
When this item is turned to OFF, all the doors
will be unlocked after the door unlock operation
is performed once.
Intelligent Key Lock/Unlock :
When this item is turned to ON, door
lock/unlock function by pushing the door
handle request switch will be activated.
Lift Steering Wheel on Exit (if so equipped) :
When this item is turned to ON, the steering
wheel moves upward for easy exit if the ignitionswitch is in the LOCK position and the driver's
door is opened. After getting into the vehicle
and pushing the ignition switch to the ACC
position, the steering wheel moves to the pre-
vious position.
Slide Driver Seat Back on Exit (if so equipped) :
When this item is turned to ON, the driver's seat
moves backward for easy exit if the ignition
switch is in the LOCK position and the driver's
door is opened. After getting into the vehicle
and pushing the ignition switch to the ACC
position, the driver's seat moves to the previous
position.
Return All Settings to Default :
Select this item, push the
ENTERbutton and
choose ªYESº if you want to return all settings
to the default.
Voice Recognition settings (models
with navigation system)
For details about the ªVoice Recognitionº set-
tings, see ªINFINITI VOICE RECOGNITION SYS-
TEM (models with navigation system)º later in
this section.
Language/Units settings
The following display will appear when pushing
the SETTING button, selecting the
ªLanguage/Units º key* with the INFINITI con-
troller and pushing the ENTERbutton.
* For models with the navigation system, select
the ªOthers º key to show the Language/Units
º key.
Select Language :
Choose the ª Select Language º key and push
the ENTER button. From the following display,
select ªEnglishº, ªFranÕaisº or ªEspaÞolº* for
your favorite display appearance.
With navigation system

Select Units :
Choose the ªSelect Unitsº key and push the
ENTER button. From the following display, se-
lect ªUSº (Mile, ÉF, MPG) or ªMetricº (km, ÉC,
L/100 km) for your favorite display appearance.
Select Units (Tire Pressure) :
Choose the ª Select Units (Tire Pressure) º key
and push the ENTERbutton. From the following
display, select ªkPaº or ªpsiº.HOW TO USE AUX BUTTON
Images being played can be switched to the
center display if NTSC compatible devices are
connected to the auxiliary input jacks on the
rear side of the center console. (See ªAUXILIARY
INPUT JACKSº later in this section.)
Push the DISC´AUX (with navigation) AUX(with-
out navigation) button to perform switching.
Pushing the DISC´AUXbutton (for models with
the navigation system) will switch the displays
as follows:
CD !CompactFlash* !DVD* !AUX !iPodT*
! Music Box* !CD
*: if so equipped
Display Mode
The above display will appear when the ª Set-
tings º key is selected using the INFINITI con-
troller and pushing the ENTERbutton.
Choose the display mode from the following:
c Normal
c Wide
c Cinema
Images can only be shown on the front display
when the vehicle is stopped and the parking
brake is applied.
