CAUTION:
Disconnect the battery cable from negative terminal or remove the fuse.
Never touch the glass of bulb directly by hand. Keep grease and other oily substaces away from it.
Never touch bulb by hand while it is lit or right after it is off.
Never leave bulb out of lamp reflector for a long ti me because dust, moisture smoke, etc. may affect
the performance of lamp. When replacing bu lb, be sure to replace it with a new one.
GLOVE BOX LAMP BULB
1. Remove glove box assembly. Refer to IP-14, "Removal and Installation".
2. Rotate the bulb socket counterclockwise and unlock it.
3. Remove the bulb.

When removing instrument panel assembly, combination meter, front display unit, AV control unit, instrument
finisher A, instrument fini sher B, and center console assembly take st eps as per the order shown in the follow-
ing chart.

Climate controlled seat relay Supplies power to the climate controlled seat control unit in accordance with the key switch
position that is ON or START
Climate controlled seat control unit Installed in the seat cushion backside and controls the seat cushion blower motor, seatback
blower motor, seatback thermal electric unit, and seat cushion thermal electric unit in accor-
dance with the input signal.
Climate controlled seat switch Installed in the center console and transmits signals to climate controlled seat control unit in
accordance with the HEAT (heated airflow) or COOL (cooled airflow) switch operation and the
temperature switch operation

YES >> Replace the control valve & TCM. Refer to TM-182, "Exploded View".
NO >> Repair or replace damaged parts.
6.DETECT MALFUNCTIONING ITEM (PART 1)
Check the following.
Harness for short or open between battery positive term inal and A/T assembly vehicle side harness connec-
tor terminal 2. Refer to PG-11, "
Wiring Diagram - BATTERY POWER SUPPLY -".

10A fuse (No.38, located in the fuse, fusible link and relay box). Refer to PG-141, "
Fuse and Fusible Link
Arrangement".
Is the inspection result normal?
YES >> Check intermittent incident. Refer to GI-40, "Intermittent Incident".
NO >> Repair or replace damaged parts.
7.CHECK HARNESS BETWEEN IPDM E/ R AND A/T ASSEMBLY (PART 1)
1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
2. Disconnect IPDM E/R connector.
3. Check continuity between IPDM E/R vehicle side harness connector terminal and A/T assembly vehicle
side harness connector terminals.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES >> GO TO 8.
NO >> Repair or replace damaged parts.
8.CHECK HARNESS BETWEEN IPDM E/ R AND A/T ASSEMBLY (PART 2)
Check continuity between A/T assembly vehicle side harness connector terminal and ground.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES >> GO TO 9.
NO >> Repair or replace damaged parts.
9.DETECT MALFUNCTIONING ITEM (PART 2)
Check the following.
Harness for short or open between ignition switch and IPDM E/R. Refer to PG-89, "
Wiring Diagram - IGNI-
TION POWER SUPPLY -".
Ignition switch
10A fuse (No.55, located in the IPDM E/R). Refer to PG-143, "
Fuse, Connector and Terminal Arrangement".

Is the inspection result normal?
YES >> Check intermittent incident. Refer to GI-40, "Intermittent Incident".
NO >> Repair or replace damaged parts.
