The Rear Door Alert functions under certain conditions to indicate
there may be an object or passenger in the rear seat(s). The system is
activated when a rear door is opened and closed within 10 minutes of
the vehicle being driven.
TURNING THE REAR DOOR ALERT SYSTEM ON:
• Push the Rear Door Alert switch . The Rear Door Alert switch indicator light will illuminate.
TURNING THE REAR DOOR ALERT SYSTEM OFF:
• Push the Rear Door Alert Switch again. The Rear Door Alert Switch Indicator light
will go off.
TO DISABLE THE REAR DOOR ALERT SYSTEM:
• When the vehicle is in the P (Park) position, a
message will appear in the vehicle information
display
. The options “DISMISS” o r “ DISABLE
ALERT” will be listed.
• Push the switch to select “DISMISS” to
clear the display. If no selection is made, the
message turns off after a period of time.
• Push the switch to select “DISABLE ALERT” to disable the horn alert for
the remainder of the current trip.

Rear Door Alert Head Restraint Adjustment
To raise the head restraint: Pull the head restraint up.
To lower the head restraint: Push and hold the lock
knob
and push the head restraint down.
Make sure the head restraint is fully engaged in
position after any adjustment.

OFF position
Automatic (AUTO) headlight mode ON position (headlights switch on/
off automatically depending on ambient light conditions/daytime running
light system)
Headlight ON position
Side lights, license plate lights and combination meter lighting ON position
Front fog light switch
Push the headlight switch forward for the high beams.
For High Beam Auto-Dimming (Auto position):
• When the vehicle speed is less than 17 mph (27 km/h), the headlight returns to low beam.
• To disable high beam auto-dimming, turn headlight switch to headlight
ON position .
Pull the headlight swit ch rearward to flash the high beams.
For normal headlight operation, leave the exterior light switch in the AUTO position.Please see your Owner’s Manual for important safety information, system limitations, and additional operating and

Sun Visors
Pull down the sun visor to block glare
from the front.
Remove the sun visor from the center mount
by lifting it slightly and swing it to the side to
block glare from the side window.
Draw out the extension sun visor from the
main sun visor to block further glare.

Fuel-filler Door
To open the fuel-filler door, unlock
the vehicle and gently push the rear
side of the fuel-filler door.

Clock Set/Adjustment
To adjust the time and the appearance of
the clock on the display:
1. Press the MENU button below the
lower display. Then select the “Settings”
key on the lower display.
2. Select the “ Clock” key to adjust “On-
Screen Clock”, “Daylight Savings Time”,
“Clock Format (24h)” and “Time Zone”.

• The Forward Emergency Braking (FEB) system can assist the driver when there is a risk of a
forward collision with the vehicle ahead in the
traveling lane or with a pedestrian.
• The FEB operates at speeds greater than 3 mph (5 km/h).
• If there is a risk of a forward collision, an audible tone will sound and the vehicle ahead detection
indicator light will illuminate. If the driver applies the brakes after the warning and the FEB
detects that there is still the possibility
of a forward collision, the system will
automatically increase the braking force.
If the driver does not take action, the FEB
will issue a second flashing visual warning
, an audible warning and also apply
partial braking.
TURNING FORWARD EMERGENCY BRAKING WITH
PEDESTRIAN DETECTION ON OR OFF
1. Push the MENU button and touch “Driver Assistance” on the lower display.
2. Touch “Emergency Assist”.
3. Touch “Emergency Braking” to turn the system ON/OFF.

Blind Spot Warning (BSW) Forward Emergency Braking
with Pedestrian Detection
• The Blind Spot Warning (BSW) can help alert the driver of other
vehicles in the blind spot area when changing lanes.
• When the Warning Systems switch is turned off, the warning
systems ON indicator light on the switch is off.
TURNING BLIND SPOT WARNING ON OR OFF
1. Push the MENU button and touch “Driver Assistance” on the lower display.
2. Touch “Blind Spot Assist”.
3. Touch “Blind Spot Warning” to enable or disable the system.

Predictive Forward Collision
Warning (PFCW)
The Predictive Forward Collision Warning (PFCW) system uses
a sensor in front of the vehicle to analyze the distance and
speed of the vehicle ahead.
• The PFCW system operates above speeds of
3 mph (5 km/h).
• If there is a risk of a forward
collision, a warning to the driver by
flashing indicator will appear
,
along with an audible alert.
TURNING PREDICTIVE FORWARD
COLLISION WARNING ON OR OFF
1. Press the MENU button
below the lower display.
2. Touch the “Driver Assistance” key
on the lower display.
3. Touch the “Emergency Assist” key
4. Touch the “Emergency Braking”
key to turn system on or off.
• A warning light will illuminate
when the system is off. The PFCW system automatically
turns back on when the engine is restarted.

The I-BI system can help alert
the driver of an approaching
vehicle or objects behind the
vehicle when backing out of
parking spaces.
• I-BI system will turn
on when the shift lever
is in reverse and the
vehicle speed is less than
5 mph (8 km/h).
• Warning chimes and the
indicator light located near the outside mirrors will
illuminate and indicators will appear on the touch screen
display
.
TURNING INTELLIGENT BACK-UP INTERVENTION
(I-BI) ON OR OFF
1. Press the MENU button
below the lower display.
2. Touch “Settings” and then touch “Camera”
on the lower display.
3. Touch “Camera”
4. Touch the “BCI” key to turn the system ON or OFF.
