When you fold the rear (2nd and/or3rd row) seatback, insert the bucklein the pocket between the rear seat‐back and cushion. Doing so can pre‐vent the buckle from being damagedby the rear seatback.

When returning the rear (2nd and/or3rd row) seatbacks to the uprightposition, remember to return therear shoulder belts to their properposition. Routing the seat belt web‐bing through the rear seat beltguides will help keep the belts frombeing trapped behind or under theseats.

•Always make sure the child re‐straint system is secured properlyin the vehicle and your child is se‐curely restrained in the child re‐straint system.
•Never hold a child in your arms orlap when riding in a vehicle. The vi‐olent forces created during a crashwill tear the child from your armsand throw the child against the ve‐hicle’s interior.
•Never put a seat belt over yourselfand a child. During a crash, the beltcould press deep into the childcausing serious internal injuries.
•Never leave children unattended ina vehicle – not even for a shorttime. The vehicle can heat up veryquickly, resulting in serious injuriesto children inside the vehicle.Even very young children may in‐advertently cause the vehicle tomove, entangle themselves in thewindows, or lock themselves orothers inside the vehicle.

•Never allow two children, or anytwo persons, to use the same seatbelt.
•Children often squirm and reposi‐tion themselves improperly. Neverlet a child ride with the shoulderbelt under their arm or behindtheir back. Always properly posi‐tion and secure children in the rearseat.
•Never allow a child to standup orkneel on the seat or floor of amoving vehicle. During a collisionor sudden stop, the child can be vi‐olently thrown against the vehi‐cle’s interior, resulting in seriousinjury.
•Never use an infant carrier or achild restraint system that "hooks"over a seatback, it may not pro‐vide adequate security in an acci‐dent.
•Seat belts can become very hot,especially when the vehicle isparked in direct sunlight. Alwayscheck the seat belt buckles beforefastening them over a child.

•The SRS can function only whenthe ignition key is in the ON posi‐tion. If the SRS air bag warninglight does not illuminate, or contin‐uously remains on after illuminat‐ing for about 6 seconds when theignition key is turned to the ONposition, or after the engine isstarted, comes on while driving,the SRS is not working properly. Inthis case, have the system inspec‐ted by a professional workshop.Kia recommends to visit an au‐thorized Kia dealer/service part‐ner.
•Before you replace a fuse or dis‐connect a battery terminal, turnthe ignition switch to the LOCK po‐sition and remove the ignition key.Never remove or replace the airbag related fuse(s) when the igni‐tion switch is in the ON position.Failure to heed this warning willcause the SRS air bag warninglight to illuminate.
