WARNING
•To ensure the safety of your child,we strongly recommend a child re‐straint system to be installed inthe rear seats. When installing achild restraint on the front pas‐senger's seat, the air bag must bedeactivated and set to the OFF po‐sition. (if equipped, passenger's airbag ON/OFF switch)
•A seat belt or child restraint sys‐tem can become very hot if it isleft in a closed vehicle on a sunnyday, even if the outside tempera‐ture does not feel hot. Be sure tocheck the seat cover and bucklesbefore placing a child there.

•When the child restraint system isnot in use, store it in the luggagearea or fasten it with a seat beltor ISOFIX anchorage, so that it willnot be thrown forward in case of asudden stop or an accident.
•All children, even those too largefor child restraints, should ride inthe rear seat. All children, eventhose too large for child restraints,should ride in the rear seats.
WARNING
To reduce the chance of serious orfatal injuries:•Children of all ages are safer whenrestrained in the rear seat. A childriding in the front passenger seatcan be forcefully struck by an in‐flating air bag resulting in seriousor fatal injuries.
•Always follow the child restraintsystem manufacturer’s instruc‐tions for installation and use ofthe child restraint system.

Always remove floor under tray cov‐er when using a child restraint seatwith support leg on second row out‐board seating position.Support leg should have to contactstably on the vehicle floor.

•A child can be seriously injured orkilled in a collision if the child re‐straint system is not properlyanchored to the vehicle and thechild is not properly restrained inthe child restraint system. Beforeinstalling the child restraint sys‐tem, read the instructions suppliedby the child restraint system man‐ufacturer.
•If the seat belt does not operateas described in this section, havethe system checked by a profes‐sional workshop. Kia recommendsto visit an authorized Kia dealer/service partner.

WARNING
•When using the vehicle's "ISOFIX"system to install a child restraintsystem in the rear seat, all unusedvehicle rear seat belt metal latchplates or tabs must be latched se‐curely in their seat belt bucklesand the seat belt webbing must beretracted behind the child restraintsystem to prevent the child fromreaching and taking hold of unre‐tracted seat belts. Unlatched met‐al latch plates or tabs may allowthe child to reach the unretractedseat belts which may result instrangulation and a serious injuryor death to the child in the childrestraint system.
•Do not place anything around thelower anchors. Also make surethat the seat belt is not caught inthe lower anchors.

•Do not install or place any acces‐sories near air bag deploymentareas, such as the instrumentpanel, windows, pillars, and roofrails.
