Low Tire PressureWarning Light (if equipped)
This warning light illuminates:
Once you set the Engine Start/Stop Button to the ON position.
- It illuminates for approximately 3seconds and then goes off.
When one or more of your tires are significantly underinflated (The
location of the underinflated tires
are displayed on the LCD display).
❈ For more details, refer to “Tire
Pressure Monitoring System
(TPMS)” in chapter 6.
The TPMS cannot alert you to severe and sudden tire damage
caused by external factors.
If you notice any vehicle instability, immediately take your foot off the
accelerator pedal, apply the brakes
gradually with light force, and slow-
ly move to a safe position off the
road. This warning light remains on after
blinking for approximately 60 seconds
or repeats blinking on and off at the
intervals of approximately 3 seconds:
When there is a malfunction with
the TPMS.
In this case, have the vehicle
inspected by an authorized K900
Kia dealer.

LED Headlamp Warning
Light (if equipped)
This warning light illuminates:
Once you set the Engine Start/Stop Button to the ON position.
- It illuminates for approximately 3seconds and then goes off.
When there is a malfunction with the LED headlamp.
In this case, have the vehicle inspect-
ed by an authorized K900 Kia dealer.
This warning light blinks:
When there is a malfunction with a LED headlamp related part.
In this case, have the vehicle inspect-
ed by an authorized K900 Kia dealer.
✽ ✽ NOTICE
Continuous driving with the LED
Headlamp Warning Light on or
blinking can reduce LED headlamp
(low beam) life.
WARNING - Low tire
pressure
Significantly low tire pressure makes the vehicle unstable
and can contribute to loss of
vehicle control and increased
braking distances.
Continued driving on low pres- sure tires will cause the tires to
overheat and fail.

Description
The head up display is a transparent
display which projects a shadow of
some information of the instrument
cluster and navigation on the wind-
shield glass. The head up display image on the
windshield glass may not be visible
when:
- Sitting posture prevents visibility.
- Wearing polarized sunglasses.
- There is an object on the cover ofthe head up display.
- Driving on a wet road.
- Lighting is turned on inside the vehicle.
- Any light comes from the outside.
- Wearing inadequate glasses for your eyesight.
If the head up display image is not shown well, adjust the height, rota-
tion or illumination of the head up
display in the Navigation touch
screen in instrument panel.
When the head up display needs inspection or repair, consult an
authorized K900 Kia dealer.
Do not place any accessories on the dashboard or attach any
objects on the windshield glass.
✽ ✽ NOTICE
Installing window tint or any other
type of metallic coating on the wind-
shield can prevent the driver from
seeing the Head Up Display images.
✽ ✽NOTICE
When replacing the front wind-
shield glass of vehicles equipped
with the head up display, replace it
with a windshield glass designed for
the head up display operation.
Otherwise, duplicated images may
be displayed on the windshield glass.

Self-diagnosis
When you shift the gear to the R
(Reverse) position and if one or more
of the below occurs you may have a
malfunction in the parking distance
warning system.
You don't hear an audible warning
sound or if the buzzer sounds inter-
mittently.
If this occurs, have the system
checked by an authorized K900 kia
dealer.

The rear view monitor will activate
with the ignition switch ON, engine
ON and the shift lever in the R
(Reverse) position.This system is a supplemental sys-
tem that shows the area behind the
vehicle on the audio screen while
backing up. If the vehicle is equipped
with a navigation system, then the
system will display the image on the
navigation screen. Also, the system
displays the area behind the vehicle
when the vehicle is in Neutral or
Drive if the following conditions are
met:
- IGN Status : ON
- Gearshift Status : D or N
- Rear view camera switch (1) : ON
This system is a supplemental sys-
tem only. It is the responsibility of
the driver to always check the
inside/outside rearview mirrors and
the area behind the vehicle before
and while backing up.
Always keep the camera lens clean. If lens is covered with for-
eign matter, the camera may not
operate normally. ❈
If your vehicle is equipped with
AVN (Audio, Video and Navigation)
system, rearview display will show
behind the vehicle through the
AVN monitor while backing-up.
Refer to a separately supplied
manual for detailed information.

Backing & using monitor
Never rely solely on the rear view
monitor. You must always use
methods of viewing the area
behind you including looking
over both shoulders as well as
continuously checking all three
rear view mirrors. Due to the dif-
ficulty of ensuring that the area
behind you remains clear, always
back up slowly and stop immedi-
ately if you suspect that a per-
son, and especially a child, might
be behind you.

BVM (Blind-spot view monitor) sys-
tem displays the passenger-side rear
areas in the cluster when the system
is activated.
To turn on BVM system: Under con-
dition BVM system is enabled in the
settings(1) The ignition switch is turned to
the ON position.
(2) The turn signal is activated
(When Hazard warning switch is
pushed on, BVM (Blind-spot view
monitor) deactivates.)
To turn off BVM system
(1) The ignition switch is turned to the OFF position.
(2) The turn signal is deactivated
(3) A warning screen pops up and takes priority over the BVM sys-
tem.

Objects are closer than they appear. Failure to visually
confirm that is safe to change
the lane before doing so may
result in crash and serious
injury or death.
Always keep the camera lens clean. The camera may not
work normally if the lens is

Automatic heating and air con-
ditioning
1. Press the AUTO button. Themodes, fan speeds, air intake and
air-conditioning will be controlled
automatically by setting the tem-
perature.
2. Press the temperature buttons orturn the temperature control knob
to the desired temperature.
✽ ✽NOTICE
• To turn the automatic operation
off, select any button or switch of
the following:
- Mode selection button
- Air conditioning button
- Front windshield defroster button(Press the button one more time
to deselect the front windshield
defroster function. The ‘AUTO’
sign will illuminate on the infor-
mation display once again.)
- Air intake control button
- Fan speed control switch
The selected function will be con-
trolled manually while other func-
tions operate automatically.
• For your convenience and to improve the effectiveness of the
climate control, use the AUTO
button and set the temperature to
72°F (22°C). (Continued)

• If you turn on the ignition with
“The Auto Comfort Control” set
from the audio display, the wheel
heater wiring/ seat warmer/ air
ventilation seat will be automati-
cally controlled according to the
temperature. Using the switch, the
driver can operate the system
according to the switch level.
Initial setting for “The Auto
Comfort Control” is off, so acti-
vate it on the audio display for use.
This function operates only for
vehicles equipped with the wheel
heater wiring/seat warmer/air
ventilation seat.
✽ ✽ NOTICE
Never place anything near the sen-
sor to ensure better control of the
heating and cooling system.

The temperature will decrease to the
minimum (Lo) by pressing the tem-
perature button with the arrow point-
ed downward or turning the knob to
the extreme left.
When pressing the temperature but-
ton or turning the knob, the tempera-
ture will increase or decrease by
0.5°C/1°F. When set to the lowest
temperature setting, the air condi-
tioning will operate continuously.
Turn the rear seat temperature con-
trol knob to adjust temperature.
The front and rear seat side temper-
ature is adjusted individually. Adjusting the driver and passenger
side temperature equally
Press the “SYNC” button to adjust
the driver and passenger side tem-
perature equally.
The passenger side temperature
will be set to the same temperature
as the driver side temperature.
Turn the driver side temperature control knob. The driver and pas-
senger side temperature will be
adjusted equally. Adjusting the driver and passenger
side temperature individually
Press the “SYNC” button again to
adjust the driver and passenger
side temperature individually. The
illumination of button turns off.
Operate the driver side tempera- ture control button to adjust the
driver side temperature.
Operate the passenger side tem- perature control button to adjust
the passenger side temperature.
Temperature conversion
You can switch the temperature
mode from Centigrade to Fahrenheit
as follows:
While pressing the OFF button,
press the AUTO button for 3 seconds
or more.
The display will change from
Centigrade to Fahrenheit, or from
Fahrenheit to Centigrade.
If the battery has been discharged or
disconnected, the temperature mode
display will reset to Fahrenheit.

OFF mode
Press the front blower OFF button to
turn off the front air climate control
system. However, you can still oper-
ate the mode and air intake buttons
as long as the ignition switch is in the
ON position.
Switch lighting function (if equipped)
During night driving, if hands are
near to touch the climate control sys-
tem, button lighting will increase for
better recognition. Switch lighting
function can be selected or deselect-
ed on the audio display. Hands in
gloves are not recognized for this
function.
WARNING - Recirculated
Air
Continued use of the climate
control system in the recirculat-
ed air position can cause
drowsiness or sleepiness, and
loss of vehicle control. Set the
air intake control to the outside
(fresh) air position as much as
possible while driving.
WARNING - Sleeping with
A/C on
Do not sleep in a vehicle with
the air conditioning or heating
on as this may cause serious
harm or death due to a drop in
the oxygen level and/or body
