Seat Warmers*
Press button to cycle through the Seat Warmer settings:
•High setting - Two LEDs illuminated
•Low setting - One LED illuminated
•Off - LEDs not illuminated
Front Seat Headrest Adjustment
To adjust headrest forward: Pull headrest forward at an upward
angle to one of several positions .
To adjust headrest back: Pull headrest completely forward at an
upward angle, then release .
To raise headrest: Pull headrest up .
To lower headrest: Press lock, then press the headrest down .

•With the seat warmer switch in the ON position, the heating system in the seat turns off or on automatically depending on the seat temperature •System turns OFF when ignition is cycled . To turn system ON, press the seat warmer switch

Pull lever A to slide Seat forward/backward .
Pull/press lever B to adjust Seat Height .

Folding Rear Seatback
To F o l d :
1 . Ensure the belt strap is in the guide A (4-door model)
Insert the metal seat belt tab into the holder B (5-door model)
2 . Adjust the Front Seatback in the upright position and lower the
headrest to the lowest position
3 . Pull on the Rear Seatback lock release lever C D, then fold the seat
toward the front
To U n f o l d :
1 . Pull the lock release lever C D and lift the Seatback backward until it
clicks firmly in place .
2 . Return the rear seat belt to the proper position
REMINDERS:
• Before unfolding Seatback, ensure the metal seat belt tab is placed into the holder
•Always make sure the seatback is locked in place when unfolded

Hood Release Lever and Latch
Opening the Hood:
1 . Pull the Hood Release Lever A to unlatch
the Hood
2 . In the front of the vehicle, lift the Hood
slightly, push the secondary Latch B to
the left inside of the hood’s center and lift
the hood
3 . Pull out the support rod from the Hood and
set into place to hold the Hood open
Fuel Door Release Lever
Lift the lever C upwards to release
the fuel door .
Trunk Release Lever
(4-door model)
Lift the lever D upwards to unlock
the trunk lid .
Sunvisor
Use the Sunvisor to shield direct light through the front or side
windows . Slide the Sunvisor out and adjust as needed .
REMINDERS:
•Sunvisor may not shield all direct light
• The Sunvisor may impair visibility if not adjusted properly . Do not operate the vehicle if Sunvisor is impairing your visibility
• Be aware of seating position when adjusting or swinging Sunvisor around to or from the front or side windows .
REMINDER: Open the Hood only after turning the engine off, on a flat surface, with the gear shift in P (Park) position and setting the parking brake .
Closing the Hood:
Lower the Hood about halfway and then press down to securely lock
in place .
REMINDER: While lowering and closing, keep hands away from under the Hood .

REMINDER: After the tire is properly sealed, drive cautiously, keeping vehicle speed below 50 mph and driving no more than 120 miles .
Child Safety Locks
Located on the rear edge of the rear passenger doors,
insert the ignition key into the hole and turn the key to
the LOCK position to disable the inner door handles from
opening the rear doors .
REMINDER: Child Safety Lock is located on rear passenger’s door jamb .

Tire Mobility Kit
The Tire Mobility Kit enables you to quickly and
effectively seal certain types of tire damage, enabling
you to drive to the nearest service center . As a result,
not all types of tire damage will require towing .

Seat Belt Retractor Locks
Retractor locks allow lap/shoulder seat belts to remain unlocked during
normal vehicle operation for freedom of movement and increased comfort .
During a STRONG STOP, SUDDEN TURN OR CERTAIN COLLISIONS, seat belt
retractors will automatically lock the belts to reduce the risk of injury .

To properly fasten your safety belts:
1 . Insert the belt tongue plate A into the buckle B until it clicks
2 . Position the lap portion of the belt across your lap as LOW ON THE
HIPS as possible C . Adjust the belt to a SNUG FIT by pulling up on the
shoulder portion D
REMINDER: For maximum protection, always wear your seat belt .
Occupant Detection System (ODS) / Passenger
Airbag Indicator
ODS detects the presence of the front passenger and adjusts or turns off
airbag deployment accordingly .
Depending on the situation and type of
accident, the system may:
•Deploy airbag (Adult)
•Not deploy the airbag (Unoccupied)
If the system determines that the airbag should not be deployed, the
“PASSENGER AIR BAG OFF” light will illuminate .
Please refer to your Owner’s Manual and the separate brochure titled “Understanding Your Safety Belt & Supplemental Restraint System” for more detailed information regarding your vehicle’s airbags.
