COMPASS MINI-TRIP
COMPUTER (CMTC) (for
versions/markets, where
provided)
NOTE:
If the vehicle is equipped with a
Global Positioning System (GPS)
Navigation Radio, the variance
and calibration menu will be
eliminated.
The Compass Mini-Trip Computer is
located in the instrument cluster and
features a driver-interactive display
which provides outside temperature,
compass direction (for versions/
markets, where provided) , and trip
information.
NOTE:
The system will display the last
known outside temperature when
starting the vehicle and may need
to be driven several minutes before
the updated temperature is dis-
played. Engine temperature can
also affect the displayed tempera-
ture; therefore, temperature read-ings are not updated when the ve-
hicle is not moving.
RESET BUTTONS
Reset Button
Pressing the STEP button located on
the steering wheel to scroll through
sub menus (i.e., Odometer, Trip A,
Trip B, DTE, Speed, AVG Fuel, Am-
bient Temp)
Pressing the reset button while in one
of the following menus (i.e., Trip A,
Trip B, AVG Fuel), will reset the dis-
played value.
When the appropriate conditions ex-
ist, the following messages will dis-
play:
NE
. . . . . . . . . Eight-point compass
headings are displayed
(N, S, E, W, NE, NW, SE, SW)
22°C . . . . . . . . . . . . . Temperature
(Fahrenheit or Celsius)
AVG . . Average Fuel Economy (U.S.
or Metric)
DTE . . . . . . . . . Distance to Empty
P . . . . . . . . . . . Park Assist On/Off Should this wrench symbol
display with the letter

next to it, your Park Assist
System needs servicing (for

Trip Odometer (ODO) / ECO (Fuel
Saver Indicator) (for

This display shows the distance trav-
eled since the last reset.
Trip A
Shows the total distance traveled for
Trip A since the last reset.
Trip B
Shows the total distance traveled for
Trip B since the last reset.
COMPASS/TEMPERATURE
DISPLAY
Compass Variance
Compass Variance is the difference
between Magnetic North and Geo-
graphic North. To ensure compass ac-
curacy, the compass variance should
be properly set according to the vari-
ance map for the zone where the ve-170

Press and release the UP or DOWN
button until “Vehicle Info” displays in
the EVIC and press the SELECT but-
ton. Press the UP and DOWN button
to scroll through the selections below:
Coolant Temp
Displays the actual coolant tempera-
ture.
Oil Pressure
Displays the actual oil pressure.
Engine Hours
Displays the number of hours of en-
gine operation.
MESSAGES
Press and release the UP or DOWN
button until “Messages: XX” displays
highlighted in the EVIC. If there is
more than one message, pressing the
SELECT button will display a stored
warning message. Press and release
the UP and DOWN buttons if there is
more than one message to step
through the remaining stored mes-sages. If there are no message, press-
ing the SELECT button will do noth-
ing.
UNITS
Press and release the UP or DOWN
button until “Units” displays high-
lighted in the EVIC and press the
SELECT button. The EVIC, odom-
eter, and navigation system (for
versions/markets, where provided)
can be changed between English and
Metric units of measure. To make
your selection, scroll up or down until
the preferred setting is highlighted,
then press and release the SELECT
button until a check-mark appears
next to the setting, showing that the
setting has been selected.
KEYLESS ENTER-N-GO
DISPLAY (for
versions/markets, where
provided)
When the ENGINE START/STOP
button is pressed to change ignition
switch position, current ignition sta-
tus will be displayed in the lower right
corner of the EVIC display to the right
of the odometer value.Refer to “Keyless Enter-N-Go” in
“Starting And Operating” for more
information.
COMPASS /
TEMPERATURE DISPLAY
The compass readings indicate the di-
rection the vehicle is facing. The
EVIC will display one of eight com-
pass readings and the outside tem-
perature.
NOTE:
The system will display the last

also affect the displayed tempera-
ture; therefore, temperature read-
ings are not updated when the ve-
hicle is not moving.
Automatic Compass Calibration
This compass is self-calibrating,
which eliminates the need to manu-
ally reset the compass. When the ve-
hicle is new, the compass may appear
erratic and the EVIC will display CAL
until the compass is calibrated. You

NOTE:
If your vehicle has experienced
any damage in the area where the
sensor is located, even if the fascia
is not damaged, the sensor may
have become misaligned. Take
your vehicle to an authorized
dealer to verify sensor alignment.
Having a sensor that is misaligned
will result in the BSM not operat-
ing to specification.

RB2 touch-screen radio iPod®/
USB/MP3 control feature, refer to
the separate RBZ/RHB, RHR, RHP,
RHW or RB2 User's Manual.
iPod®/USB/MP3 control is avail-
able only for versions/markets,
where provided with these radios.This feature allows an iPod® or exter-
nal USB device to be plugged into the
USB port, located in the glove com-
partment.
iPod® control supports Mini, 4G,
Photo, Nano, 5G iPod® and iPhone®
devices. Some iPod® software ver-
sions may not fully support the iPod®
control features. Please visit Apple’s
website for software updates.
NOTE:
If the radio has a USB port, refer
to the appropriate Uconnect™
Multimedia radio User’s Manual
for iPod® or external USB de-
vice support capability.
Connecting an iPod® or con- sumer electronic audio device to
the AUX port located in the ra-
dio faceplate, plays media, but
does not use the iPod® /MP3
control feature to control the
connected device.
