BASIC FUNCTION
6. MAP SCREEN OPERATION
The current position mark ( ) appears
in the centre or bottom centre of the
map screen.
A street name will appear on the bot-
tom of the screen, depending on the
scale of the map ( ).
CURRENT POSITION
DISPLAY
Press the “MENU” button on the
Remote Touch, then select “Navi”,
and select if the navigation
menu screen is displayed, to display
the current position. This screen
displays the current position and a
map of the surrounding area.
To correct the current position manu-
ally, see page 155.
INFORMATION
While driving, the current position
mark is fixed on the screen and the
map moves.
The current position is automatically
set as the vehicle receives signals
from the GPS (Global Positioning
System). If the current position is not
correct, it is automatically corrected
after the vehicle receives signals from
the GPS.
After the 12-volt battery disconnec-
tion, or on a new vehicle, the current
position may not be correct. As soon
as the system receives signals from
the GPS, the correct current position
is displayed.

An antenna for the Bluetooth® connection is built in the instru-
ment panel. The condition of the Bluetooth® connection may
deteriorate and the system may not function when a Bluetooth®
phone is used in the following conditions and/or places:
The cellular phone is obstructed by certain objects (such as
when it is behind the seat or in the glove box and console
box).
The cellular phone touches or is covered with metal materi-
als.
Leave the Bluetooth
® phone in a place where the condition of
the Bluetooth® connection is good.
When the cellular phone is not connected, “No connect” is dis-
played.

INFORMATION
If your cellular phone does not sup-
port Bluetooth®, this system cannot
function.
In the following conditions, the sys-
tem may not function:
• The cellular phone is turned off.
• The current position is outside the
communication area.
• The cellular phone is not connected.
• The cellular phone has a low battery.
When using Bluetooth® audio and
hands-free at the same time, the fol-
lowing problems may occur:
• The Bluetooth
® connection may be
cut.
• Noise may be heard on the
Bluetooth
® audio playback.

2. SOME BASICS
This section describes some of the
basic features of the audio/video sys-
tem. Some information may not per-
tain to your system.
Your audio/video system works
when the “POWER” switch is turned
to ACCESSORY or ON mode.
CAUTION
This product is a Class 1 laser product
classified under the Safety of laser
products, IEC 60825-1:2007, and
contains a class 1M laser module. To
ensure continued safety, do not
remove any covers or attempt to gain
access to the inside of the product.
Refer all servicing to qualified per-
sonnel.
NOTICE
To prevent the 12-volt battery from
being discharged, do not leave the
audio/video system on longer than
necessary when the hybrid system is
not operating.

and hold it until a beep is heard.
If the “Service presets” screen does not
appear, select “Service presets” on the
“Service list” screen.
This sets the service to the screen but-
ton.
The service name will be displayed in
the screen button.
To change the preset service to a differ-
ent one, follow the same procedure.Press the “ ” or “ ” button of Chan-
nel/Track.

Turn the Tune/Scroll knob.
Select one of the displayed services on
the service list screen.
Select one of the preset services on the
service presets screen.
PRESETTING A SERVICE
Up to 6 preset services can be regis-
tered.
INFORMATION
The preset service memory is deleted
when the power source is interrupted
by 12-volt battery disconnection or a
blown fuse.

6. iPod OPERATION
1Press the lid, open the cover and con-
nect iPod using an iPod cable.
Turn on the power of the iPod if it is not
turned on.
Connecting an iPod enables users to
enjoy music from the vehicle speak-
ers.
CAUTION
Do not operate the player’s controls
or connect iPod while driving.
NOTICE
Depending on the size and shape of
the iPod that is connected to the sys-
tem, the lid may not close fully. In
this case, do not forcibly close the lid
as this may damage the iPod or the
terminal, etc.
Do not leave your portable player in
the car. In particular, high tempera-
tures inside the vehicle may damage
the portable player.
Do not push down on or apply unnec-
essary pressure to the portable player
while it is connected as this may dam-
age the portable player or its terminal.
Do not insert foreign objects into the
port as this may damage the portable
player or its terminal.
INFORMATION
When an iPod is connected using a
genuine iPod cable, the iPod starts
charging its battery.

The quality of the Bluetooth® connec-
tion is indicated as follows:
: An excellent connection to
Bluetooth®.
: Indicates a bad connection to
Bluetooth
®, resulting in possible deteri-
oration of audio quality.
: No connection to Bluetooth
®.
Indicates the amount of battery charge
left.
INFORMATION
In the following conditions, the sys-
tem may not function:
• The portable player is turned off.
• The portable player is not con-
nected.
• The portable player has a low bat-
tery.
It may take time to connect the tele-
phone when Bluetooth® audio is
being played.
Portable players must correspond to
the following specifications in order
to be connected to the Bluetooth
®
audio system. However, some func-
tions may be limited depending on the
type of portable player. Also, the dif-
ferent screen is displayed depending
on which portable player is connect-
ing.

The “POWER” switch must be in

A function that enables automatic
return to the previous screen from the
air conditioning control screen can be
selected. See page 61 for details.
NOTICE
To prevent 12-volt battery discharge,
do not leave the air conditioning sys-
tem on longer than necessary when
the hybrid system is stopped.
INFORMATION
During use, various odors from inside
and outside the vehicle may enter into
and accumulate in the air condition-
ing system. This may then cause odor
to be emitted from the vents.
To reduce potential odors from occur-
ring:
• It is recommended that the air condi-
tioning system be set to outside air
mode prior to turning the vehicle
off.
• The start timing of the blower may
be delayed for a short period of time
immediately after the air condition-
ing system is started in automatic
operation mode.

The windshield wiper de-icer will auto-
matically turn off after approximately
15 minutes.

matically after approximately 1 to 3
minutes.
NOTICE
To prevent 12-volt battery discharge,
turn the defoggers off when the
hybrid system is not operating.
WINDSHIELD WIPER
DE-ICER*
This feature is used to prevent ice
from building up on the windshield
and wiper blades.
The “POWER” switch must be in
ON mode.
CAUTION
When the windshield wiper de-icer is
on, do not touch the glass at the lower
part of the windshield or to the side of
the front pillars as the surfaces can
become very hot and burn you.
POLLEN REMOVAL MODE
Outside air mode switches to recircu-
lated air mode. Pollen is removed
from the air that flows to the upper
part of the body.
To stop the operation, press the micro
dust and pollen filter button or select
again.
