CAUTION
When raising your vehicle
Make sure to observe the following precautions to reduce the possibility of
death or serious injury:
When using a floor jack, follow the instructions of the manual provided
with the jack.
Do not use the jack that was supplied with your vehicle.
Do not put any part of your body underneath the vehicle when it is sup-
ported only by the floor jack.
Always use floor jack and/or automotive jack stands on a solid, flat, level
surface.
Do not start the hybrid system while the vehicle is supported by the floor
jack.
Stop the vehicle on level, firm ground, firmly set the parking brake and
shift the shift lever to P.
Make sure to set the floor jack properly at the jack point.
Raising the vehicle with an improperly positioned floor jack will damage
the vehicle and may cause the vehicle to fall off the floor jack.
Do not raise the vehicle while someone is in the vehicle.
When raising the vehicle, do not place any object on top of or underneath
the floor jack.
Lift up the vehicle using a floor jack
such as the one shown in the illustra-
tion.

Drive for a short while
and check if the display
updates.
If the radio wave
conditions improve,
the display may
return to normal. If
the tire pressure is
still not displayed
after driving for sev-
eral minutes, stop the
vehicle in a safe
place, turn the power
switch off then on
again, and start driv-
ing.
If the tire pressure is
still not displayed
even after repeating
this several times,
have the vehicle
inspected by any
authorized Lexus
dealer or repairer, or

Stopping the hybrid system
Shift the shift lever to P and press the power switch as you normally do when
stopping the hybrid system.
Replacing the key battery
As the above procedure is a temporary measure, it is recommended that the
electronic key battery be replaced immediately when the battery is depleted.

Alarm (if equipped)
Using the mechanical key to lock the doors will not set the alarm system.
If a door is unlocked using the mechanical key when the alarm system is set,
the alarm may be triggered.
Changing power switch modes
Release the brake pedal and press the power switch in step above.
The hybrid system does not start and modes will be changed each time the
switch is pressed.(P. 247)
When the electronic key does not work properly
Make sure that the smart entry & start system has not been deactivated in
the customization setting. If it is off, turn the function on.

Check if battery-saving mode is set. If it is set, cancel the function. (P.
149)

Add coolant if necessary. (P. 923)
Water can be used in an emergency if engine coolant is unavailable.
Start the hybrid system and turn the air conditioning system on
to check that the radiator cooling fans operate and to check for
coolant leaks from the radiator or hoses.
The fans operate when the air conditioning system is turned on immedi-
ately after a cold start. Confirm that the fans are operating by checking
the fan sound and air flow. If it is difficult to check these, turn the air
conditioning system on and off repeatedly. (The fans may not operate in
freezing temperatures.)
If the fans are not operating:
Stop the hybrid system immediately and contact your Lexus
dealer.
If the fans are operating:
Have the vehicle inspected at the nearest Lexus dealer.

Start the hybrid system and check for the multi-information
display.
If the message does not disappear:
Stop the hybrid system and contact your Lexus dealer.

Have the vehicle inspected at the nearest Lexus dealer.
