Interior features

Illuminated entry system: The lights automa tically turn on/off according to engine
switch mode, the presence of the electronic key, whether the doors are locked/
unlocked, and whether the doors are opened/closed. ●
If the interior lights remain on when the engine switch is turned off, the lights will go off
automatically after 20 minutes. ●
In the following cases, the interior lights and front personal lights may not respond as
normal.
• When water, dirt, etc., have adhered to the lens surface
• When operated with a wet hand
• When wearing gloves, etc. ●
Some functions can be customized. (  P. 699)
NOTICE ●
Never remove the lens for the front interior light and front personal lights. Otherwise,
the lights will be damaged. If the lens ne ed to remove, contact your Lexus dealer.●
To prevent battery discharge, do not leav e the lights on longer than necessary when
the engine is off.

Do not leave glasses, lighters or spray cans in the storage spaces, as this may cause
the following when cabin temperature becomes high:
• Glasses may be deformed by heat or cracked if they come into contact with other
stored items.
• Lighters or spray cans may explode. If they come into contact with other stored
items, the lighter may catch fire or the spray can may release gas, causing a fire
hazard. ●
When driving or when the storage compartmen ts are not in use, keep the lids closed.
In the event of sudden braking or sudden swerving, an accident may occur due to an
occupant being struck by an open lid or the items stored inside. 1

Pull down the armrest and then press
down the button.To store a water bottle, push down the bottom
of the cup holder.
To return the bottom to its original position,
press the button.
WA R N I N G ●
Do not place anything other than cups, aluminum cans, or water bottles in the cup
holders. Other items may be thrown out of the holders in the event of an accident or
sudden braking, possibly caus ing injury. If possible, cover hot drinks to prevent burns.●
Rear cup holder: When not in use, keep the cup holders are closed. Injuries may
result in the event of an accident or sudden braking. 1

When storing a bottle, close the cap. ●
The bottle may not be stored depending on its size or shape. NOTICE
To prevent damage to the rear cup holder, stow the cup holder before stowing the arm-
rest.

Do not place open bottle, glass or paper cu ps containing liquid in the bottle holders.
Otherwise, contained liquid may be spilled. Gl ass cups may break if used in the bottle
holders.
Coin box

Keep the coin box closed while driving.
Injuries may result in the event of an accident or sudden braking.

Press in the lid. Lift the lid. 
Type C (if equipped)
Pull up the lever to release the lock, and
lift the lid. WA R N I N G
Type A: Do not store items heavier than 0.44 lb. (200 g).
Doing so may cause the auxiliary box to open and the items inside may fall out, result-
ing in an accident.

securing loose items.
To hang the cargo net, use the cargo

Insert either end of the luggage
cover into the recess, then com-
press the other end of the lug-
gage cover and insert it into the
recess.
Pull out the luggage cover and

Removing the luggage cover
Release the cover from the left
and right anchors and allow it to
retract.
Compress the end of the luggage
cover and lift the luggage cover
up. After removing the luggage cover,
place it somewhere other than the
passenger compartment. 1

Do not place anything on the luggage cover.
In the event of sudden braking or turn-
ing, the item may go flying and strike an occupant. This could lead to an unexpected
accident, resulting in death or serious injury. ●
Do not allow children to climb on the lugg age cover. Climbing on the luggage cover
could result in damage to the luggage cover, possibly causing death or serious injury
to the child.
