Driver Assist
In this mode, you can configure different driver setting choices.
Note:Some items are optional and may not appear.
Driver Assist
Traction Control — check enabled (default) / uncheck disabled
Blindspot — check enabled (default) / uncheck disabled
Collision Warning Sensitivity High / Normal / Low

F.A/C:Press to turn air conditioning off and on. Air conditioning cools the
vehicle using outside air. To improve air conditioning when starting your
vehicle, drive with the windows slightly open for two to three minutes.
Use A/C with recirculated air to improve cooling performance and
efficiency.
Note:A/C turns on automatically in MAX A/C, Defrost and Floor/Defrost.
G.Power:Press to turn the system off and on. When the system is off,
outside air cannot enter the vehicle.
H.AUTO:Press to turn on fully automatic operation. Select the desired
temperature using the temperature control. The system automatically
determines fan speed, air distribution, A/C operation, and outside or
recirculated air, to heat or cool the vehicle to maintain the selected
temperature.
I.Rear defrost:Turns the heated windows and mirrors off and on.
SeeHeated windows and mirrorslater in this chapter for more
information. If your vehicle is equipped with heated mirrors, this button
turns them on also.
J.Defrost:Distributes air through the windshield defroster vents and
demister vents. You can also use this setting to defog and clear the
windshield of a thin covering of ice.
REAR PASSENGER CLIMATE CONTROL (IF EQUIPPED)
Depending on your vehicle equipment, you may not have all the features
shown below.
A.Fan control:Turn to increase or decrease the fan speed or choose
the following:
•O:Select to switch the rear climate system fan off

•AUTO:Select to switch to automatic fan speed control. The system
automatically determines fan speed in order to reach and maintain the
desired temperature.
B.Heated seat controls (if equipped):Press to switch the heated
seats off and on. SeeHeated seatsin theSeatschapter for more
information.
C.Air distribution control:Press repeatedly to select airflow as
follows:
Distributes air through the overhead vents of the second and
third row seating areas.
Distributes air through the floor of the second or third row
seating areas.
Distributes air through the floor and overhead vents of the
second and third row seating areas.
D.Temperature control:Controls the temperature of the air circulated
in the rear of the vehicle. Turn to select the desired temperature.
E.
Cooled seat control (if equipped):Press to switch the cooled
seats off and on. SeeHeated and cooled seatsin theSeatschapter for
more information.
F.AUTO:Press to activate automatic control of the airflow direction in
the rear of the vehicle. The system automatically determines the airflow
distribution in order to reach and maintain the desired temperature.
G.REAR LOCK:Illuminates when the rear climate system is being
controlled by the front controls. The rear climate controls do not work
when this is illuminated.
GENERAL OPERATING TIPS
•To reduce fog build-up on the windshield during humid weather,
select defrost. Temperature and fan speed can also be increased to
improve clearing.
•To reduce humidity build-up inside the vehicle, do not drive with the
system off or with recirculated air engaged.
•Do not put objects under the front seats that will interfere with the
airflow to the back seats.
•Remove any snow, ice or leaves from the air intake area at the base
of the windshield.

•To improve the A/C cool down, drive with the windows slightly open
for 2-3 minutes after start-up or until the vehicle has been aired out.
•A small amount of air may be felt from the floor vent regardless of
the air distribution setting that is selected.
During extreme high ambient temperatures when idling stationary for
extended periods of time in gear, it is recommended to run the A/C in
the MAX A/C mode, adjust the blower fan speed to the lowest setting
and put the vehicle’s transmission into positionPto continue to receive
cool air from your A/C system.
For maximum cooling performance in AUTO, pressMAX A/C.
For maximum cooling performance in manual override control (using the
MyLincoln Touch climate controls):
1. Choose panel, A/C, and recirculation controls.
2. Set the temperature to LO.
3. Set the fan to the highest blower setting.
To aid in side window defogging and demisting in cold or humid weather:
1. Select defrost or floor/defrost (on the MyLincoln Touch climate
controls). To maximize performance select defrost.
2. SelectA/C.
3. Adjust the temperature control to maintain comfort.
4. Set the fan speed to the highest setting.
HEATED WINDOWS AND MIRRORS
Heated Rear Window
Note:The ignition must be switched on to use this feature.
Press the button to clear the rear window of thin ice and fog. Press the
button again within 10 minutes to switch it off. It switches off
automatically after 10 minutes, or when you switch the ignition off.
Do not use razor blades or other sharp objects to clean the inside
of the rear window or to remove decals from the inside of the
rear window. This may cause damage to the heated grid lines.
Your warranty does not cover this damage.

Heated Exterior Mirror (If Equipped)
Note:Do not remove ice from the mirrors with a scraper or attempt to
readjust the mirror glass if it is frozen in place. These actions could
cause damage to the glass and mirrors.
Note:Do not clean the housing or glass of any mirror with harsh
abrasives, fuel or other petroleum-based cleaning products.
Both mirrors are heated to remove ice, mist and fog when the rear
window defroster is activated.
CABIN AIR FILTER
Note:A cabin air filter must be installed at all times to prevent foreign
objects from entering the system. Running the system without a filter in
place could result in degradation or damage to the system.
Your vehicle is equipped with a cabin air filter, which is located just in
front of the windshield under the cowl grille on the passenger side of the
vehicle.
The particulate air filtration system is designed to reduce the
concentration of airborne particles, such as dust, spores and pollen, in
the air being supplied to the interior of the vehicle. The particulate
filtration system gives the following benefits to customers:
•Improves the customer’s driving comfort by reducing particle
concentration.
•Improves the interior compartment cleanliness.
•Protects the climate control components from particle deposits.

REMOTE START CLIMATE OPERATION (IF EQUIPPED)
The climate control system adjusts the cabin temperature during remote
start.
You cannot adjust the system during remote start operation. Turn the
ignition on to return the system to its previous settings. You can now
make adjustments. You will need to turn certain vehicle-dependent
features back on, such as:
•heated seats
•cooled seats
•heated steering wheel
•heated mirrors
•heated rear window.
You can adjust the settings using the information display controls. See
theInformation Displayschapter.
Automatic Climate Systems
In hot weather, the system is set to 72°F (22°C). Cooled seats are set to
high (if available and selected to AUTO in the information display).
In moderate weather, the system either heats or cools (based on
previous settings). The rear defroster, heated mirrors and heated/cooled
seats are not automatically turned on.
In cold weather, the system is set to 72°F (22°C). The heated seats and
heated steering wheel are set to high (if available, and selected to AUTO
in the information display). The rear defroster and heated mirrors are
automatically turned on.

Power Lumbar (Limo/Livery)
Four-Way Power Lumbar (If Equipped)
The lumbar control is located on the side of the seat cushion.
Press the front or rear of the
control to adjust firmness or
softness.
Press the top or bottom of the
control to raise or lower the height
of the lumbar support.
MEMORY FUNCTION (IF EQUIPPED)
This memory control, located on
the driver’s door, allows automatic
positioning of the driver seat
and power mirrors to three
programmable positions. You may
also have this feature for the steering
column and power adjustable foot
pedals.

Programming a memory position
Note:You can program a memory position at any time.
•To program position 1, move the memory features to the desired
positions using the associated controls. Press and hold button 1 for at
least two seconds. A chime will sound confirming that a memory
position has been set.
•To program position 2 and 3, repeat the previous procedure using the
respective buttons.
Recalling a memory position
You can recall a programmed memory position:
•in any gearshift position if the ignition is not on.
•only in positionPorNif the ignition is on.
Press the desired memory control to recall a memory position.
Recalling memory positions with the remote control
You can recall memory positions when you press unlock on your remote
control (if the transmitter is programmed to a memory position) or,
when you enter a valid personal entry code that is programmed to a
memory position. If the easy entry feature is enabled, the seat will first
move to the easy entry position. The seat will move to the final position
when the key is in the ignition or when the push button start system
(if equipped) is put in accessory mode or started.

Easy Entry and Exit Feature
This feature can move the seat rearward and the steering column up and
forward to allow extra room to exit the vehicle.
This occurs when:
•the transmission selector lever is in positionNorP
•the ignition is turned off
The seat and steering wheel will move to their original positions when:
•the transmission selector lever is in positionNorP
•the ignition is put in accessory mode or is started
Turn the easy entry feature off or on through the information display.

HEATED SEATS (IF EQUIPPED)
WARNING:Persons who are unable to feel pain to the skin
because of advanced age, chronic illness, diabetes, spinal cord
injury, medication, alcohol use, exhaustion, or other physical conditions,
must exercise care when using the seat heater. The seat heater may
cause burns even at low temperatures, especially if used for long
periods of time. Do not place anything on the seat that insulates against
heat, such as a blanket or cushion, because this may cause the seat
heater to overheat. Do not puncture the seat with pins, needles, or
other pointed objects because this may damage the heating element
which may cause the seat heater to overheat. An overheated seat may
cause serious personal injury.
The heated seats will only function when the ignition is in the on
position.
Note:Do not do the following:
•Place heavy objects on the seat
•Operate the seat heater if water or any other liquid is spilled on the
seat. Allow the seat to dry thoroughly.
To operate the heated seats:
Press the heated seat symbol to cycle through the various
heat settings and off. Warmer settings are indicated by
more indicator lights.
Second-Row Heated and Ventilated Seats (If Equipped)
The second-row heated and ventilated seat controls are located on the
rear of the floor console. They function the same as the front-row heated
and ventilated seats.
Second-Row Climate Controlled Seats Air Filter Replacement
The climate controlled seat system includes air filters that must be
replaced periodically. See thescheduled maintenance information.
There is an air filter located under the rear of each second-row seat.
You can tumble the seat forward to access the filter.
