You can only see this function ifyour vehi-
cle has a diesel engine. You can use the
heater booster to warm up the vehicle inte-
rior to the temperature you require more
qui ckly.

Select the function you require using
the æ orç button. You can
select the following:

Automatic
The heater booster is switched on if
the outside temperature is below
8° C and the coolant temperature
is less than 70 °C. It switches itself
off again at higher temperature s.

Off
The heater booster is switched off.

You can switch the heater booster
on and off using the ACOFF
(econ-
omy mode) button on the Thermatic
(= page 154) or Thermotronic*
(= page 164) system.

button is not lit.
The heater booster is switched on if

Activating the easy-entry feature*
You may activate or dea ctivat ethe easy-
entry feature using this function. Depend-
ing on your setting, the steering wheel
moves up and the dri ver's seat moves back
to help you to get out of the vehi cle when

remove the key from the ignition lock
! open the driv er's door and the key is in
position 0or 1in the ignition lock

exterior mirror on the front-passenger side

the "Getting started" section ( =page 31).
You will find information about mist edup
windscreens (= pages 159 and 169) and
demisting ( =pa ges 159 and 169) in the
"Thermatic" and "Thermotronic" sections.
The switch is located on the left next to the
steering wheel.
1 Headlamp cleaning 6
Make sure that the ignition isswitched
on.
6 Briefly press switch 1.
The headlamps are cleaned with a high-
pressur ewater jet. Rear-view mirror,

The rear-view mirror goes into anti-daz-

The driver's side exterior mirror and the
rear-view mirror adjust automatically if:

sor in the rea r-view mirror

sensor in the rear-view mirror, for instance,
if the rear window blind is extended, the mir-
ror's automatic anti-dazzle function will not
operate.
You could be dazzled byincident light. As a
result, you may nolon ger be able to observe
road and tra ffic condition sand cau sean
accid ent.In this case , flick theanti-dazzle
lever over by hand so that the rear-view mir-
ror goes into anti-dazzle mode ( =
page 148).
Do not permanently dea ctivate the anti-daz-

El ectrolyte is a strong irritant and must not
be allowed to come into contact with your
