amalfunction in the SRS (Supplemental Restraint Sys-
tem).

The airbags or belt tensioners may either be triggered uninten-
tionally or, in the event of an accident, may not be triggered.
This poses an increased risk of injury.
X Drive on carefully.
X Have SRS checked at aqualified specialist workshop immedi-
ately.

R in the fuel injection system
R in the exhaust system
R in the ignition system (for vehicles with petrol engines)
R in the fuel system
The emission limit values may be exceeded and the engine may
be running in emergency mode.
X Have the vehicle checked as soon as possible at aqualified
specialist workshop. Vehicles with
adiesel engine: the fuel tank has been run dry
(Y page 158).
X Start the engine three to four times after refuelling.
If the yellow engine diagnostics warning lamp goes out, emer-
gency running mode is cancelled. The vehicle need not be

ning. The fuel level has dropped into the reserve range.
Operation of the auxiliary heating is deactivated if the fuel level
drops into the reserve range.

the engine is running
and the coolant tem-
perature gauge is at the
start of the scale.
The temperature sensor for the coolant temperature gauge is
faulty.
The coolant temperature is no longer being monitored. There is a
risk of engine damage if the coolant temperature is too high.
X Stop the vehicle immediately, paying attention to road and traf-
fic conditions, and switch off the engine. Do not continue driving
under any circumstances.
X Secure the vehicle against rolling away (Y page 159).

Leave the vehicle and keep asafe distance from the vehicle until
the engine has cooled down.
X Check the coolant level and top up the coolant, observing the
warning notes (Y page 299).
X If you have to top up the coolant frequently, have the engine
cooling system checked.
X Make sure that the air supply to the engine radiator is not
blocked, e.g. by frozen slush.
X If the coolant temperature is below 120 †, you can continue
driving to the nearest qualified specialist workshop.
X Avoid heavy loads on the engine as you do so, e.g. driving in

an accident, the luggage net will not secure
the transported goods. Luggage nets are located in the front-
passenger footwell and on the left and right-

Always drive with the boot lid closed. Exhaust

If the rear seat backrest is not engaged, this
will be shown in the multifunction display in
the instrument cluster.
! Make sure that the seat belt does not
become trapped when folding the rear seat
backrest back. Otherwise, it could be dam-

Move the driver's or front-passenger seat
forward if necessary.
X Fold rear seat backrest :back until it
engages.
X Move the driver's or front-passenger seat

There are six lashing eyelets in the boot.
Bag hook G
WARNING
Only hang light loads on the bag holders. Do
not use them to transport heavy, sharp-edged
or fragile objects. When brakin gsharply,
changing direction quickly or in the event of
an accident, the bag hooks will not secure the
items sufficiently. This could result in injury to
yourself or others.
! The bag hook can bear amaximum load
of 3k g. Do not use it to secure aload. X

WARNING
Only load the EASY-PACK convenience box to
the maximum permissible load of 10 kg. To
preven toverloading, the floor of the box
moves down onto the boot floor mat when
loaded with more than approx. 5kg.
Do not transpor tsharp-edged and fragile
objects in the box.
Otherwise, e.g. in the event of arapid change
of direction or heavy braking, the objects
could be thrown out of the EASY-PACK con-
venience box and injure you and others.
! When the EASY-PACK convenience box is
pulledo ut, no objectsm ay be placed on the
frame of the box or pushed onto the frame
from above. Otherwise, the box could be
damaged.
Adjusting the height to any position G
WARNING
Make sure that your hands are not inside the
EASY-PACK convenience box when the load
surface moves up. Otherwise, you could be

Do not transport heavy ,sharp-edged and frag-
il eb ottle sint he bottle holder. In the event of
an accident, the bottle holde rcan no tsecure
the bottles adequately.
! Make sure that any bottles weighing more
than 0.5 kg that are stored in the bottle
holder rest on the vehicle floor. The bottle
holder could otherwise be damaged. X
Press the outer edge of button :and slide
in the direction of the arrow until the bottle
fits into the opening.
X Inser tthe bottle into the bottle holder.
The bottle holder is suitable for bottles with a
capacity from 0.7 lto1.5 l.
The bottle holder does not secure bottles; it
